This was my third time staying at Sunrise and second time in #18. Everything is always clean and comfortable. Management is always beyond helpful with anything we may need. Did have one issue with the central air unit stopped draining and ended up with some water on the floor. One call to Gustavo and maintenance was there in less than an hour. Thank you to everyone who always makes us feel welcome and our stay at Sunrise comfortable.

To start, you won’t find a better location for the price. The complex is across the street from the beach right in Tamarindo. It’s spacious with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is great for a family. Our direct contact while in Tamarindo was Gustav (I hope I’m remembering his name correctly!) He was extremely responsive to any issues or questions we had throughout our stay. They complex itself is nice with a pool that my kids enjoyed. 😊 There are several things that need to be tweaked. The toilet in both bathrooms clogged several times. There’s a plunger right next to the toilet, so I’m assuming it’s an ongoing issue. We finally figured out that if we flush several times while using the toilet, it seemed ok, but otherwise it clogged. The condo provides a very limited number of bath towels, which are pretty hard and scratchy. The washing machine and dryer were a huge win because I had to do laundry several times during the stay in order to have fresh towels. I think more toilet paper should be provided as well. We went out and bought a big package of it, but what was supplied was very little. Sleep wise, the queen mattress was really hard and killed my husband’s back, and there were a very limited amount of pillows on the bed, which wasn’t great for several members of my family. The pillows and bath towels really need to be replaced with better quality items. The condo itself is kind of old, and I could not shake the feeling that the bathrooms weren’t very clean. If these things are fixed, I think the condo would definitely be a five star option. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay in Tamarindo!

We loved the apartment so much we extended our stay again and again. The furniture is a little outdated but it is very convenient, well maintained and clean. The local agent Rigu is super nice and helpful. Will definitely come back!

We loved our stay! It met all our needs for the week. Close to beach,restaurants, shopping, grocery stores. We would have liked a few larger bowls in the kitchen and a few beer mugs but those were minor details. Would be back again in a heart beat. Miss being there already!!

Great Location

Have stayed at Sunrise 4 times. Enjoy closeness to beach, groceries and restaurants. Feel Tamarindo is a safe place. Our unit was a little tired looking on the inside and outdoor bbq was sketchy..

We had a wonderful time while we were in Sunrise 18. The monkeys were around the hotel several mornings and even by the pool once. The pool was beautiful. The queen bed was a little uncomfortable and quite noisy but that’s the only negative.

Great Location

Great location to beach and restaurants.

The accommodations were as listed. Beautiful and clean. Very convenient and close to everything in Tamarindo. Our friends were all at the Diria and restaurant, shops and beach all within easy access. small details were not too many bowls to make salads but all in all very good. Our contact was easy to reach when we needed anything.

We loved our stay! It met all our needs for the week. Close to beach,restaurants, shopping, grocery stores. We would have liked a few larger bowls in the kitchen and a few beer mugs but those were minor details. Would be back again in a heart beat. Miss being there already!!

We really enjoyed our time at Sunrise condos. It’s the perfect location to the beach and the town, but still very quiet. Easily walkable to all locations in tamarindo! The pool area and communal areas are well maintained. The condo has plenty of space, provides all of the necessities, and has a lovely view. The security guards were also very friendly. I would highly recommended to others, and would stay here again.

The condo is in a fantastic location with very easy access to the beach, restaurants and shops. The property, in general, is beautiful and has excellent security. The property managers were very friendly, communicated well and worked hard to make everything go smoothly. Unfortunately for them, the unit needs work. As for the unit...the layout and rooms were fine, but it's the bare essentials. The furniture is old and worn and there was damage to the walls throughout. The kitchen was our least favorite area. There are hardly any glass (we bought wine glasses for our stay and then donated them to the unit), and the frying pans were terrible. We rent from Homeaway numerous times each year and this was the first time a kitchen didn't have coffee filters, and other basics like seasoning, oils, sugar, etc. The lighting in the master bedroom is inferior - lacks lamps with decent wattage on desk & dresser. Difficulty finding a place to read. Also, blinds were broken (couldn't raise​ them to look out) and they also do not block light if you wanted to sleep in. That's why we rate the condo unit itself was fair.

This is a beautiful condo right in the middle of all of the action in Tamarindo! The beach, shops & amazing restaurants are all right there in walking distance...no need for a car! Take surf lessons from Elias of S.A.L.T. (Surf as life therapy) and have Gustavo (condo concierge) arrange your activities for you. Gustavo is wonderful! The condo is very spacious, clean and has a great view. We loved it!

Sunrise 18 was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. But most importantly it was centrally located to everything we wanted to do in Tamarindo. Just steps away from the beach, shops, and food. Communication with property management was excellent. Highly recommended!

Apt is a bit dated with furniture and a old bulky tv in kids bedroom but part from this the location is great. Nearby all restaurants and across the street from the beach. I’ve stayed at the Sunrise condos many times before and it has always been great. There are no wine glasses (only for champagne) nor soda glasses, kitchen knifes so this I would recommend to implement for the next visit. Admin was amazing ... best checkin ever. Gustavo Whatsapp me with instructions and there was no need to go the office which I’m use to. Extraordinary service!!! Made it all so smooth and he was very helpful. I accidentally reserved for 2 people instead of 3 and this was also ok and confirmed by management. Part from furniture and some dated facilities it’s was one of the best visits to Tamarindo. I highly recommended this place

Great place to stay in Tamarindo if you have a big family and want to be as comfortable as home. TVs need to be updated I would suggest.

Condo was great and comfortable. Location was great, restaurants were walking distance, the beach right across the street, groceries next door~
Pool was beautiful and clean.

We had a lovely vacation at "La Dura Vida" in Tamarindo. The condo complex was right in the middle of town - within walking distance to dozens of restaurants (both low key and gourmet), shops, and directly across the street from the Beach. The complex was safe, quiet (except the occasional howler monkey!), well maintained, and easy to access. The pool was especially nice. The condo had everything you would need - including a great covered porch where you could see the sunset. We mostly ate out, but the kitchen was well stocked, and the laundry facilities allowed us to pack light. Tamarindo generally had wonderful customer service, easy access to activities, and a great beach with divine sunsets. We also went to Playa Grande for the day via water taxi. The food was delicious in Tamarindo!!!!

Place is awesome but Gustavo and his team more so. They were incredibly helpful and accommodating.
