Very clean with all the comforts of home. The swimming pools and property are well maintained and it's so nice to have an outdoor eating area. The owners are very quick to respond to questions.

The location is great, especially if you are on a cruise as you can watch your ship dock. The apartment is very dated but functional and clean. A couple of fold up sun beds would be great to have on the patio

We have just returned from a 21 day vacation at Baypoint .It was very relaxing and the weather was amazing.The 2 bedroom unit we had was great.Kept very clean by Dorothy and she also cooked some great breakfasts and dinners for us.Amazing meals. While on first entry to the unit our 14 y/o wasn’t thrilled with the furniture, there is absolutely no question that the meticulously maintained grounds of the Baypointe complex more than make up for any slightly dated aspects to the condo. This is a VRBO, not a hotel. You get to walk outside and chat with other ex-pats (and Jamaicans) that live in the complex. You can have breakfast at home, load up on snacks (we asked our taxi driver to stop at the market on the way from the airport so we could take a quick walk around and buy some goodies), and lounge around like you would at home on the patio looking at the boats go by. But you get daily cleaning, personally cooked meals and a concierge. Wait, this is a VRBO? If this place existed just as a regular VRBO it would be really good. But Dorothy is the icing on the cake. If Dorothy came in every day and just smiled and chatted without doing the dishes, making the beds, cleaning up and helping us arrange our taxi it would be amazing because she is just a sweet, wonderful woman with amazing stories to tell and advice to give. And then she cooks! Really whatever you want. Without question, the best meal we had our entire trip was Dorothy’s homestyle chicken. This is not a hotel. If you’re looking for a hotel/resort experience please pay the extra money and go to one. Some extra effort is required here to help coordinate your meals, take taxis to get to places and entertain yourself (and your 14 year old). However, if you are willing to put in the effort, you will absolutely love your vacation at Baypointe!

I absolutely loved my stay here! The detailed instructions were very appreciated. It felt like a second home. The house keeper also cooked my requested meals and they were good. The home is older and has character. I would rebook in a second with no hesitation.

I really enjoyed the stay in Jamaica. My son and I came and there was plenty of room for both of us. The housekeeper Dorothy was very nice and the food she cooked was delicious. Thank you for making my stay in Jamaica so pleasant. Dottie

We loved the property. The view, atmosphere, location, its proximity to everything (it was not in the middle of all the busy city activities), easy commute to and from the location and its safety (guest had to be verified before security allow anyone in). It was spacious and accommodated us comfortably. Both pools were great and were clean regularly. Be careful of the chemical that is used to clean the pool ... sometimes is spills on the edges around the pool and it will burn clothing (swimwear) if it gets on it. Access to the beach is walking distance, if you prefer to use it versus the pool. We have recommended this place to a few friends and family members, and some are looking to make reservations. The only small down-size was the helper. On day one she told us that she does not follow the information packet sent to us and we should not follow it. She was setting the stage. Her schedule was listed as 6 to 8 hours per day to prepare meals and housekeeping etc., since we were there greater than one week. She reported to work anytime between 10:30am - 11:30am and is out by 1:00pm Monday - Friday. We did have her prepare some small meals on some of the days that she came to the premises. We are pretty handy ourselves, so we cook our breakfast by the time she gets in, and sometimes we were on our way out the door by the time she gets there. Her tardiness and lack of action as indicated in the welcome package didn't really impact our stay - we just did things ourselves. We will definitely stay there again - we will be asking for a different helper.

THE PROPERTY WAS AS DESCRIBED ON VRBO IF NOT BETTER, THE PROPERTY OWNERS WHERE A GREAT HELP AND THE HOUSEKEEPER WAS A PLUS.I WOULD DEFINELY STAY THERE AGAIN, THE LOCATION WAS GREAT A SHORT WALK TO THE YACHT CLUB WHERE WE ATE AND DRANK A LOT MADE THE STAY WORTH WHILE. THANKS FOR ALLOWING US TO STAY IN YOUR TOWN HOUSE WILL BE BACK SOON.

Beautiful waterside location with lovely view of the water and marina. Pools were very convenient to the home. Security guard was helpful. Large kitchen with all items needed to cook your own meals. Plenty of green space for walking around the property. Views from the Gazebo were relaxing-- watching boats coming in and out of the docking area.

Beautiful views and wonderful food by Dorothy! We loved the gated security and quiet area of the apartment. The views were amazing and Dorothy’s cooking was absolutely incredible!! She was so helpful and so kind to our family! Her food tasted so good that we didn’t eat out at all! Loved having the washer and dryer so that we didn’t have to bring dirty clothes home. Having 2 full bathrooms was a huge plus with a teenager too! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and again Dorothy was the icing in the cake! This was the best trip ever. Mrs Dorothy was an excellent cook. She asked us what we needed and she delivered. This property had everything we needed. They will go shopping for what you want before you get there. This took a lot of stress off of us. They have a information book that list and explains basically everything you need to know. If it was not in the book as Mrs. Dorothy and she would help.

We were cheated out of a significant sum of money that we spent for an all-inclusive vacation through a third-party online booking service. Up until the day before our departure date for our Christmas vacation, we were certain that we would have none. We broke the bad news to our children, and it was now too late (especially because of the COVID-19 pandemic) to adequately plan for a suitable plan B, whether at home or elsewhere. Then we found this property on VRBO and our Christmas was saved at the eleventh hour. Everyone involved with this property was absolutely pleasant, polite, efficient and professional. Ms. Jennifer, the main contact, was prompt in reaching out to us immediately after we confirmed our booking. She probed to ascertain our needs and ensured that those needs were catered to. For example, because the property comes with a house staff who prepares our meals, among other duties, Ms. Jennifer offered to purchase groceries according to our specific/picky dietary needs. My wife and I are lacto-ovo, but our 19 year old twins consume meat. Ms. Jennifer was able to compile an exhaustive grocery list, Mr. Dear procured them and stocked the shelves and refrigerator, and we reimbursed him upon arrival. Needless to say, this was exceptionally generous of them and very convenient for us. Ms. Dorothy, our house assistant, was also the consummate professional. She prepared the most delicious meals and offered assistance with our other general needs with care and scrupulous attention. Our driver, Mr. Alton was equally competent, amicable and always punctual. Words cannot express how grateful we are for their extraordinarily excellent, personalized concierge service. The property is located just steps away from the beach, is very well appointed and comes with two swimming pools. Our experience here was first class and we rued the fact that we couldn't stay longer. I wish we had booked this amazing property in the first place, and we definitely will be returning here whenever we are staying in Jamaica again. Absolutely Five Stars!

We really enjoyed Dorothy and the services she provided. She did our shopping and cooked a fabulous dinner for us one evening. I recommend sending her your shopping list in advance because there isn't anywhere close by to purchase items. We ate at the Yacht club and Hard Rock Café, both were good, but a little pricey. Unfortunately you can't swim at the small beach on the property. The beach at the Hard Rock Café is nice, but small and there is a $4.00 fee for lounge chairs. It is a fair walk to get there as well. The complex is very quiet and secure, we had a lovely relaxing time there. I would definitely recommend it.

Dorothy cooked a wonderful meal the first night. We requested breakfast for the remaining time we stayed which Dorothy did beautifully. Dorothy is real a gem; she helped us with whatever we needed to make our stay more comfortable. We requested a driver to help us tour Jamaica without having to drive ourselves, Leroy was our driver and he took us wherever we wanted to go, he was great. The property was very spacious and nice for my family, we had everything we needed. It was nice to see so many beautiful orchids and the cruise ship that docked for the day. My family was sad to leave but will definitely be back. I will say you don’t need Jamaican dollars everyone pretty much accepts US.

This place gives me the home away from home, without the everyday stress that life can bring. The sounds of nature is all around, land and sea! Watching the sun rise with morning coffee is the best! I was at no time disappointed with my stay. Thanks Mr & Mrs Dear
