Our hosts were absolutely wonderful, as was their fabulous house. A perfect , quiet location only a very short walk into the centre. We really did feel very welcome. It was actually a joy to stay with James and Barbara.

Lovely quiet place, couple that owned it were great providing a history of the building and couldn’t have done more to help. Breakfast was great and I managed to get a lot of work done during my stay.

The hosts of the Bed & Breakfast were absolutely friendly and helpful; always thinking ahead with an eye for the details and very accomodating. The breakfast was especially great! There were different types of bread/toast, a selection of croissants/sweet pastries, cheeses, cold cuts, different yoghurts, porridge, muesli/cornflakes, juices, milk, coffee etc. and lots of fruit. We got the impression that a lot of thought was put into hygiene, i.e. keeping everything fresh.
The room we lived in had nice furnishing that reminded us of “the olden days“, great atmosphere for a stay in a town with a lot of history. It was clean and had an extra radiator in case we got cold.
The indoor plumbing of the water (for example when we took shower) was a bit loud, but not majorly disturbing.

the bedroom was fantastic, big four poster bed, large room, even had a small fridge that came in very handy
apart from the the lovely room, the hosts were exceptional and friendly, greeted me with a warm welcome and couldn’t do enough for me

Very good location close to the cathedral and town centre. Quirky 16th century building in very good condition and lots of character.. Barbara and James were extremely friendly and did their very best to be helpful. Breakfast was a continental style breakfast with meats, cheeses, toast, preserves and also pastries available although we didn't have them as trying not to put too much weight on!
Would have preferred a larger bed, as our bed at home is quite big. Not really a problem though

The location is perfect. Quiet and yet close to places of interest. Breakfast is plentiful with a good selection of fruits and choices. James and Barbara made us very welcome.

Easily the best bed and breakfast experience of both of our lives. We cannot recommend this property and wonderful owners enough. The most stunning property in the most beautiful place. All within walking distance. The owners were so welcoming, friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was divine. The most perfect start to the day being handed the most delicious freshly baked pastries at breakfast with an array of continental food choice to choose from.

The breakfast provided was lovely - a variety of cold meats, cheeses, cereals, fresh fruit and pastries. The parking was right outside the property, on a private road. Our hosts, Barbara and James were very helpful and welcoming. Our room was full of character, comfortable and with everything on tap to make a relaxing break for us.

Beautiful house in a beautiful City. Fantastic helpful hosts. Lovely accommodation where nothing is too much trouble, Barbara And James have thought of everything. 10 minutes walk to all that Bury has to offer. Would highly recommend we loved our stay

Friendly and interesting owners, great location near the town centre, good choice for breakfast. Hosts accomodated our early morning departures at 06:30 and still provided some breakfast. Great biscuit selection in room and coffee facilites. Nice spacious bathroom. Historic and charming building in quiet location.
Nothing major that we disliked really. If I had to pick something room space to store luggage is at a premium but that is a common situation with B&B's and indeed many hotels.

We loved the friendliness of the hosts who very extremely helpful. We loved the 4 poster bed and the comfy chairs in our room. We loved the breakfast and the fridge in our room which was all well stocked. The location was superb and very easy to get to the town centre. It was quiet too.
The breakfast was great for a continental one but it could have been even better if a cooked option was also on offer.
There was no key for our actual room so we needed to be careful about security with our laptops etc.
