The location if perfect when you want to relax. You have a direct access to the lake. We stayed 2 days and was good. You’ve a Bbq. There’s many stairs if you’ve a new Walker you’ve to play attention all the time. There’s no internet that’s an issue for us description on the website was not accurate. Unfortunately Water smells bad in the house but the good news is that you got a good location for a weekend.

The views are wonderful. Laid in futon watching fire flies and sunset. The cove was deep and could jump off deck and enjoy the quiet. But... Will never go back! Rented for 10 yr anniversary for quick 3 day vacation. You need to be ware that the road to get there is steep, can hurt under side of car if sharp turn to get on down hill rd to cabin. Upon arrival, door was unlocked and bathroom window open-unsafe as Someone could have been inside. Was 100 degrees inside. Was told cleaning lady would have place clean and turn AC units on...Took a long tome to cool down. Was in need of good cleaning as spider webs everywhere.. Also, there are 30 worn out wooden steps to get down to cabin and 80 concrete steps to get down to water. The lights on floating dock don’t work, hanging steps to get out of water onto deck were dangerous as the wood was broken and it almost broke off trying to get up. Plus screws were sticking out of wood! Almost sliced foot open. No water floats, bring own. Major concern was electrical on doc as husband is master electrician... open exposed electrical joints... Bed was not that comfortable, shower water smells I guess from sulfur. And you have to drive to take trash out the front of neighborhood with key and come back to return key to cabin when leaving. Again views great but really needs updating and fixing up. People should know it is not handicap friendly as well.

the property is very nice and quiet. the instructions took us straight to it. there are a lot of steps so that could be a concern. for us it wasn't an issue and the view was wonderful. we enjoyed the place and plan to return.

The cabin was the perfect size, beautiful view, and very clean. The only concern I had was the lighting along all of the stairs. Not bright enough. Stairs are steep and not for the out of shape, elderly, or severely disabled. Make all bags and coolers light when packing because it is a task getting items to and fro. With all that said WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME!!!

I had seen these photos and adored them. Yet once I actually got there after our 3 hr drive I noticed the photos were not accurate . The water level in the photos were no where near what they were when we went. so we had 118 steps just to get down and up to the water , not to mention the stairs from the parking space . I told the management I was bringing MY PARENTS . Not many parents in there 60s wanna be going up and down so many steps thats for sure. Also the electricity didnt work on the steps or boat dock so no evenings by the water so that was a big issue for us . Also the water from the sink smells HORRIBLE but we had water bottles to drink thank god . The windows were filthy with little hand prints all over them and dead bugs all over them . BUT I still made the best of it and had a good time . I was kinda sad for my parents tho concidering this vacation was for them . Next time I plan a trip I will for sure be asking for recent up dated photos . and make sure the water isnt over 200 steps away .

We had a great time at this place! Location was great and it was a great little house to stay in! Hatter Cove is beautiful! The owners were great as well and very responsive! Highly recommend staying here!

We were looking for a peaceful and laid-back weekend, and this is exactly what we got. We took a couple area hike and then spent lots of time down on the dock.

My girlfriend and our friends got together here over the long weekend. The property was very nice and well outfitted for lounging, cooking, etc. The highlight was the excellent swimming in the deep water cove. The lake was about 15 feet deep at the end of the dock and the water was very clear and very comfortable. Some things to note: there isn’t WiFi and the bed situation is one queen bed, a pullout couch, and a futon. But the beds were comfortable enough for us and we were able to stream using data as needed, so none of these things were a big deal. Our group has been to many different properties on Lake Travis and decided this was one of the best in terms of cost and quality!

We had an amazing time spending the days swimming off the dock and relaxing.

We had a good time. Arrived on a Thursday and left on a Friday. It's very tight driving through the neighborhood, so don't bring a boat / trailer down there. Be ready for a workout climbing steps. The property is as described. Although there are neighbors, it was very quiet and seemed secluded. I would return.

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful lakeside property to relax and work remotely. There is no internet but we were able to hot-spot from out cell phones fine with AT&T and Verizon - enough to do online video meetings. We brought our boat and tied it at the dock for daily excursions - recommend early morning or evening for the smoothest water. The location is ideal for someone who wants to be on the water but out of the main hustle and bustle of the lake. The accomodations are clean and functional and provide a nice view of the water. One bedroom but can easily sleep 4-6 out in the main room. Be careful on the way in because of steep roads - make sure to follow directions to get into the driveway the correct way! We will come and stay again.

Absolutely adorable cottage!! The owners were amazing to work with. And the house was so clean and comfy making the stay worth every penny.

Had a great time, the location is perfect. Randall was very informative on local information and things to do. The property was very clean and organized.

The property was exactly as described on the site. Check in was seamless and correspondence from the owners was prompt, professional and courteous. The cove is beautiful and the water clear. Was also deep as promised...55 feet in the center! Lots of steps from parking to house and house to boat dock. Great workout but not for those that may have physical limitations. Dock was in need of minor repair for access from steps and is without electricity which would have been nice for the boat. Also would be nice if covered part of boat dock was accessible to us as it had another older boat in it already. We had a boat and roads in community are not accommodating to anything larger than fishing boat with ramp access being a little tricky. Worked for us and other options existed. Overall was a fantastic time for my kids and would do it again.

The house was very comfortable. The location was great.

Randall was great to deal with and very understanding and an awesome person to meet. The cottage was great and the boat dock came in handy.

Our stay at this cottage was enjoyable... We were somewhat secluded, yet close enough to all the action so that we wouldn't have missed out on any action. We came down for the weekend, and we could not have asked for a more relaxing atmosphere to have given us a break from city life. I highly recommend this place for a romantic getaway.

My Wife and I rented this Cottage in Hatter Cove for the 4th of July weekend. We had such a great time! The Cottage was clean and has beautiful views. Also, the owner Randall was a pleasure to work with and has the cottage packed with everything you will need to grill, or cook inside the Cottage. The boat dock is a perfect place to take a swim and the scenery in this cove is AMAZING. If you are looking for a place to spend a week or weekend to get away, then you have found the place you are looking for. My wife and I are already planning another trip with our Parents. The Cottage can sleep up to 6 comfortably. Also, if you have your own boat then I would advise taking it with you. There is plenty of room around the dock to dock your boat as well.

Cozy little cottage that provided a good weekend getaway for my family. Just beware that there are tons of steps leading down to the house and then down to the lake. If you have someone elderly in your family or maybe a toddler, you may think twice about it. The private dock was probably the most appealing thing about the house. It is also a bit of a drive into Lago Vista if you are planning on dining out or running errands so just keep that in mind. Otherwise we loved everything about it.
