Floors were filthy upon entry, ice maker did not work, one outlet in kitchen was inoperable, wifi was terrible . . . Hardly ever worked, would have preferred deadbolt on front door, poor cooking skillet, roaches. We like to keep things tidy wherever we stay but the broom appeared to be 10+ years old so that was a little difficult. The hose outside to spray off the sand was not very good. Place was nicely decorated and bed was comfortable. Nice to be beachfront, however, not worth it for us with all the disadvantages. We would not consider returning to this rental

It had everything we needed and was in a great location. The best part was being able to bring our older dog who requires daily meds. She loved sitting in her bed and watching people on the beach.

If you are looking for the perfect place for a couples getaway, this is the place. Although not as modern and upscale as it’s neighbors, the location and literal steps to the beach are what makes this condo perfect!! I would highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

Place was clean and ready. Checkin was very easy. Paul was awesome to deal with and is ontop of things. Would love to come back and stay again. We extended our stay and the cleaning crew dropped off some fresh towels and toiletries for us as a courtesy.

We absolutely loved this condo. It was clean, well decorated and very convenient to the beach and restaurant’s. Very happy the owners share their piece of heaven with others. Will definitely want to come back next year.

We were traveling with my family (3 kids 5 and under) and it was AMAZING. Being able to walk straight out the back, grab your beach gear, and be there in 2 minutes is the reason I chose this location. I read through some of the reviews and I was surprised they said it was dirty! Could it be deep cleaned? Sure! But I’m sure your house could too. Someone said the picture was not exactly how your view would look? YES IT IS. Exactly like the picture. Sit on the back porch with view and sounds of the ocean. Sure there are dunes that block a little bit, especially since you’re ground level, but overall you can’t beat it. Paul and his wife were soooo kind and helpful with everything we needed, even coming over when we had a WiFi problem. Also, the maintenance man did everything he could to make it work for us. Overall amazing!!!! The only thing that would keep us from coming back is my wild children needing just a little bit more room to spread out. Thanks again!!!!

Stay was wonderful and the condo was everything I expected and more. While it is not brand new with everything updated, it is very clean and in good condition. It is VERY nice being able to park near the door and not to have to deal with stairs or an elevators like other large places. It is located in a good spot and I would highly suggest Stewby's Seafood Shanty and Hightide Seafood both of which are less than 2 minutes from the condo. Thanks for having us!

We had an overall good stay. The place was cute and directly on the beach. Check in was easy. Overall it was quiet and relaxing. The wifi never worked right. We were also told there was a washer and dryer however it doesn’t appear there has been one in the designated room for a while. There was also only one roll of toilet paper. Neither of these were a huge problem however it would have been nice to know ahead of time to be prepared.

The condo was very small. The couch looked dirty, but they were nice enough to let us have our Yorkies there. The back yard was the beach. Which was very nice. The bed was very comfortable.

Exactly what we wanted

My family and I had a wonderful stay. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Being able to walk right out onto the beach with our two children ages 5 and 3 was perfect! We felt so welcomed with such a cute home feeling. Being able to bring my 10 year old dog jojo with was such a huge blessing. Highly recommend staying here!! We had the best time and will cherish the memories we made forever.

Since there are limited characters I'll keep this to the good vs. the not so good. I'll start off by saying that the best thing about this property is its location. The beach is your backyard! The owners have 3 other units in the same complex, so maybe that's why a number of things have been allowed to go downhill with this one.
Good: Location, spacious, nicely decorated, 2 parking passes, guest welcome binder with FAQs and local info, accepts pets, free wifi, 2 Cable TVs, stocked kitchen with plenty of appliances and utensils, beach umbrella / chair service (first come first serve), close to town, food, and entertainment, cleaning team were delightful.
Not so Good: Black mold in bathroom, on grout lines, and on popcorn ceilings near AC exhaust vents (images taken), dust around fan blades, vents, and visible under couches/chairs, non-functioning grill (we actually bought one for our 2 week stay and then left it there for others to use), external patio light broken-so no late night spades, hearts or UNO marathons :( , antique washer/dryer unit is in a closet outside the apartment (better off going to a local coin-op up the road).
We have a crawling/walking child with asthma and allergies, so the mold and visible dust collections were a real turn off. We swept the unit daily, but we still paid for the cleaning personnel to come twice during our 2 week stay just to refresh linens and take care of vacuuming / basic cleaning.
This unit just needs some T.L.C. and it could be so much better!! Remove the mold, replace the subway tiles/grout, change leaky shower head, get a working grill, replace the patio bulb/housing, and check the bubbling paint/repaint bathroom.
These are very basic items to address for a rental property, and I hope this motivates the owners to do what's best for the unit and give it the T.L.C. that is truly deserves. This really could be a beautiful gem!

This is a great place for beach bums. We stayed outside most of the time. We were able to walk inside for lunch and bathroom breaks and go right back to the beach. We had a great time!

Loved it
After a ck-in mixup. We had the best of times. My 87 year old mother wanted her last beach trip to be special and it was……. She loved the place so pretty and nicely decorated as well as all beach chairs and umbrellas just bring your clothes and food and make Great memories. We Did! Thank you for a great time and stay.

Cozy little place to stay
We enjoyed the time at the location. Inside was really nice and clean, comfortable and cozy. The only thing that could make this better would be an outdoor facelift but that was no problem for our family because we had a great time and very relaxing!!

Best ever beach access
Love the property and the location.
We had a screw up with management. The name of the property did not match our reservation. The phone number we had was no good. We did not have the right code for access to our condo. We were saved by Marietta....the epitome of the kindness of strangers...

Get-a-way Bliss
Our stay was perfect. Sunshine, warm weather, friendly encounters on the beach and at restaurants.
The rental was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.

We rented this property because of their first picture showing the view from the patio with cute furniture and a view of the beach and shoreline, our number one priority was to rent a property where we could sit outside and have a view of the beach, ocean & hopefully the sunset…the description and photos of this property said it had all three…IT DOES NOT! What you do have is a view of the back side of a sand dune, a 10’ elevated walkway access to the beach and 2 large garbage cans mounted on a wooden structure on the beach…you cannot see the ocean/beach, shoreline or sunset…also what you cannot do is “watch the dolphins in the morning and the sunset in the evening from your large patio “ the lead picture of their listing must have been taken years ago, and the photo in their listing of the sunset was taken from the elevated beach access structure, not from their property/total misrepresentation…and as far as the cute patio furniture in the photo, also not there, the patio table and “barbecue grill” both belong in the dumpster (the rusted out grill still has the ashes and grease in it from the last time it was used, probably a decade ago).
Otherwise the exterior of the building is very shabby and in need of much repair, blue tarp on the roof, peeling/discolored paint and stucco, windows with broken seals that need replacing and generally dirty and neglected grounds…most of these exterior issues are cosmetic but the outside light on both the front and back door that did not work I would consider a safety issue.
Inside was better, the unit had recently been painted but it should be known that the condo is very small, the owners list it as “sleeps 4” but that would be very difficult and uncomfortable…the sofa makes into a bed but there is not enough room to open it up, the picture of the living room in the listing is also not as it is now, there is a large round glass coffee table which takes up most of the room, not sure what you would do with that if you decided to open up the sofa…I read the reviews before booking and now after seeing this property am amazed at all the folks that thought this place was great, we certainly did not!

Everything was as advertised. Great location only complaint would be to replace or repair the bathroom pocket door. It won’t close all the way. Always had about a 6 inch gap

I can’t believe how lucky we were to find this place and at such a good price! It was the perfect little getaway for my husband, myself and our dog. It was clean, had cute decorations, the bed was really comfortable, and you cannot beat the location! And when it says you walk right out to the sand there is no catch, you are honestly right on the beach.
My husband and I were very impressed and definitely want to come back. The owner Paul was so patient and polite with us especially when I locked myself out of the condo and had to call him personally to give me the access code… Again. But a word of advice! The VRBO app is sometimes very slow or doesn’t deliver messages at all so if you haven’t heard back from someone you might just call instead. Happy vacation!

The outside could definitely be improved alot of trash around the building. But everything else was great. I took myself and my 3 kids (6,11,13) we loved the walk straight out of the back to the beach. Front door parking was awesome as well. None of us wanted to leave. We will be back and plan on adding extra days next time too. Thank you Paul for sharing you awesome little piece of paradise!
