We were 2 couples for a week and felt we had plenty of room. The layout was good and very functional. We cook most meals and felt the kitchen was spacious and well equipped. Very clean. Just a short 3-5 minute walk to the gondola( we felt walking in/out thru the garage was faster than the front door). We didn’t use the pool and hot tub but it looked very inviting. My only suggestions are the mattresss (bedroom and Murphy) are probably getting close to needing replacing and the washer/dryer combo would only wash and not dry(we followed all instructions with no luck)—this was a big fail for us as we count on having this in the unit rather than using the public laundry.

The check in process was abnormal, having to go to another building across the highway to get the keys.
Would definitely recommend. My family will look to stay here again next time we’re in town.

Horrible location, elevator did not work and we were never told the elevator didn’t work we drove 13 hours to find out to walk 5 flights of stairs

My only complaint about this stay was the lack of directions upon check in. We did not know how to get into the garage, where it was located, where to park within the garage to have access to our specific building, or even when floor our unit was located on. We had to check every floor for their numbers. The elevator is also broken (doesn’t seem to be getting fixed anytime soon) they sent me a text about the elevator three weeks ago and it was still out of order. We had to climb all of our luggage up five flights of stairs once we figured out that our obscure unit number was on the top floor. The place itself was great, but getting to it the first time was a fiasco and could be made much easier with specific instructions.

We got into the parking garage and had been advised a few days prior that the elevator was out of order. There was another couple wandering the garage not knowing where to go. We found a staircase and started climbing flights. We had no idea what floor we were on so we huffed and puffed up to each floor to find our room number and it was an exhausting ordeal. We ended up being on the 5th floor. So five flights of stairs, unacclimated to the altitude, carrying luggage and being overweight was not ideal. I thought I was going to die when we got to the room. I was coughing up my lungs on the balcony. I messaged the contact about moving to another room & never heard anything until the next day when I was told that couldn't happen.
The room itself was very nice & comfortable for the 4 of us. Everything was as described, plenty of blankets towels, the humidifier and fans came in handy. It was comfy even without AC. The oven got hot to the touch outside which was odd. The washer dryer didn't work well. It washed but didn't ever dry anything completely so we used the paid machine on the 4th floor.
I went to the store to pick up munchies & again hiked up 5 flights and it was horrible. I messaged again to ask if we could check out a day early because we just couldn't keep doing this up and down. Didn't hear anything back until the following afternoon which was too late. The elevator finally was fixed the 2nd day and it made things 100x more pleasant. Thank you elevator repair man!

We stayed 6 nights and had 2 adults and 3 teens. Although we chose to stay in a smaller place, it wasn't too tight of a fit. We weren't really in the room much other then to sleep and eat and there was just enough room to fit us all fine. It's perfect walking distance to the gondola and the resort village. Kids loved the pool and hot tubs and pool table in river run. It was nice our key card worked on River run as well. Balcony was HUGE with nice views. Walking distance to everything you need.

The property was nice and conveniently located within walking distance of the River Run Village ski lifts, shops, and restaurants. We enjoyed the electric fireplace. It was very clean and perfect for the 5 of us. It was great having the parking garage underneath the property.
However, we did not receive a check-in email from the property managers. I had received a VRBO email and thinking it was check-in details, I did not check it carefully. I had to contact VRBO to get a phone number of someone to call to get check-in details, so we were delayed about an hour getting into the property after a long day of traveling. This was annoying after having called 48 hours ahead to get details and was told we would get them on the day of check-in. The person we spoke to on the phone informed us that we had received a check-in email, but they were incorrect. We had to drive to a separate location to pick up the keys for the room, and the staff there was not particularly friendly.
When skiing, I always book a place with a washer and dryer. This unit had a washer/dryer combo appliance. We could not get the dryer to adequately dry our clothes even after maintenance came by and instructed us on the proper way to use it. It would spin and heat but not dry. I think water was leaking into the machine while it was supposed to be drying.
Overall this property was great for us. We just wish check-in had been more smooth and the dryer had worked properly.

We loved this unit, great location, super comfy and nice views from the balcony. The Dakota Lodge is right at the River Run base, with shops, food, bars and even a little grocery store. Super awesome location with views of the mountain while using outdoor pool and spa!

The location is amazing. We never drove anywhere. Everything we needed was within wamking distance. The only things that were not great was the sauna was down and the condo washer and dryer did not work that great. It was much easier to use the on-site ones.

We loved this condo. Check in was extremely easy and it was clean and very comfortable. The fireplace, heated garage, hot tub, king size bed, everything was great. The space heater was super convenient. The only complaint would be that the knives were extremely dull so if you plan on cooking, I would make sure you know how to sharpen a dull blade.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in Dakota 8536. It was immaculately clean and very spacious. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The bed was comfortable - we slept well. The gas fireplace added to the coziness when relaxing at night. The washer/dryer combo was a nice, convenient addition to the unit. We enjoyed the pool area with a view! The garage parking was very welcome. SCMR is always a friendly, responsive, and professional company to work with. We had a great experience all the way around. Thank you! We will be back.

Clean room!! Was wonderful for our 1 night getaway. Only complaint would be we specifically wanted a hot tub and the hot tub was closed for renovations until mid October. That should be communicated with renters. We would have definitely chosen somewhere else had we been notified of that. I give it a 3 due to the lack of communication. It was very disappointing when we arrived to find out we would not be able to use the hot tub.

The communication form the summit county mountain rentals office was phenomenal and our check in and check our were very smooth. We had a wonderful and spacious stay with our teenaged children. Keystone itself was breathtaking and close to so many places to explore. We would definitely stay there again and recommend the unit as well.

I stay in Keystone with SCMR all the time because their rates are the best and the places are always wonderful. This was the first time I’ve ever experienced an issue - the owner of the unit was in the condo when we arrived as there was a scheduling hiccup. They thankfully vacated when we arrived but I hope someone at SCMR looks into the reason there was an issue with the schedules. It was resolved quickly but it could have been a serious issue if it had been anyone other than the owner. Otherwise the unit was great and had everything we need.

Disclaimer: We rent a condo every year somewhere to ski. This was our 2nd time at Keystone, 1st time since the pandemic. Prices, of course, were higher, so we went smaller with the same amount of people. We had 2 couples, a teen and a preteen. Size to move around is ok and was as expected. The murphy bed and pull-out bed were both used by me and I will not do that again. They were uncomfortable. Everything else in the condo worked out just fine. Bottom line if you are using the murphy bed or pull-out for kids that are not contributing, this is a nice place. If there is more than one adult couple. Might want to rethink this one unless new mattresses are purchased.

The upsides were 2 bathrooms, washer / dryer, fireplace, heated ski lockers, heated parking garage, 2 hot tubs & pool, balcony overlooking the skating rink, short walk to Après Ski.
We cooked in 2 nights for dinner and the kitchen had what we needed to prepare the meal. Could have used a couple more options for leftovers. We worked it out.
Owner might want to add something to store clothes. We were limited on drawers to put our stuff with 2 kids. 1 kid kept clothes in his suitcase all week due to no drawer / closet space. Not a big deal, just a suggestion.
Overall it was a great place to spend the week.

Rental property was the perfect size for my son and me. The kitchen was well stocked for our needs and the combo washer/dryer unit was convenient for our needs. The underground parking was great to keep the car out of the elements. We did have an issue getting a parking place in the Dakota garage but just parked in a different garage and moved the next day. The leasing staff were great and attentive to our needs. Location was terrific since it was not far from the River Run Village and main lifts. The pullout bed is not real comfortable but is very functional.

This condo was exactly what we needed! Spacious enough for 5 adults and a child with 3 beds and 2 bathrooms plus plenty of floor space for additional air mattresses if needed. We loved having the washer/dryer combo in the condo. We were able to pack lighter, wash a few loads during our stay and go home with fresh clean clothes. This condo is located right in the heart of the River Run Village and is just steps from all the restaurants, bars and gondola. It was clean and had all the kitchen supplies we needed, including a crock pot to serve up warm lunches for easy come and go meals from the slopes. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the check process was a breeze. My door card was kindly replaced when lost. Unfortunately it was a bit inconvenient to only have one key for the ski locker.
The only downside was that the building only has one elevator. We found ourselves waiting and waiting, sometimes missing the elevator stop because it was so full. The parking garage is small, but even on a busy weekend, we didn’t have any problem finding a parking spot each time we came and went.
