The location was great. Many restaurants and stores nearby. The house was very cozy and comfortable. We loved the rooms decorations.

Elegant traditionally decorated townhouse with a lot of beautiful artifacts that I would imagine with toddlers or little kids could be worrisome for parents in regards to possible accidents. Very clean comfy bedrooms and perfectly located in a quiet square but walking access to restaurants etc I would recommend for older teens and adults and infants but not elderly or toddlers as the wooden stairs for access to the bedrooms or even to the front door are quite steep. The back courtyard is rustic and charming and parking very convenient.

Directions for the parking place for this specific property were a smidge confusing. But we found it. The lockbox on the kitchen door did not want to open the night before we left to come back home. We put in the numbers 5 or 6 times, but it did not want to open. We finally got it. Moment of uncertainty there! No plug available for a lamp beside the bed. Lamp was there, but no way to use it. We like to be able to turn on a lamp if have to get up during the night. Plenty of towels, which was good. Overall, a great experience. Beautiful rental.

Perfect location,on a quiet square within walking distance of attractions. The courtyard garden was a bonus.A stroll round to Agatha's for coffee is fun. Wish I could have gone to the jazz bar next door as well.I had a couple of issues with the house which I mentioned on check-out and the delightful lady at the Lucky Savannah office (I wish I'd got her name: she has got customer service down to a T) took that on board.Would recommend both Savannah and this property.

Our family of four (2 adults and 2 teens) found this to be a perfect spot. Each kid had their own room. The neighborhood was perfect for what we wanted: quiet and safe feeling so the kids could venture out on their own, walking distance to nice coffee shops and restaurants, short walk to Forsythe Park. Walking distance to the more touristy parts of town but in a quiet neighborhood. House itself is very cute and filled with interesting nic-nacs. Could use another comfortable chair or two. I mark it 4 stars for "clean" because: while it was CLEAN some of the furniture had stains and the back yard was comfortable but a bit overgrown and neglected feeling. But the house, kitchen, beds, bathrooms were all perfectly clean.

The rental was just as described and clean. I liked the location. But, I was very disappointed/frustrated with the unhelpfulness and lack of understanding when I contacted them about getting a refund for a night. My flight was delayed leaving by two days due to rain and the airport flooding and I asked Lucky Savannah if I could reduce my stay from 3 nights to 2 nights as a result. They wouldn’t. The place was SO expensive and their inflexibility and lack of empathy to understand and refund me a night was extremely maddening. They said that there weren’t any reservation changes/refunds and wouldn’t kindly take into account that this request to change my booking to reducing it by a night was due to flight conditions that were out of my control. Their inflexibility was extreme, unhelpful and off putting.

Our first trip to Savannah and Canterbury Main House was the perfect place to stay. We found the lovely old house clean and comfortable. The kitchen was small, but very well-appointed; we had everything we needed. Beds were very easy on our backs with plenty of pillows. The furnishings were interesting with lots of books to peruse. Be prepared for a lot of steps, both into the house and up to the bedrooms! Our house was located directly across from one of Savannah's lovely squares and we were able to walk to many bars, restaurants and shopping areas. We felt safe walking everywhere, even in the evenings. Can't say enough about Savannah's squares; the blasts of green are each beautifully unique. We highly recommend the Savannah trolley tour for a good look at the high points of the city, which is absolutely rich in history. We will have to come back again soon, as there is much more to explore. We highly recommend visiting both Savannah and the Canterbury Main House.

Went for ladies weekend. The unit was beautifully appointed with everything you took me. Very comfortable and decorated beautifully . Property was right on quiet Chatham Square just a few blocks from sightseeing locations. Could not have asked for more! Walking distance to EVERYTHING.

We rented the Canterbury Main for a week and it was perfect. Everything was within a 20 minute walk. We have three kids and having Forsyth park three blocks away was amazing for taking them somewhere to play. The house had plenty of space for us and having a place to go that felt like home every night was the perfect end to every day.

Lucky Savanna never told me that the patio and grill was not private, you need to share with 4 more families. Linens where fresh and clean. The TV in living room doesn't work. A beautiful home in the heart of the historic district - Canterbury Main was as charming as its listing described. Two girlfriends and I stayed in this 3-bedroom throwback to another time in Savannah's history. The home was a great blend of the historical (antiques everywhere (hence the copious amount of coasters providing a constant giggle to us all, pocket doors I imagine throwing open to welcome everyone to the dining room) and modern (central air, washer/dryer). A few very small issues with our stay - the door locks are still a bit of a mystery to us, dishwasher is very small and fills up quickly. But these are quirks that can be overlooked (or, in the case of the doorlocks, partially remedied by a very quick response from Joshua, Joy and Brooke at lucky Savannah!) We would definitely go back any time we are in town! And it bears repeating - the folks at Lucky Savannah were GREAT. Responsive, helpful, cheerful...perfect.

A group of my girlfriends and I stayed here over a weekend for a Bachlorette party. The stay overall was a 5, very clean, slept all of us comfortably, great location! Parking was not a issue, I'd definitely recomand it!

Canterbury House was comfortable, cool, and convenient to everything in the Historic District. The terrace was in full bloom, and the baby robins that hatched in their nest in the spokes of the patio umbrella were a bonus! Lucky Savannah was a pleasure to deal with.

Canterbury Main House was a perfect setting for our reunion of three college friends in Savannah. Lovely house in a great location. It was too hot in late August to enjoy the backyard, but the AC in the house worked well and was much appreciated. We would definitely come back or rent from Lucky Savannah again!

Comfortable. The rental office was absolutely the best. From the moment I first started contacting Lucky Savannah about possible rental opportunities up to the day before our arrival, they could not have been more accommodating. They were always there to answer my questions and address my concerns. I would highly recommend them and specifically Sydney. She was patient and so kind and very knowledgeable. The rental itself was beautiful and clean. We had many conversations about the decor, as we couldn't quite figure out some pieces they had in the home but if nothing else it was a great debate between us. The one thing that was off putting the the scent of the home. When we first arrived it was musty and smelly, like an old museum. You eventually got used to it or maybe the a/c circulated it around so we didn't notice as much but it was definitely there the whole time. Truthfully, we spent minimal time indoors so it was not a big issue for us. Should we return to Savannah I would want to choose a different rental location because of this. Overall, we loved our experience and would recommend to our friends and family.

Great location! Really enjoyed taking our time through the different parks and we easily walked everywhere. One thing. We had trouble entering the home initally, due to the back gate being locked. We were able to get through the gate next door and then retrieve the key to the gate from inside the home. Gotta be a better way to enter. Would use this home again when we come to Savannah. Thanks!

Our annual girl's trip took us to Savannah this year. Six of us stayed in the Canterbury Main House, two of us stayed in the garden apartment. Both properties were terrific. Can't say enough about the location - we enjoyed the walk to town multiple times each day. Several in our group are runners and had great runs around nearby Forsyth Park and the beautiful neighborhood we were staying in. All in all, it was a win for our group!

The house and carriage house were exactly as described and so comfortable for the 8 of us. It was a perfect distance from downtown which made for healthy, interesting walks each day. There was plenty of information about the logistics of the stay along with things to do in the area.

The House was in a wonderful location and was a beautiful period home. The house inside was clean and organized. The patio outside was great to sit out. While the bed could have been a bit more comfortable, we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed Savannah. As a side note, we did have an issue with the front door and the mgt team got back to me immediately and were very friendly.

This was the perfect Savannah house for 5 people. Two couples, one in each of the 2 large bedrooms and a single person in the full sized bed in the small 3rd bedroom. The property was clean and well maintained, and the living spaces felt comfortable and spacious, even when our Savannah family came to visit. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed the time we spent in the courtyard (every morning for breakfast and coffee!). Chatham Square outside our door was peaceful, and Forsythe Park was right around the corner. We loved that we were walking distance to River Street and everything in between (we did take a pedi-cab back once and Uber drivers abound if the city has worn you out). We will definitely stay here again when we are back to visit!
