After a wonderful stay at the Starfish Cottage a few years ago, I came back with my mom for a second visit. The cottage is perfect and well-maintained -- the views from the main bedroom, kitchen, and deck can't be beat. We were greeted on our first morning by a bald eagle in the backyard and thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay. Looking forward to coming back again.

Perfect setting with ocean views complete with Bald Eagles, Seals, Whales. Walking distance to lighthouse. Despite being close to the road it was very private and quiet. Forested on both sides with large sweeping lawn behind the cottage.
The cottage beautiful, quaint and well designed. Master bedroom with large windows and sliding door to large deck. Beds comfortable. Kitchen with all the necessities. Screened porch a lovely place to curl up with one of their books or magazines (many concerning the history of the island)

The cottage for the two of us with one bathroom and a compact kitchen though there is room to sleep up to eight.
Location is perfect being very close to Head Harbor Lighthouse which we visited twice and Roosevelt Campobello International Park where we toured, had tea with Eleanor and rode our bikes on the carriage paths and trails. Of special note was mornings spent drinking coffee in the spacious screened in porch watching eagles soaring. One morning we watched as 5 eagles took turns. Very special!

Great property. Easy to find, clean, neat. Very responsive host. Melissa does a great job with housekeeping. Nice private setting. Eagles every day and a juvenile decided to perch in tree by picnic table. Majestic! Whales also observed from kitchen window. So elegant.
Internet works and is very helpful with cell calls. More than one device seems to slow any streaming with buffering. May need firmware update. Minor issues if you have kids, is could not find DVD player. Looks like integrated tv was replaced. Tech issues are really minor though.
Screened porch perfect for reading and games, relaxing.

Location location location for tranquility, serenity and solitude. The property is a gem with a million dollar view. We enjoyed some outings but for the most part we occupied ourselves relaxing on the deck and screened in porch: games , puzzles and watching for the elusive whale. The weather was excellent, between 18 and 23 degrees, a little rain but mostly sun. Wish we had time to stay longer!

What a wonderful stay! The cottage was a beautiful place to stay. My Mom and I enjoyed waving to all the boats going by and just relaxing on the deck. The beauty from the deck makes it hard to go see the rest of the island! Seeing whales, dolphins, seals and bald eagles everyday of our visit put this over the top! The sunsets were amazing too! Can not wait to go back!!

Absolutely adorable cottage in great location. 10 min drive to most things. Didnt have to leave the backyard to see whales, seals, and Eagles! Super clean, cozy, and homey feel.

Lovely views from the cottage of the ocean and the sunset. We enjoyed seeing the lobster boat come close to the shore each morning, and having our breakfast in the screened porch. We enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our Campobello Island stay! All was good and the location was GREAT!! We truly enjoyed Starfish Cottage and it was so close to Head Harbour Lightstation (East Quoddy Light). We saw eagles, Canada geese, and whales. We also visited Roosevelt’s Cottage and the tour there was fantastic. Loved the food at The Porch and picking up sea glass at Pollock Cove. Great place to stay right on the water!! Wonderful view. Excellent communication with the owner, Dennis.

Beautiful property, very comfortable cottage plus great communication with our host. Very accommodating. The whale watch boat was down, but the whales came--two sightings- from the backyard deck along with seals, osprey, eagles and loons. We walked the mile to Harbor Head Lighthouse. Restoring stay.

Starfish Cottage was a perfect location and accommodation for an August get away. The views from the cottage are stunning. The screened in porch was a great place to hang out and for meals. The Adirondack chairs overlooking the water afforded several whale sightings. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed exploring the island -- the Roosevelt Park, the beaches, the carriage trails on bike, and the gold course. Looking forward to a return.

Starfish cottage was a perfect jumping off point for many enjoyable hikes in Campobello park. The park trails are well maintained and well marked. We also found the shop keepers friendly and helpful. Just wish the weather could have been nicer so we could have enjoyed the beautiful screened porch!

Absolutely loved the cottage. View was amazing and that master bedroom is to die for. The cottage was Well stocked and had everything we needed. We will definitely come back next year.

A wonderful house. Well-maintained, well-stocked - we lacked for nothing. Very thoughtful hosts as well - lots of information in the house about the history of the island, notable residents, etc. Really appreciated.
However- not at all a reflection of the house but more the amenities on the island and this may be related to the pandemic and maybe US travel restrictions but that has to be one of the saddest grocery stores we've ever been to. Very limited choice and, again, maybe pandemic related, the island is very limited in terms of restaurants. But the people we dealt with were great.

Awesome spacious cabin with a million dollar view . 6 adults and two dogs were very comfortable and enjoyed a fantastic weekend. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a weekend away !

First of all we loved the property. The cottage is beautiful and the setting is too. However, we found some of the amenities could have been better. Before we could use the pots and pans, we had to scour them. ....they were old, thin and filthy. There were no sharp knives in the drawer so cutting veggies for supper was a real challenge. They had lots of kleenex in the cupboards but we ran out of toilet paper (only 1 1/2 small rolls). There were no paper towels ir garbage bags either. So it was a bit inconvenient but otherwise a wonderful visit to a beautiful part of our province. Would go again.

Dennis and Karen both are incredible!! The ferry was down to campobello so Dennis arranged for a local fisherman to pick us up so our trip wouldn’t be ruined. The friendliness of the folks on the island is unbelievable, and the place was BEAUTIFUL and very clean. It also has everything you would need and more. My only tip would be to make sure you know how to use a charcoal bbq!
