Our room was in the attic of a typical Scottish Highland cottage (but recently built) on the outskirts of Portree - we looked out over farmland. We were thrilled to be in more traditional accommodation. Everything was extremely well set up. The room was not overlarge but had a great bathroom, a comfy bed and an amazing little fold out table which revealed shelves with all our crockery, cutlery etc. Ingenious!!
We didnt think breakfast was included. we were pleasantly surprised! It wasnt served to us like in a B&B but ALL the possible food we could ever need for breakfast was supplied. We had a fridge in our room and outside our room was a little shared kitchen area with toaster, another fridge and microwave.
Hector, our host, was very friendly and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable.
On arriving in Portree we set out to walk to our accommodation thinking it wouldnt be far. After pulling our suitcases up two fairly steep hills on gravel 'footpaths' we were exhausted by the time we reached Tor's Place. Then we had a steep flight of stairs up to our room. Being Seniors, we found doing this each day was a bit of a struggle, even minus the cases. But once we reached our room and caught our breath we were glad we had chosen this place. After 4 days we were almost getting used to the climb and going IN to town was all downhill!

The room is exactly as described. The owner is very friendly and informative. The room is small but very efficiently organised. The table, dishes and cutlery appear out of nowhere - well designed foldable table. Breakfast items provided too. If we ever come back we would stay here again

we were lucky to have portree as our starting point for our Skye vacation. Parking space was good.
We could also sit outside in the small garden.
The room was really tiny and under the roof it was VERY warm.
We had to make our own breakfast on a tiny table within our bedroom.

We were greeted on arrival by our host, given all necessary information in regards to our stay. Very happy with our room, it was small but practical and had everything we needed including an ensuite. The room was lovely and bright with plenty of ventilation. Breakfast items, tea, coffee, biscuits, bread, meats and yoghurt all supplied. Car parking was provided and it was a 15 minute walk into Portree. Location was really good. Definitely recommend. Lovely hosts.

The property is close to downtown and also an easy drive to get to different parts of the Isle of Skye. The host was the nicest I’ve ever met!

The location was perfect for us, and even though we didn't request breakfast there was a large continental selection available daily. The host Hector was lovely and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely and warm. Great value.
The room was a little small but was fine for us as we were out all day from morning until night and just needed somewhere comfortable to sleep, shower and store our belongings.

What a great place to explore Skye from and come back to at the end of a long day! Perfect location, only 10min walk to local pubs and shops. The host was super friendly and welcoming, made us feel right at home. The room has clever features making our stay extra comfortable, like a mini fridge in the room and the little folding table to have breakfast on, which was kindly provided and very much appreciated! Thank you so much for everything, we had the best time and are hoping to come back soon!

Fantastic location - we were only a short stroll down to the town centre. The room was very comfortable and clean. We would recommend this accommodation to other holiday makers!

The service was exceptional and the room has been setup so well that everything you could possibly need is there. We had not booked breakfast with our stay but they provided a great spread anyway. Also, Hector was helpful and a pleasure to speak to Hector.
The room and the bathroom were a little small. But the only real actionable suggestion is that the bathroom could use one more shelf. Otherwise everything was great.

Excellent place to stay if you're looking for a base to explore Skye from. The owners were super helpful and even supply a pantry and fridge for breakfast. Service was above and beyond as after 2,5 hours of driving, they alerted us we forgot a bag and offered to meet us halfway so we wouldn't have to go back again. 10 stars!

Although the room was small as stated it was very well planned out. It had everything you could need, small refrigerator, dishes, toiletries. Size was fine for us since we were gone all day and litterely only showered, slept and had breakfast in the room. Bed was very comfortable, room temperature was perfect. There were a LOT of options left outside of the room for breakfast in addition to the items left in the refrigerator.
Could have used one extra little shelf in the bathroom.

Super comfortable. Great location. Enjoyed the ample self catered breakfast as well as a friendly host. Was an en-suite room upstairs in the home but totally private with on-site parking. Would stay again and highly recommend it.

Julie was friendly and checked in now and then. Fresh juice every morning. The bed was just brilliant, I loved it. I had an amazing time on Skye. It was a bit out of the center (just a short walk though) and there was a lot of space for parking. Will definitely stay here again.

Place Everything was spot on, very comfortable bed, fridge full of all various cheese and meats, fresh fruits, snacks and fresh milk and juice. Room was very cosy, cable and Internet to enjoy in the evening after visiting places. Thank you for your warm welcoming and the good laughs and we are totally recommend to stay at this place 😊

Lovely room in a good location, close to the centre of Portree. As we booked only the room, we were surprised that we got breakfast from the hosts (porridge, ham, cheese, yoghurt...). Definitely recommend for a stay at Skye.

We had an awesome stay at Tors Place. The host was very friendly and had a great sense of humour. The accommodation not only offered a comfortable and clean room with a good view on the surrounding mountains, but also a wide range food and drinks for breakfast (milk, Juice, coffee, Cheese, ham, fruits and much more), books about the isle of skye, and an exclusive parking space. The house is perfectly located within a short walking distance from the town centre. We would definitely stay at Tors Place again!

warm welcome. very comfortable bed. generous sandwich options, mueslis, multiple tea / coffee options, fresh milk and orange juice. fridges toaster microwave. lovely shower and Scottish soaps. well planned use of the room space in a quiet residential setting.
the plumbing was badly installed (the taps turn on inwards and weren’t fixed). the small basin leaked underneath, splashed on the bin top and made a puddle on the floor (we removed the bin lid). the bathroom door has never had the frame cut into to accommodate the door latch (no latch plate) so the door blows open - although getting tradesmen out is often a problem in remote places. we were invited to leave doors unlocked but found out on leaving a second room was rented out (and hence they also shared the food on the landing): I’m not sure our insurance would pay out in the event of a claim although of course we’d 100% trust the locals. there was an inviting egg cooker but no instructions for anything. the room is mostly filled with the bed but we knew space was limited
