Great cottage with everything you could possibly need. Enjoyed our stay and the porch and deck along the water was so relaxing to sit and have our morning coffee. Why stay in a hotel when you can have a whole place to yourself with great views and it’s cheaper!

Our third stay in this beautiful property. So full of character, such wonderful hosts. If our trip has to finish, this is the best way to do it. Last morning spent kayaking to the spring to see manatees. Heaven

Cow Creek Cottage is a wonderful little hideaway that is a stone’s throw away from just about every modern shopping convenience. Comfortable and cozy, the Cottage is fully stocked, every drawer and cabinet brimming. Two large tvs provide excellent viewing. Watch the sun set or drop a fish line off the dock at the back door. A full complement of fishing rods and tackle are available in the rear carport. I caught and released five different kinds of fish and some blue claw crabs. I did save one jumbo crab for dinner. My constant companion was a stately blue heron who watched my every move.
The Creek is alive with activity… fish splashing, ducks quacking, birds yakking. Occasionally a dolphin glides by. Kayaks at hand for exploring the nearby waters.
The hosts, Chuck and Jarry, live next door and were instantaneously available and responsive.
Overall, a very relaxing, satisfying week.

This little cottage has just about anything you'd need at home. There was much thought into a lot of household items.
It was too warm to sit outside for any length of time but such a sweet little view of the Cow Creek canal. Wished we could have seen other than the few ducks too but didn't stay out long enough to try to catch a glimpse as we were busy with wedding activities.
We did not have a chance to meet Chuck; however, Miss Jarry was very nice and gave great recommendations on area restaurants, local Hudson beach area just two blocks away to watch their beautiful sunsets, near ice cream shop and close bait shack should you be able to take advantage of using supplied fishing poles and tackle.
Easy to get to and from. Nice little spot.
Thankful to have such a pleasant host!

The best equipped rental ever! The attention to detail was apparent throughout the cottage right down to the charming decor. Family issues cut my stay short, but i hope to remedy that on my next visit..Also super clean !!

My husband and I stayed at the cottage for 4 nights and we couldn’t be more happier. The cottage was nice and clean, checking in was easy. The bed and the rest of the furnishings were comfortable. The dock was nice and big with the beautiful view of the canal with an old Florida feel. We saw 3 manatees 😁 and lots of wildlife. We had a pleasure to meet with Chuck the owner, he’s so nice and very informative. Thank you so much. We’re enjoying our stay.

Great location and house. Chuck and Jerry were so nice and informative. Didn't see any Manatees but I think that was our fault for running around to all the local beaches. But we did see a dolphin right off the back deck!

This is our second time renting from Charles at this location. We really enjoy the downtime and are able to just relax. The owners are very nice, friendly and cordial. We wouldn't have come back a second time if it just wasn't a great get away for us. I'm sure we will be back again.

Great cottage - spacious and comfortable - fully functional kitchen. Relaxing backyard overlooking the water - covered porch - dock - grill - fishing equipment - kayaks and canoes. Everything you can possibly imagine is available. Took kayaks out and saw a manatee with her calf. Enjoyed beautiful sunsets. Close to Tarpon Springs to learn about the Greek culture and the sponging industry. Charles and Jarry were responsive and provided a wealth of information about the area. A stay at this cottage is a must!!

We came to Florida to visit family in New Port Richey for Christmas. So glad we found Sea Cow Cottage. Cute little house and the setting is just wonderful. We so enjoyed sitting watching the birds and saw a couple of manatees. We managed to be there for the coldest Christmases in Florida for years but nevertheless had a wonderful and relaxing time. Chuck and Jarry were so nice and helpful. They even helped me get in and out of the kayak. I have been wanting to try kayaking for a while but always chicken out. With their help I finally tried it and just loved it. I see a new hobby in my future. I enjoyed the area too. We have stayed in New Port Richey the last couple of times but found the Hudson beach area more quaint and to our taste. Hope to visit again soon.

This is not an upscale swanky location, but if you are looking for comfortable, quiet, right on the water, calm and peaceful, then this your place! Everything was just as pictured and described and my husband and I had the most relaxing vacation we've ever had. We even had a manatee and some dolphins stop by to say hello, not to mention squirrels, ducks, egrets and fish. Jarry and Charles were available for any questions and to just say hi. Well worth the money.

I really like this place but I don't recommend going during hurricane season. Seems all the bottled water gets bought up early and many of the beaches close a few days before a hurricane is due so they can put in protective measures. So, yeah, if going to the beach is a big part of your trip either book at the last minute to make sure no major storms are due or book for a different time of year.
With that said, I really liked the cottage and being able to hang out on the dock or back porch.

This place is a great place to relax and enjoy the water and scenery. Had a week of peace and quiet. Spent a lot of time sitting on the porch reading and watching the birds. Also, enjoyed Homosassa Springs national park, which was 30 miles away. Claudia and Cal

Jerry is sweet as can be and made sure we were good. She came over to tell us when the manatees went through right as we were leaving and told us to take the kayaks out to see them before we left. We will definitely go back.

We were looking for a quiet place to unwind. This small cottage was nicely decorated, and well maintained. We enjoyed sitting on the floating dock watching the tide and the wildlife . It felt somewhat secluded, but we were still pretty close to restaurants and bars.
