Villa Baranca is a beautiful villa and was a comfortable home for my family’s staff in Casa de Campo.
Unfortunately, Julio and Cristina (the hosts of the villa) were nothing but rude, aggressive, and unaccommodating from the time I expressed interest in renting the villa, through our stay, and even following our departure.
When you spend many thousands of dollars to rent a villa, it’s reasonable to expect respectful and considerate communication and consideration. What we received was the opposite.
From the very first inquiry message, Julio was condescending, unhelpful and curt. Upon arrival to Casa de Campo my family was held at the entrance gates for more than an hour as the gate attendants tried to figure out our passports and accommodation information, even though we provided Julio and Cristina with everything they had asked for (passports, names, etc.). When we contacted Cristina to assist, she was rude and unhelpful.
Throughout the stay we had the house staff use our credit card to purchase food and beverages for in-villa dining. When we discovered that there was an errant, extra charge on the credit card, we flagged this issue with Julio and Cristina, and they dismissed it as if it was our fault. To be clear, an extra transaction was made by the head member of the villa’s staff, using our credit card - the issue is blatantly simple and obvious: fraud at the hands of Villa Baranca staff, but again Julio and Cristina were condescending, aggressive, and unhelpful.

I wanted to really give credit to the staff. Kiara, Frank, Leo and Elizabeth. They went above and beyond for my family and I. They are such amazing people. We go to Casa de Campo yearly and have never had service as exceptional as this. From the moment we arrived with a welcome juice to the moment we left the service was out of this world. The food was out of this world. Every single dish breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious. The food at the villa is better then any restaurant inside of Casa de Campo. The staff is beyond thoughtful. They knew every single one of our favorite drinks, favorite meals. We celebrated two birthdays my mothers and grandfathers and they both confirmed they had never had a birthday like that before. The staff helped make their birthdays that much more special. The cleanliness was 10/10 for being spotless. The staff makes it seem seamless. When you step out of your room for 5 mins your entire room is re made. I have never in any country or any where felt as if the staff were so thoughtful and so wonderful. Outside of them being staff they are amazing people, so kind, so thoughtful. We felt like they were apart of our family and hated saying goodbye. I can go on and on about how amazing of an experience we had. We look forward to the day we can go back and enjoy all over again in this beautiful home with such a great group of people that assist you with the villa throughout your stay.

For being a manager of many buildings in New York City, this home has been well maintained staffed, incredibly beautiful. Although I only spent 3 days of heaven.. It felt like a lifetime and it's still with me. Thanks guys. Many blessings from you and my family

Overall, we were very pleased with the property. From the manager, to the chef, to the maids and the butler, everyone was very responsive and attentive. The chef prepared excellent meals and laundry was done daily by the maid. Would definitely recommend Julio's property.

We had a group of 8 friends total - two couples and four singles. Everyone had their own room and ensuite bathroom.
The property was even more impressive than the photos suggested. There was plenty of places to relax and hang out and even multiple options for where to have meals served.
The property backs into the golf course, which is a bonus for any golfers in the group.
The service was perfect. We elected to keep the staff through dinner and it was a great choice.
Frank, the butler, was exceptional in arranging all the activities we needed and even getting reservations last minute for 8 at SBG, when it was fully reserved online.
The chef and the cleaning staff were wonderful and we were very happy to leave them a great tip because they left us wanting for nothing.
Highly recommended for a group of our size.

We had the most restful and fun experience at this Villa. We came down with another family, 10 people in total and there was ample space for everyone. We loved the delicious meals at the huge outdoor round table created by the chef, and being so well taken care of by the support staff makes for a real holiday for parents;)). We loved that the tennis facility was a 3 min golf cart away, and the beach club under 10 min. We would absolutely recommend to our friends and family.

It was such an amazing trip!!! The house is so beautiful, just as the images show. Super clean! We swear the staff were ninjas, they were always cleaning, while we had breakfast they cleaned our rooms and rest of the house without us even noticing! And again in the afternoon. The staff and Frank were truly AMAZING! Definitely spoiled us and exceeded our expectations. Frank was always so helpful and courteous! The cooking from Doña Ilda was fantastic! She even made us Habichuelas con Dulce and flan for Easter week, so delicious!! Everything from breakfasts to dinner was amazing. Truly lovely staff. Let’s not forget that our towels were replaced daily and laundry was done and folded daily! For 14 people! I would definitely come back and recommend to everybody I know. Everything was truly amazing. We will miss Frank and the rest of the staff!

From the moment I booked and spoke to the host to the when we checked out and said our farewells to the staff at departure- the experience was 5 stars.
The villa is exceedingly more stunning than the photos convey. The feeling of pure bliss and peace fills every space as the open doors allow a tranquil breeze to flow throughout. The balcony on the second floor was one of my favorite spots, what an incredible view- I could've stayed there the whole time.
The staff welcomed us with big smiles, cold drinks and never left us wanting for anything.
The moment a drink was empty, the next one was placed in front of you.
The laundry baskets were washed daily and all our clothes was ironed and hung for us.
The rooms were made up in an instant as if housekeeping ninjas were sneaking in while we were having breakfast.
We were fed and doated on the entire time which was easy to get used to.
Kudos on a beautiful home, wonderful team and excellence overall experience.
We hope to return and do it again very soon!

Best Vacation ever!
Everything was so great that I just can't say enough! Frank our butler was so nice and accomodating and made sure we had whatever we needed. He made the experience well worth it! Our chef Joy made the best food and deserts. Very tasty and creative. The house keepers maintained the rooms and the house emmaculately and the best part, they did the laundry daily. Brought home a suitcase of clean clothes and that never happens on vacation. The gardner was also nice enough to get us cocunuts every day we wanted them. The property manager Martika was awesome from beginning to end. She made sure we knew what to expect and setup us up to have the best week. All in all it was sooo great and I would recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing and fun vacation in a full service beautiful home.

Very clean, short golf cart ride to the beach, plenty of bedroom space for the 5 of us, and beautiful outdoor area on the golf course. But the biggest difference for us was without a doubt the staff. Marta was amazing to communicate with before and during our stay. And Eddie, Chiara, and Gloria stole our hearts. We cried when we had to leave them!! The most attentive, caring, and lovely staff we have ever had. We could not have them our week at BO #6 any more!!!

Very clean, short golf cart ride to the beach, plenty of bedroom space for the 5 of us, and beautiful outdoor area on the golf course. But the biggest difference for us was without a doubt the staff. Barranca Oeste #6
This property is beautiful but what makes it feel like home is the caring attention of Maria, Susan and Jonathan. They catered to all our needs and wishes in a wonderful way. They were excellent. Communication with property manager was only by writing which made us a bit anxious as we like to be able to call and talk to clarify or confirm anything prior to arrival. Overall a great place to stay.

What an amazing Villa. Philippe and his team have done an outstanding job in making sure we relax and all our needs are taken care of. The villa is spacious, clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The best feature of the villa is Maria! Her meals and her attention to details and warm reception makes you feel at home.

Amazing House / Spacious / Warm / Comfortable / Great Views
The house and staff were amazing. What a great place for our family vacation. The house far exceeded our expectations. The house has plenty of great sitting areas inside and out as well as places to dine. The layout of the house afforded us great opportunities to spend family time together as well as find solitude to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. I cant say enough about Maria and her staff. Everyone was very attentive to all our needs. Every morning we woke up to the wonderful smell of fresh brewed coffee and breakfast. Maria arranged for a special dinner of fresh local fish and lobster for us and our guest from the marina, it was truly amazing.
No surprises here, the house and staff met all our expectations. From my initial contact and, throughout my stay Philippe communicated promptly.
We HIGHLY recommend this for anyone looking for an amazing experience.

As stated above very nice villa, but the bedroom within the Villa (other than Master Bedroom and the two outside) are rather tired and need s little facelift.

Maria, Jenn and Jonathon were 3 of the most sweetest people I ever met, they were
professional at their jobs and at the same time showing their kindness. Nothing that we asked for was ever a problem.
The house worked out perfect for us, there are 2 bedrooms that are detached from the main house, those were great for the ones without kids to be able to sleep in and to get some quiet time if needed.
Barranca Oeste #6 is about 10 minutes from the beach and resort pools and about 15 minutes from the marina, restaurants, and market with beer and wine. The distance never presented any issues. The house has its own pool and hot tub witch everyone used when not using the resort facilities.
Dominique communicated before the trip answering any questions, arranging a crib rental (1 crib comes with the house), arranging 2 golf carts (1 comes with the house)
arranging taxis for pickup and departure and starting us with the food essentials. She met us when we arrived and departed and I'm sure would have been there if needed.
Now for the cons-- 1) think twice and do some research before going fishing, it was a 4hr boat ride (Dominique said it might be and was). 2) Unfortunately our flight was cancelled at 9pm the night before our departure and had to get on another flight at 3:45am. We were unable to give Maria, Jenn and Jonathon a proper goodbye witch everyone including the kids was sad about. Our Spanish was not so good but with google translator communication was never a problem.

We went on a family vacation, 6 adults and 5 children 3-14.
The house is spacious, beautiful and very functional. It sits on the Links golf course with beautiful surroundings. It is big and versatile enough so that each person could have found a quiet corner if they wanted to, or be part of a group activity inside or on the huge balcony or the gazebo.
Maria the cook was exceptional: the food was very tasty and varied from day to day.
Every day our laundry "disappeared" from the hampers, and was returned washed and folded by the end of the day. Owner was easy to deal with and gracious.
We will gladly return. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Perfect for our honeymoon with friends!
We absolutely loved our stay in this villa. The house was better than the pictures, spacious bedrooms. The pool and backyard are beautiful, looking out onto the golf course and the ocean in the distance. Dominique the manager met us at the house and couldn’t have been more helpful. She brought us maps and helped us pick restaurants. Anytime we needed her she answered immediately. And Maria the cook was great also. The entire staff was always willing to wait on us and make sure we had everything we needed. It truly was the most relaxing and fun vacation! I recommend this house to any group of people , including kids. Casa de campo we will definitely be back!

Great Stay
My husband and I were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary back at Casa de Campo, since we had gotten married there. We both have family in the country and wanted to celebrate with everyone as we did on our wedding day. We were traveling with a large group of 70 some stayed in the hotel, and others rented villas as well. This villa attracted us due to its size, bedroom accommodations, lovely yard area, pets allowed and my personal communication with Philippe before booking.
Since we were traveling with our whole family which including our doggie grandparents/dog sitters we had to bring our two little guys along. Philippe was kind enough to allow us to have our babies stay at the villa as well.
Once we arrived Maria greeted our group of 11 with open arms and made us feel very welcomed! She was very sweet for eg. I get allergic reactions to mosquito bites and she was kind enough to bring me something from home to help bring down the swelling. One of the teens with us servers from diabetes and Maria made sure her insulin was always keep cold and her measuring cups were always placed by her plate during our meals. Jonathan the grounds keeper was just as great. One day he took noticed that we where drinking a lot of bottled coconut water, and to our surprise he had some fresh coconuts for us out by the pool the next day. :) Raquel, Maria's helper for the week was always very sweet and always had smile on her face which was contagious.
All of the of bedrooms where great and size and had great AC in them. We all kept saying how comfortable the beds and pillows were, even had some of us looking for the tags. One day there was a problem with the plumbing, as soon as Maria became aware she had someone there immediately to take care of it. They say the kitchen is the heart of the home. Now, when you are lucky enough to have someone as good as Maria doing the cooking for you at this villa the yard becomes the heart. When in the villa we literally spent every minute in the backyard. If we were not in the pool, we were in the gazebo enjoying great conversation and the cool breeze. My family and I who's ages ranged from 83 to 14 really enjoyed our stay at this villa. Beautiful Property, Salt-Water(Saline Pool) Big plus for us and friendly/helpful staff
We enjoyed our stay very much at this Villa. The house is beautiful and has several places to relax by the pool, play games, and plenty of space for all 14 of us (5 kids included). The salt water pool was one of the main reasons we chose this villa. My daughter has sensitivity to chlorine, so often she can not swim more than 1/2 hour without being in pain. When we saw this villa provided a saline/salt water pool, it was music to our ears. She spent the majority of time in the pool with the other family kids! She was ecstatic! We have been going to Casa de Campo since 2001 and really have always enjoyed our experience and this being no different. Although it was on the pricier side, the pool was worth it to us. Cristina, Hilda and Jonathan were very friendly and Cristina cooked very well. Because my husband is from La Romana, and I speak spanish, we had no problems communicating with the staff. I will say, when we were not in the villa, my family who knows no spanish, had trouble communicating with them.
The booking process was a bit disappointing for me, but their contact in La Romana made up for the lack of friendliness. It wasn't completely horrible, I just felt the gentleman booking the property lacked a bit of tact in his words at times. All was well in the end. I did not take any stars off the property for this though, because as I said, our time was wonderful and Joseph Lester really was much friendlier and easier to communicate with. He did everything he could to make sure our stay was comfortable and he often checked in on us. He was very knowledgable about the local area and the resort.
One note: I do believe that toilet paper should be included with the rental with the amount of money that is spent on the villa. Luckily others had more left in other rooms, but when my someone in our family ran out in their room, they were told there was no more left and we would have to buy more. While you are there, I highly recommend the shooting area, it was really fun. The beach is about 10 minutes away in a golf-cart and closer in a car. The beach is clean, private, and has clear waters and some snorkeling for the amateurs, like me ;) There is a grocery store at the marina, but if you have a car, head to town and you have Jumbo and La Sirena. Its cheaper! La Sirena is in the new MegaCentral.
Overall, I do believe we would definitely book this property again unless we buy our own! :0)

Third year our extended family has spent a week here. Beautiful villa and a wonderful staff.
A delightful holiday retreat from the New England winter. Grandkids love the pool and hot tub. Maria, Christina, and Jonathan are both warm and professional. They meet all our needs and are so responsive. Physically the villa is very attractive and comfortable. Access to the marina, beach, tennis club is very easy with the golf carts.
We are planning for the owners to hold the same week for next year, the best recommendation.

Amazing!
We were a group of 3 couples and we had an amazing time at the house, everything was super clean, svc and food from Maria, cristina and jonathan was like no other. Marias food was like no other.
The only issue we had was 2 houses down (PIT BULL HOUSE) They had parties everyday and music was super loud until 2-3am, we called security and nothing was done. Also the construction on the house next door started super early and didnt let us sleep.
We will be going back next year. All the best.

A beautiful villa
A beautiful villa on the golf course! The house is incredibly spacious, immaculate and beautifully kept by the amazing Maria and her team. They made us feel so welcome and looked after us so well! We arrived after 2 weeks touring Costa Rica and Maria did our laundry - everything was ready within a few hours. Towels (bathroom and pool) were changed everyday. Jonathan helped us pick some avocados from the garden and once ripe we had them for lunch during the week. They were beautiful! For my father's birthday Maria prepared a typical Dominican meal which was incredibly good. She is a fantastic cook! We thoroughly enjoyed the pool where we all spent a lot of time relaxing. We spent one day on Catalina Island (trip organised by the hotel) which we highly recommend. A lovely week gone too fast!

Beautiful property!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Villa. We came as a group of six couples for my birthday and fit comfortably in this home. The staff was amazing. Maria made us feel welcomed and spoiled us with her cooking! She even prepared an authentic Dominican dinner for a birthday dinner that was amazing! Including a homemade Flan! We loved our stay!
The only negative is the construction next door, which I'm sure will end soon!

Dream Villa~Dream Vacation~Dream Location!
Fantastic property that is open and inviting yet has privacy as you need it! The views are lovely and the pool is truly inviting! We already miss Maria and her coffee service each day and her pleasant personality. The staff was very professional and kind to us. We had a great time and absolutely would come back again with our family. Thank you!

Outstanding property! I would rent it again for sure.
Clean!!!!! We had 6 couples stay at the house and we had plenty of room and privacy. The pool is amazing and the grounds are perfectly maintained. We were 5 minutes from the main hotel the beach and Teeth of the Dog golf course. Would highly recommend this villa to anyone.

A vacation treat!
This was our second time renting this villa. What a delight! Our family, three generations, has enjoyed the excellent staff and especially Maria, who is so responsive, warm, and connects well with our young children. We even bonded with "Gato" the wandering cat that provided additional amusement and entertainment! The villa itself is lovely and very well maintained. The pool area is so appealing to the kids that it is sometimes a challenge to pry them away to spend time at the beach. We will surely return next year.

A great place for the whole family
A wonderful house, terrific staff that made us feel right at home, a great swimming pool that the grandchildren loved, a visiting cat who adopted us, and lots of space for people to chat or be alone. The only downside was a new construction project down the road that was using large jack hammers to build the basement. Lots of noise from 8:00am to 5:00pm. We were often at the beach or the hotel pool, so it didn't really bother us as much. The house was very comfortable for all 14 of us from 2 to 72.

A beautiful home and great staff!
If you're looking for a home away from home, this is the place for you. Not only does this home have top shelf amenities, a great location and wonderful views, the staff makes you feel as if you're family. From Maria's home cooking to the rest of the staff's attentiveness, you can't go wrong. We can't wait to come back - we hope to make this an annual trip!!

A wonderful stay
We had a wonderful stay at this villa. The house and grounds were beautiful and spacious and easy to get around. Pool , hot tub , outdoor lounging areas were great. You even have a view of the ocean in the distance. The staff was very good and attentive. Maria was fantastic and made us breakfast everyday, she was so nice to us, I thought someone had brought their mother on the trip! Can't wait to come back.
