Cobb was terrific and helped us make a reservation close to our travel time. The house is in a terrific location, beachfront with easy access. The house maintenance needs attention. Broken shades, soiled linens, worn bathroom furnishings, terrible shower water pressure. No good outside chairs/furnishings. Not a “Cobb-quality” property compared to the two others we’ve stayed in.

The house was delightful. The living area/kitchen/dining was all open and bright. I really enjoyed the deck that was on two sides of the house. The house was well-furnished and extremely clean. The parking area under the house was on a concrete foundation and therefore very clean. The area was relatively quiet and we were very close to the beach. It was a great place for a getaway. Well worth the money! Also, Cobb Realty was a great company to deal with. They were very professional.

House was clean, perfect size for us! View was awesome, location the best! Quiet part of beach and the beach combing excellent! A 10” fully intact welk rose quartz and topaz quartz found just in front of house. Master bed—- vey, very FIRM, but we travel a lot and had our 3”tempurpedic mattress topper so all was well! Kitchen was ok.... cooking pans could be updated, but no biggie. It was very cold two days, discovered hot water heater is in attic so water for showers was lukewarm... again no biggie! The views and location took care of any minor issues! Cell reception was fantastic! Outdated TVs.... but no problem for us! We watch news and we had our own devices for that! We are planning to rent again in Feb/March!

This beach house is set at the end of the road about 5 minutes away from the hustle and bustle. It is a great place to relax with a great view of the beach. The inside is spacious and clean. The photos reflect a queen in the Master, but it is actually a King. The only draw backs were the King bed was really hard and the queen beds were really soft, but that is all preference. This house can sleep 8-10 with the sofa beds.

We had a lovely time - the deck on two sides perfect, shade all the time, the only thing that would improve it is if they provided nicer patio furniture (instead of cheap, flimsy plastic chairs). That is really the only negative thing I have to say about this house and our stay.

We couldn’t have hand picked a better beach house. The view from the deck was amazing. There was a breeze every evening we were there. My wife and I slept in the master bedroom. It was very comfortable. The house was very clean. My wife thought the sofas in the living room could be updated, but other than that, we were completely satisfied and we would definitely rent the same house again

The property was ok overall there is a boardwalk condo directly behind this house 50' feet away which is not in the pictures listed, which can make for noisy neighbors when you're trying to get away, had issues with the hot water heater off and on all week, they said nothing was wrong well something was wrong, when the hot water doesn't get hot and will barely stay warm for 5 minutes. Weather was cold and windy very foggy so made for interesting week with no hot showers for the family. The location of the house is front row on the beach that was about the only plus side , I had elderly family who went back home after first day with no warm water for showers, management didn't seem to care much. The furnitureand house is very outdated for the price they charge the sofa beds are very uncomfortable according to my children and I can confirm this, the fishing was one of the few plus sides to this house if you go in the evening time or early morning time when the beach is very empty. I had asked management to call me back before they closed on Thursday for questions I had concerning issues in the house and they never did, poor communication between renter and management company could have been way better. I will be going to the Bolivar peninsula again because we enjoyed the area but not sure I will be renting from this company again because of the poor communication skills and lack of attention to our situation. When I went to drop off the key I didn't even get an explanation for anything as to why I didn't receive a call back the day before Overall I would rate this a 2 star visit just because of the fishing in the area and the close walk to the beach from the front door. There is very few restraunts in the area for dining most were closed at the times we would have liked to go so hope you like waiting in line to cross the ferry to go eat lunch or dinner on the Galveston side. Goodluck and enjoy !

Had some issues with management the first day before we even arrived to check in, she stated she would not wait 15 mins past closing after us Being on the road for 7 hours, yes I had to speed to make check in 10 mins from closing time, had issues with hot water thru out the week, had some elderly family that had to go back early because of this issue, the boardwalk condo is directly behind this house 50' feet away makes for noisy neighbors, the furniture and beds were outdated and the pullout sofas are not comfortable location is the front of of beach and the fishing was good poor communication with management thru out the week. Waited to receive a call back from management day before check out on some questions we had and never received a call back. Bolivar peninsula is a great place to relax I will go back just not sure I would rent from this company again. I would rate this rental 2 stars overall just for location and fishing location.

First let me say we plan to rent this location again next year! Loved the open floor plan...the master bedroom was very spacious and quite a welcome surprise. The entire family was able to stay due to the spacious rooms and areas. The location was perfect....right at beachside. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Love this sweet house. Very spacious and comfortable. Beachfront and adjacent to access road. Quieter end of Bolivar Peninsula but close enough to everything you may need. This house can sleep 11 but we only had 4. The bed arrangement was perfect for my older teenagers, instead of a place with bunk beds. Plenty of room to add air mattresses, etc. Includes park style grill, picnic table downstairs, tables and patio chairs upstairs and excellent linen service. Will stay here again for sure! ♥

This is our 3rd stay at this home. We spent all of Monday sopping up water that was pouring thru the sliding glass door. Nothing has been fixed since the first time we stayed there really disappointed in this house won’t stay again

The staff at Cobb was excellent as always..The house on the other hand was not worth the money. The air never kept up, under the sink and pot closet was all molded, the tub did not drain in the main bathroom, the house still had dog hair and dog pee on the carpets, and all the furniture is falling apart. This could be a great house but needs work from the owner.

Everything was perfect, gorgeous view from every room in the house, home equipped with everything we needed, very easy checkin and checkout procedures. My only comment is the bedspreads should be laundered in addition to the sheets because all three bedspreads had some stuff on them, not just stains but dirty spots from other guests that should have been cleaned before we arrived.

Great location in the Caplen area and you are only steps away from the beach. Overall, the house was in good condition but living room furniture is showing lots of wear and tear, bed in master bedroom extremely hard, and cookware is old and unusable. We still had a great time though and will use Cobb's again next year.

I recently took my 4 grandchildren and daughter to the Texas coast for our Spring Break. All children are under 12 so this home right on the beach was perfect for us. We have an early break, so for our stay, the beaches were quiet. There was plenty of room for the kids to play, watch DVD's and just be kids at the beach. The large wrap around balcony, covered carport, hoses to rinse off sand worked very well. My only complaint is the fact vehicles may drive on the beach which is out of the control of the rental agency or owner.....guess it's a Texas law.
