The view was amazing. We had coffee every morning on the lanai and it was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed.

Holly, the property manager’s attention to detail is the best of any vacation rental we have ever stayed. The property was clean, and the overall decor and comfort of the unit was excellent. The views from the balcony are amazing and the sunsets second to none. We enjoyed eating our meals outside to take in the view while often being entertained by the performing humpbacks at sea. I highly recommend this property.

We would absolutely stay here again! The bed was ridiculously comfortable to a point of wanting to know what it is so I can buy one for myself. Everything we needed and then some was available to us-snorkel, boogie board, umbrella, chairs. The aesthetics of the condo with the disappearing doors and warm wood was super cool. The layout of the condo was perfect and just the perfect amount of space. The sunset views were gorgeous and the best place to be each evening. Host was super responsive and helpful as well! Fantastic place, highly recommend!

We went to Hawaii to celebrate our birthdays. We stayed in this condo 9 yrs ago and we loved it because of the location and amenities. The beach is steps away. We spent every morning and evening on the lanai enjoying the view and relaxing sound of the waves.

Holly is a terrific host. She communicated with me before our stay as we made plans for activities and dining. The pandemic sabotaged our long-awaited retirement dreams of sailing and snorkeling in as many oceans as possible, so this was our first adventure in four years. We were thrilled with the condo. For health reasons, we elected to have breakfasts and dinners in the condo, and enjoy open air lunches in local beach bars and restaurants. The kitchen is beautifully equipped, the bed comfy, and the location incomparable. We spent most of our time on the lanai, wandering through the tide pools, and watching the resident turtles munch moss from the lava at low tide. I am a watercolorist and had a great time capturing the essence of the area in the mornings, afternoons and at sunset. The only note I might make is that the sofa in the living room isn’t particularly comfortable for lounging on together while we watched the news of the Lahaina fires, but he lanai chairs and table we were so comfy, it didn’t matter most of the time. Don’t miss Da Poke Shack, which is on the premises. Buttery, exquisitely fresh fish and delicious sides. My favorite meals at home were this, with fresh, juicy pineapple, papaya, and dragon fruit for dessert. We hope to return soon. Don’t miss the nighttime Manta Ray Snorkel. .

The entire experience was amazing! The right place, the right level of comfort, perfect amenities, location is excellent, and being on the fourth floor was super quiet and peaceful next to the ocean. If I was being super critical the only thing would be we could not thank Holly in the guest book because it was FULL of positive reviews and thank you notes. We will book this again and recommend to all of our friends and family.

This was a dream come true experience to stay so close to the ocean. The condo was so tricky furnished and supplied with everything we needed from the luxurious kitchen to the many thoughtful beach equipment supplies to make everything so romantic and memorable.
This was the perfect place to stay. We will definitely want to stay in this unit again when we return. Mahalo

Second time staying in Kona Bali Kai. Love this complex. Covered parking, elevator, pool with plenty of chairs. This condo ia different being all wood, very well kept. Perfect view from them Lanai to watch the surfers and see turtles. AC and fans help alot in the summer heat of the day.

Wonderful property! Second time staying here. Will definitely be back. Close enough to Kona, but far enough away to be quiet. Comfy firm bed and two very comfy chairs on balcony. Highly recommend!

This is our 3rd time staying here, and it never disappoints! There is absolutely everything you need to be very comfortable, from plenty of beach towels to beautiful champagne glasses! Everything is super clean, well-kept, and Holly is wonderfully responsive. As always, we will be back!

Wow! I could keep adding "wows!" First of all, walking into the condo you knew it was going to be special. Cleanliness, total care to furnishings, and then there is the view. All day, all night, what a view. We were there for a full moon, and the view of the moon over the water, looking out the wall of windows over the ocean, through the palm trees, was spectacular.
Going back to the furnishings, the bed was extremely comfortable. Best bed of all the places we stayed during this trip which included the Ritz Carlton on Maui.
Great location, easy access to downtown Kona, twenty minutes to the airport. Easy access to anywhere on the Big Island.

After island hopping for the first 10 days of our vacation, we were looking to relax and wind down. We wanted a place that was quiet, comfortable, well-kept up, convenient to shops/restaurants/etc., and close to the water. What we found here exceeded our plans/expectations. While the condo is in a larger development which shows some signs of aging, this condo is nicely refinished/updated and has a wonderful, well-stocked kitchen. The bed is super comfortable. The unit has air conditioning, which is a big plus. Updated laundry in the unit as well. The best part is the view, you walk out on your private patio to the ocean that is quite literally a stones throw away. You look west at the sunset, setting on the water behind the silhouette of a few palm trees. Directly below you is an amazing tide pool that fills with tropical fish from the high tide. Holly did a great job of getting us all the information we needed, was available via phone when we had a question, and made the whole experience as simple and easy as possible. We loved it... so much so that we are thinking of spending a week here each year.

The condominium was just lovey. It was decorated beautifully. The oceanfront view off the balcony was spectacular. Each night the sunset was colorful and bright. Because the condominium had walls of windows, you could also enjoy the sunset from the master bedroom and family room areas as well.
The condo was furnished with every conceivable item you may need to make your stay perfect. It was a home away from home . We had a wonderful experience staying there. Holly managed to think of everything large and small ! We highly recommend this property. I know we will be coming back in the future!!

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo is well appointed with amenities of high quality.
The only thing we wished for were stools to climb up onto the bed. It wasn't until towards the end of our stay that we noticed a step stool in the bathroom closet. In spite of our diminutive stature, we managed to meet the challenge of the high climb. The comfortable bed was worth the effort. And so was the view when waking up!

The unit is nicely appointed and very well equipped with everything you need for your stay. The location is great for a home base while exploring the island. The real draw is the view which has an unobstructed view of the ocean with a surf break where you can catch some surfers in action. The sunsets are amazing. You will find yourself spending time on the lanai with no need to go anywhere else.

I have stayed at a lot of VRBOs in Kona..this one tops the list..the condo was so well equipped even with a little step ladder for us short people to use to climb up in to the bed..Just when we thought we discovered something Holly didn't have..nope..we found it...the view.. unbeatable..and what is really great are the roller blinds on the lanai that allow you to take advantage of the comfy furniture even while the sun is going down.. we tried to book again but dates are going fast!!

I have vacationed in Kona countless times and this is certainly the most beautiful and luxurious apartment I have ever stayed in. Classy wood environment, quality furniture, very nice, spacious and fully equipped kitchen, except for the colander, which as an Italian lover of pasta I could not fail to notice. The presence of a powerful and silent air conditioner is very welcome even if its use was not essential during the night with the window open. The ocean view was breathtaking from both the living room and bedroom. Very large lanai, also with solid and quality wood furnishings.
The only small note, which however does not affect the excellent global opinion, is the absence of a beach umbrella among the available accessories and the low quality of the beach chairs. Highly recommended for those looking for an apartment of above average quality.

Great place to stay. Good location slightly south of all the tourist traffic in Kailua. Interesting tide pools right there. Very quiet. All in all very nice.

I would give Holly more than 5 stars if that would be possible: Every time I needed advice she responded IMMEDIATELY with her know how, patience and total support. I had looked at almost every rental on the Island and this is and will be my most favorite: classy decor, right by the ocean, falling asleep and waking up with ocean waves...

This was a top notch / top floor location.
We enjoyed watching the surfers and the sunsets. We ate breakfast on the balcony and enjoyed the kitchen convenience. We made use of the laundry washer and dryer in the room also. I even borrowed the boogie board for a day.

Honeymoon in Hawaii
While I haven’t stayed in many VRBO’s before, this condo was well stocked with lots of beach toys that we used, from 2 snorkeling kits, chairs, sun hats, and sunscreen. Holly is super sweet. We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon and my now mother in law was in contact with Holly who was sweet enough to have the fridge stocked with fresh fruit, wine, chocolates, and cheese and crackers. So thoughtful! Check out was super easy as well. Whenever I reached out with questions she responded immediately!

Wonderful place!
We stayed for 3 nights and it couldn’t have been better! The view from the balcony was even better than the pictures and we could’ve sat on the balcony all day and night. It’s very peaceful yet close to everything. Anything you could need or want is provided for you! Beautiful condo, so glad we could stay there!

I cannot say enough great things about this place. Holly was always quick to respond and extremely helpful. The condo and especially the view were better than the photos. Also impressive were those amenities that are often overlooked like the extensive selection of spices and the pair of binoculars. You could easily spend all your time just hanging out on the lanai taking in the view and listening to the ocean. We were blessed to have lovely sunsets each night and one night had a full moon in a clear sky where the view was a fantastic stream of silver light on the water all the way to the horizon. The location of the condo is fantastic, close to central Kona, grocery stores and coffee and cacao farms. Your only question should be for which dates you'll book this place.

This was an ideal base for exploring Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park, and the cabin is very clean, comfortable and quiet (well, except for the coqui frogs). It has a very secluded, getaway from it all feeling in the forest, although the immediate surroundings don’t offer much to do. The cabin is small but was ideal for a solo traveler and would be for couples too. I appreciated Holly’s special touches including the goodies she left and the music that was playing, which I left on for hours. Highly recommended.
