Stayed at Paradise on the Lake for 3 days during fall break with our family of 5. Loved that everyone had their own bed and a separate bathroom for the kids. The property was very clean and nicely stocked with essentials. Location on the lake was perfect with a very conveniently located boat ramp! Will stay again!

When we arrived we found our accommodation clean and secure. The location was beautiful! We appreciated there being some seasoned firewood for the fire pit too. However, there were some issues we found over the course of our three night stay. First, the master bedroom had only a full-size bed. Not ideal, doable, but not ideal. The mattress was as hard a a rock. My husband and I did not sleep well. The HVAC system’s thermostat was set to a desirable temperature. However, we found that though the system was running no air was moving through the vents in the master bedroom, bathroom or living room. We tried opening windows to ventilate (it was actually quite warm our first day with highs in the 80s) but most windows lacked screens letting in bugs or they were stuck. The shower in the master bath dripped constantly. The toilet at one point would not stop running; my husband had to fix it. There were zero outlets in the master bath, so all hair drying had to happen in the bathroom off the kitchen. However, the outlets in there were not GFCI outlets (definitely not up to any code and not safe to use if the shower had been recently used). No fans in either bathroom. I’m glad we’re not a tall family (we top out at 5’8”) because the ceilings all topped out at 6’. The counters were too low to comfortably eat at (4’), and the stools were VERY uncomfortable and too high for those counters. A small dinner table would’ve been better. There’s room for improvement!

We had such a great time. Beautiful home, comfy beds, all the amenities of home. We kept busy with hiking, cave tours, kayaking, and had plenty of time to enjoy this home. Enjoyed the back deck, grilled out and watched scary movies in the projector we brought. Loved waking up to views of the lake too! Tim and Roxie were great with communication and quick to reply to any questions we had.

We loved the house, location, and our stay. Everything that you could possibly need was provided. The boat ramp at the end of road was so convenient to put our kayaks in and out of the water. The driveway is steep and small but I was able to maneuver a small 8’ trailer around the whole weekend. Everything worked out perfectly. The porch has an amazing view of the lake. We all loved it. I highly recommend!

The house has an awesome view of the lake. The dock is a real short walk to the bottom of the property. I was able to put in my boat and leave it in the water the entire trip. The ac stopped working and I was able to talk with the owner directly. She sent a technician out and it was back on quickly. Spacious a frame house with comfortable beds. The deck is so big we could played corn hole while grilling out.

Nice first floor. Really tight upstairs for adults but works for some. The view is everything for this property. Walk to and from dock is hard so if any health issues could be difficult.

We really enjoyed staying at this house. Had everything we needed. Access to the lake was easy. We loved the view from the porch, pictures don't do it justice! There was lots of outdoor seating. House was very clean. Rooms were spacious.

Very comfortable, roomy and clean house. Boat dock easily accessible, beach front fun area. Had 5 deer show up every evening.

Great view of lake and sunrise. Two young deer on lawn and woods at edge of the lake. Remote location so take what you need. Low profile cars beware of slight pavement drop on passenger side of driveway entrance. Wonderful deck to relax and view the lake.

We had a great time and the rental house and property was awesome. We used the grill and the kitchen. The beds were comfortable, the deck was great and the view was awesome. We used the fire pit and the backyard for playing baseball and golf. We had a great stay and planning to stay again in the future.

Terrific, clean spot with spectacular view of Nolin Lake from the porch. While a little long (40min) , the drive to the mammoth caves is beautiful, and the serenity of being on the lake is unmatched. Responsive and helpful hosts.

Everything was amazing except very confusing to find in the dark! If you arrive at night be sure to figure out where you’re going first. There are 2 addresses listed that are different. Other than that, this was a great stay and I highly recommend. Out kids loved it and so did we! Everyone in the area was super friendly and the decks and lake were amazing! Would definitely stay again!

This was the perfect place for us - great location and very clean and functional home. Easy instructions for checking in and out. Good spot for late night fishing too. Our whole family really enjoyed it!

We rented this home for our stay exploring mammoth caves. Came in the fall and the leaves on the trees were beautiful. The walk to the beach is nice and the kids enjoyed playing by the lake. Home has some games and books for the kids, which was appreciated, and tons of seating on the deck. We also appreciated the option of the grill. Plenty of parking in the driveway for a full sized pick up truck and our van.

If you want to escape reality, this is a perfect spot. Not a pristine resort, it's got cozy personality. Perfect for groups, especially for kids.

Beautiful place with an amazing view. It was so nice to sit on the deck at sun rise and sunset and just take it all in. We went in September, so it was the end of the season. It wasn't that busy around us. Not many people staying nearby, so it was quiet and peaceful. The place was perfect for our family of four. The ceiling is lower than 8 feet. It is a few inches above the door trim. If you are tall you may feel a little claustrophobic. I am 5'10" and didn't feel claustrophobic. There is a boat launch down the road if you bring a boat. You can use kayaks or a small boat right of the beach at the bottom of the property. We brought an inflatable boat for four and enjoyed many days on the lake and some time on the island that can be seen from the deck. The kitchen is will stocked with everything you need to cook. They even have a crockpot, so you can put a meal to cook and come back at the end of the day with a hot meal ready to eat. There is a nice propane grill with an attached hot plate to cook outside. There is a DG Market about a 10-15-minute drive down the road which has pretty much anything you would need. It's not Wal-Mart or Target, (which is a 40+ minute drive away) but it has the essentials plus a lot more.

This lake house was perfect for our family. We have 3 kids 8 to15 years in age. Everyone had their own bed to sleep in. The view from the deck was amazing! I would definitely recommend this place.

Mammoth Cave lake front vacation
My family were looking for a lake front property that would give us the opportunity to spend time swimming, fishing and boating between our visits to Mammoth Cave. The Lakeside Paradise was a great fit. We had awesome time and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this spot for a family vacation.

This place was great. Clean and comfortable. We loved the beach area! Nice place to enjoy the water. The walk back up the hill wasn't easy, but it was worth it!

We needed a relaxing home base for family activities in Mammoth Cave NP and Bowling Green. This property turned out to be a perfect choice. The lake home was clean, comfortable, cozy, and reasonably priced. The view off the covered back deck was gorgeous. We watched the sky, listened to birds sing and fish jump, and even sat on the deck and experienced a storm go by. Our communications with the owners were outstanding and they were very gracious. We highly recommend this property!

We stayed at this property over a long Easter weekend. We drove to Mammoth Cave (about 35 minutes) for one day to explore and just enjoyed being at the property the rest of the weekend. Our family enjoy the beautiful cabin and being on the lake. The cabin is stocked with all the items you may need for cooking. The sunrises were beautiful! Our children loved having their own space upstairs. Thanks so much to Tim and Roxanne for supplying everything the house needs for such a wonderful stay!!
