Was within walking distance of restaurants and the fireworks on the 4th. House is as described. Traffic was crazy busy because of the 4th, so glad we didnt have to drive to town.

Absolutely lovely property and the host was warm, communicative, and accommodating. I wanted to show my partner from the Northeast some of 'Old Florida' and was seeking that in our place to stay. With the gorgeous, shaded backyard and marsh view, this was exactly it. People not from the area may not realize that the osprey nests in the water aren't just provided, but the owner has to pay to have one built. There was an osprey nest right off the dock and we spent evenings watching the mama osprey take care of her babies and it was the perfect touch. You can really tell Rosemary has her guests' experiences in mind in how she has arranged this home. If you are looking for modern, sleek, bustling accommodations, then this house (and frankly, Cedar Key), isn't the right match for you. If you are looking to spend peaceful time in nature and take it slow, in a comfortable and cozy home with stunning wildlife, then this is for you. Thank you so much, Rosemary! I will certainly be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bonaire Cottage. The property was clean and very well stocked. The beds were also very comfortable. The location was perfect for a quick ride or stroll into town, or for a drive to one of the many walking trails or kayak spots. You are right on the bayou. We saw many types of birds, and enjoyed watching the nesting osprey right in front of the house. Do bring bug spray! The people of Cedar Key are extremely friendly and welcoming. We loved the small quiet feel of the town and enjoyed some excellent seafood. We will return.

Really enjoyed the cottage, clean well stocked. You really feel like you’ve stepped back in time. A LOVELY TIME😊. The premiere host was AWSOME from the booking to the end of stay. Any questions she answered very quickly.

Great little vintage cottage with incredibly beautiful waterfront activity! If you want fancy and new, this is not it. If you want a comfortable place to call home while away, and amazing bird activity from the dock, this is it.

The cottage was exactly as pictured. The location perfect! The back porch offers a spectacular view and hours of serenity. Would definitely stay again!

I did a lot of research before choosing this property and it sounded like it was exactly what I was looking for. Turned out to be even better than I thought. Cozy and comfortable. Well supplied kitchen. Comfy beds. Convenient to town. Best part for us though was sitting in the sun on the dock watching the tides and the birds, including the ospreys nesting on the platform in front of the dock. Just amazing. We had a hard time leaving this place behind. Hope to be back one day and will recommend it to all who ask!

We loved the little house. It was so cozy and homey. We roasted oysters on the grill bought from the local fish market and loved sitting by the fire. Just a short-short drive to the waterfront. We even fished off the dock. Communication with the owner was the best we have ever had when renting a VRBO. Will definitely stay here again.

I loved this cottage ! It is SO Cedar Key! The backyard and porch is heaven on earth. I could barely wait to wake up, grab my coffee and head to the porch swing every morning. The salt marsh is gorgeous and so many birds visited me. I had a campfire at night. The inside of the cottage was immaculate, cozy and I felt right at home. Bed was very comfy. I loved it here so much I made a reservation to return in a few weeks!

Was a last minute booking for a three night stay to visit our brother who lives in the area. The cottage had everything we needed for a nice, short vacation. It was nice having the marina across the street to get bait for fishing and a boat rental for the day. Love the quaint town of Cedar Key! Enjoyed playing with the porpoises from the boat we rented and exploring one of the keys.

Great little place to stay right on the water of Cedar Key. Lots of wildlife to enjoy right from the back porch. Osprey eating their catch right on the private dock out back. Backyard firepit came in handy for the cold Christmas weather. And going through the reservation process with Rosemary is guaranteed to get your trip started off on the right foot. Very pleasant and awesome to deal with. Property is right across from a marina for bait/supplies or very short drive into downtown. I would most definitely stay here again. Thank you again for everything Rosemary!

My husband and I enjoyed our 47th wedding anniversary here! It was wonderful! I said you know its a good vacation when you don’t want to go home. Thank you for easy and quick checkin. We spent. most of our time on the back porch watching birds! The sunrise was amazing!

The home was clean and prepared for guests with plenty of towels, wash cloths and other supplies; it was well stocked. There was coffee and creamer, briquets for the grill and charcoal lighter. The bed was comfortable, I will assume that my daughter's room was comfortable too as she slept to 1000 or so.
Rosemary Cooke was pleasant as always and communicated well. There were no issues during our stay and check-in and out was easy. Emptied the trash from inside the kitchen, piled the towels in the bathroom and stripped the sheets off the bed. Washed the dishes in the sink and cleaned out the fridge. Easy!
We have stayed here before and will stay here again. The house has a dock, but the water level is low, so when you are fishing you usually catch the bottom dwellers, i.e. catfish and crabs! It's fun though and you can rent fishing tackle from the Marina across the street.
All in all, a great weekend! Thank you Rosemary!

Perfect in every way! The cottage is comfortable and cozy and loaded with old Florida charm. We felt right at home the minute we walked in. Beds are very comfortable and most every item you need is there. View and wildlife fabulous and location is great. We had so much fun, never even turned on the T.V. Spent majority of our time on the back porch. Rosemary, the owner made us feel right at home. Not much traffic or tourist in Cedar Key which is just exactly what we wanted. Looking for a relaxing vacay this is the perfect spot. Highly recommend renting this cute cottage!! We will be back next year for sure. Thank you Rosemary, we had the best time!

The property was just as I expected. I spent most of my time on the back porch looking out at the water and watching the birds. It afforded me the opportunity to "download" for a busy schedule and find answers to thought questions. When I go back to the location, this property will be on my list of must stay.

It was clean, comforting, and Tidy! we were amazed at the fact that the house was completely stocked with every you could possibly need, Right down to charcoal for the grill, It was amazing! Just PERFECT!

Perfect quiet getaway for the weekend.
This house is so cute and has a lot of charm. The property manager, Rosemary was very helpful and accommodating. The house was stocked with everything we needed and the location was convenient. I would love to return for another visit!
Rosemary had some on hand but bring bug spray! The bayou is full of no-see-ums.

40th anniversary vacation
We really enjoyed our time in this lovely rental. It had a relaxing, comforting feel with all the conveniences we had hoped for. When the tide was high, we caught some fish and a stingray from the new dock. We saw a variety of interesting birds and there were osprey nesting in a tree next door. The house is located directly across the street from a shop that sold bait and rented fishing tackle at a good price. We spent most of our time on the main pier and trying out the restaurants on Dock Street and this cottage provided a great place to hang out and rest. Rosemary checked in with us often to make sure all was well. Overall, we highly recommend.

My husband and I had such a nice time in Cedar Key. We parked the car and walked and biked everywhere. The house was in a great location. Love the color and history of the house. It was a very comfortable stay. The new dock was very nice. It is so pretty on the water. I highly recommend!
