We keep coming back to this little oasis for our getaway from the city life and everytime Candy and Don treat us like long time friends. Clean, quiet and relaxing. Love our stays at "It's A Shore Thing"

The house was lovely--beautifully decorated with everything we could need! The front yard was a gorgeous, shaded, private area to relax. And the hosts were the kindest people you could meet! They were very caring, helpful, and all-around delightful! We would definitely return and recommend this place to others.

It was an amazing stay. Don and Candy are great hosts. You become instant friends with them as soon as you meet them. Sitting out on the patio in the morning and evenings were very special. Staying at "It's a shore thing" was like coming home. The unit is stocked with everthing you need on your stay. Just bring yourself, your significant other and your food and you are good. Make sure you ask them to tell you the Bronco story.

It is a charming mountain cabin in a quiet, rural neighborhood. The owners greeted us & showed us how everything worked. They were available at any time needed during our stay. The home had every necessity & the hosts provided a bottle of wine & popcorn to go with their extensive DVD collection.
It was close to downtown Payson & only about 8 miles to Pine & 10 from Strawberry. Excellent stay & highly reccommend it for a restful stay in a lovely setting.

We were very pleased with this little get away and would not have changed a thing. Sweet romantic get away for two and the owners are wonderful. As an introvert I avoids new people at all costs, but these owners make you feel like you have known them a lifetime and know exactly the amount of privacy people need…They are on point for hospitality!!! We highly recommend.

This cozy little cottage was the perfect place for me to escape for a long weekend. Candy & Don have thought of everything you
may need! Right down to the bottle of wine, breakfast muffins & popcorn for movie-watching. You have your own patio with a gas grill & fire table, perfect for sitting out with a glass of wine & watching the leaves fall. The bed is comfy & they have a well-stocked DVD library right at hand. The neighborhood is a bit off the beaten path & is very quiet, but just a short drive from Payson. I almost don’t want to say too much because I want to keep it for myself!

Wonderful get away
Love, Love this cozy cottage “ A Shore Thing” you can’t go wrong with this choice! Quiet, peaceful, clean, everything you need in the kitchen. Lovely owners always willing to help you make the most of you stay. This was our 3rd time staying there and were coming back in August. Perfect place to get out of the heat of the Phoenix valley! A wonderful VRBO with everything one needs as well as wonderful owners along with Parker the dog who made our stay one of best at our 77+ years old. We hope to be back soon to enjoy many more evenings together.

We had a wonderful time at “A ShoreThing” the weather was awesome rained a little and it was much cooler temperatures than the valley where we live., it was a treat to stay there. The cottage is cozy, comfortable and beautiful outside in the yard, the owners are warm and friendly you cant help to just love them! It was a beautiful time! Looking forward to going again soon!

A Shore Thing is a delightful, intimate cottage just right for two people. The details have been very thoughtfully and tastefully designed and coordinated, and everything there has a story. You will want to spend time there, as the yard and cottage are really inviting, comfortable, and fun. Don and Candy are fabulous hosts. They are personable, knowledgable about the area, and straight-up great people. This place is a real treasure!

More Than Expected
A Shore Thing was absolutely wonderful! Everything you could possibly need is available. The nearby views and sites are a must. We enjoyed coming back to the cottage and relaxing in the beautiful outdoor space! Looking forward to our next stay! Don and Candy are exceptional hosts!!

The cottage was well laid out and roomy with so many cute touches and accents. It was clean comfortable and cozy. It was also located in a quiet, small neighborhood surrounded by beauty out of the town of Payson by about 5 minutes. It is an awesome VRBO. We had a peaceful and relaxing visit. If we are back in the area in the future we will surely look for Don and Candy's VRBO in which to stay again.

Incredible place, Incredible hosts
I have stayed at A LOT of vrbos and i could absolutely tell you no one has ever been as accommodating and kind as don and candy. They have the house set up so cute and they hide goodies all throughout for guests to find and enjoy. They give great recommendations and also understand that you are there to getaway from the world and will not bother you unless you want someone to swap stories with. Fantastic place warm and comfy

We will be back. I wish we would of had time to use the patio area but we got tied up with friends and shopping we ran out of time. We are early to bed people. Property was very clean.

We almost got stuck in the property due to rain over the the river but it subsided in a couple hours and we were able to continue our house hunt. We hope to go back and find our retirement home soon

This was a Beautiful Cottage and we absolutely adored the decor. Candy put in so much thought into the amenities. Everything you could think of or may need was available. If you are looking for a nice and quiet place to relax you have to try this place. The weather didn’t permit to sit outdoors on the patio but hope to return when it’s a little warmer. Don and Candy are amazing hosts! They went the extra mile to make our anniversary getaway comfortable and easy. We were gifted a basket with wine and chocolate to celebrate! The property is clean and in a quiet place. Very peaceful vibe. We will be going back!
