Love the location, love the city. This place was as described and very reasonably priced.

It was what was described. Enjoyed the little appartment .. and all of its amenities..perfectly location, and felt safe. Close to walk or a very short drive to fun stuff .. i will book again

I chose this property because of its proximity to Forsyth Park. As it turned out, the proximity from the craziness of River Street was perfect too - I was just far enough away from woo-ing bridal showers and loud bars. I got to go to those places and then return for a quiet evening. I walked everywhere which made for a perfect amount of exercise to work off all the delicious, rich foods I ate! And just two blocks from Forsyth Park let me enjoy the beauty of the park at both the starts and ends to my days. The only thing I missed were my dogs. I’m not sure why pets aren’t aloud, especially since the folks upstairs have dogs, but I would have loved to have had my dogs with me for the weekend.

This property was well situated for walking pretty much anywhere in Savannah. The parade route started just a couple of blocks away, but the neighborhood itself was quiet at night. The size was perfect for my sister and me, and finding street parking was very easy.

The outside area was still in winter mode. We would have enjoyed sitting outside if the seating area and landscaping had been cleaned for spring.

Although in the basement, it did not feel at all like a basement apartment. It was bright, and airy with high end features. The rental was spotless, close to a grocery store and just a few blocks from the free shuttle bus. If we return to Savannah, we will stay at Hall and Oaks.

We had a great stay in Savannah. The location is great and an easy walk to everything. Having a supermarket right across the street was also very convenient. My only negatives were that there wasn’t enough bedding for our family of 4 - there was only one pillow case in the extra bedding provided for the Murphy bed. Also, the instructions for checkin were a little confusing, the door to the apartment is located down the left side of the house, it is not at the main door to the house. This is not listed in any of the checkin information and it took us some time to work it out when we arrived late at night. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Savannah.

The property was clean, cozy and met our needs. We would recommend and would rent it again =)

Somehow we didn't realize it was a garden apartment which was a bit dark with little natural light (the short days around winter solstice didn't help). You also need to realize there are folks living above you in the main house so you will hear footsteps and their dog from time to time. Not a big deal but just so you are not surprised. The grocery store across the street was great; however we ended up driving 10 minutes to a Whole Foods to get prepared meals for lunch and dinner since the 'extras' condiments in the kitchen for cooking were only salt and pepper. Again, not a big issue, just so you are aware. The location was good - we walked just about everywhere in old Savannah. Trolley tour was great orientation to the city the first day. We also drove out to the old forts (Jackson and Pulaski) and a nature preserve/historic site called Wormsloe which had good hiking trails. Fun visit to part of country I had never been.

Cute and spacious basement apartment in beautiful Savannah historic district. My husband and I loved the city. VRBO right across the street from grocery store. Super cute coffee shop close by as well. Location was fantastic.

My family had a wonderful time in historic Savannah and the Garden Apartment was fabulous! Very cozy & quaint, with attention to details. The place was clean and comfortable! The only minor issue would be the fact we were unaware the entrance to the apartment was at the side of the property. (Oh, and there is a little dog above the apartment that liked to bark in the mornings) It would be helpful to have had that communicated before we arrived. Other than that, we would definitely come back and recommend to friends!

The property is very nice! It is walking distance to everything in the Historic District! Very quiet neighborhood! The added bonus is the Kroger across the street!

Wonderful experience! This company communicated quickly and efficiently! So happy with our experience! Upstairs residents were quiet. Kitchen is well stocked and this VRBO is tastefully styled and feels very roomy! 2 minute walk to Kroger and local coffee shop.

The place was as described with a few little things that you cannot help sometimes. The door code was incorrect but the situation was remedied while we stood at the property door. A few roaches that we purchased spray for and we were in the “garden” or basement area of the home so… Some mold and a really strong smell of it in the shower that I also sprayed well with Clorox which took care of the smell. The only huge issue was the construction we didn’t know about on both sides that started 6:30-7:00am for the 1st 3 days then it rained them out, whew! The secondary company did check it out but it was neighbor properties (would have been good to know before we rented). The unit had a separate bedroom and a Murphy bed that slept decently. The living room and kitchen area was a “V” shape and I liked that. Lots of things to use in the kitchen to cook with, gas stove/oven and large fridge but I don’t cook in vacation. No access to the garden area or side door (it must have been locked from the outside), so one way in and out. Never did see the trash outside but found a place down the street to dispose of garbage. There was a tiny washer and dryer so we washed towels and wash clothes several times. We were located just in front of Kroger so that was good. Street parking here was great and we never had an issue finding parking. Always parked in front of where we stayed. We were about 3 blocks walk from Forsyth Park and about 4 blocks to the DOT purple bus that runs downtown, but only until 7pm so we didn’t get to use it much because we were out later in the evening. We drove into town a lot this trip. It’s a fairly long walk to downtown from this unit (my hubs had complications after hip replacement so that much walking was not do-able for him). I would consider staying here again in the off season when the rates are cheap due to the added expenses. Normally when I rent through VRBO, it’s only VRBO that I deal with and PAY. This time, VRBO somehow contracted out or partnered with a local company and there was an additional charge that I haven’t figured out. Our stay ended up being $150 more than VRBO quote. So cleaning, I get, but I got service fee charges from VRBO and an extra charge from Lucky Savannah. When I first looked at it, our cost was very reasonable to me and I guess I did not read every single word that we would be charged separately, as we have used VRBO multiple times without these extra charges. I had to edit to remove costs.
