Negatives: some furniture broke, trees are too high at patio level that suppresses the lake view, oven door broke and stove burners kept malfunctioning, lighting in bathrooms, boat slip location-heavy lake traffic causes high wake at dock.

We paid top dollar for a great house and we thought we had it all. The views were great, but that's about where it ends. This house continued to let us down day by day. We paid 35$ to get in early only to find a huge hole in the cabinet with no dish washer. The pool table had a broken corner pocket, and the hot tub smelled like a sewer system with **** floating in the water. Its like they weren't even ready to have the house occupied but took our money anyways. To add insult to injury we continued to have the lights in the house go on and off. We talked to a guy that came into finally install a dish washer and he told us that the house has been reported to have an electrical short. Would have been nice to know. Then on Friday the dead bolt lock broke and so again we had to deal with an issue with a problem at the house. The last complaint was that the house shouldn't have internet because it never worked, and the I-pad on the wall skipped like crazy when playing the music over the speakers. Half of the apps needed to be updated and they could not without a password. So we had to try to sync our phones to the blue tooth. It was a mess. I feel that I paid a lot of money for a top of the line house and the more stones we overturned, the more problems we came across. Very disappointed and embarrassed for our guests.

Not long after being there we came across many issues (seemed to be new ones each day). The pool table corner pockets were hanging off therefore unable to be used. The indoor basketball game table was completely broken which ended up being removed. The master bathroom toilet (flusher) was broken. The A/C wall unit in the bedroom over the garage wasn't working. The master bedroom ceiling fan wouldn't turn on. The kitchen stove ignitor would click without stopping when trying to use it. The subzero refridgerator drawers would not get cold. The whole house iPad stereo system suddenly rang a high pitched noise out of no where and we had to disconnect it for the noise to stop. And we realized (after getting in) that the hot tub had not been serviced in quite some time. I will say that when we informed Taylor Made the day after arrival about the AC unit and the hot tub that they had repair men out IMMEDIATELY! We were so impressed with their prompt response. And the repair people were very pleasant! They fixed the A/C unit, brought box fans for the master bedroom, and drained and serviced the hot tub. They were already aware of the basket ball game, the pool table, and the stove issues. Apart from that, the main floor powder room does not have a lock on the door and this caused a few "embarrassing moments" for a few of us. And the bedroom that shares a bathroom with the master bedroom does not have it's own door. To top it off, about a week before arrival I received a phone call informing us that the community pool would be serviced the week we were there so we would be unable to use it. This came as a disappointment as this was one of reasons we chose this house for our family vacation. There were many disappointments especially for the what expected and how much we paid. Although beautiful and spacious, this home needs a lot of maintenance.

However, the dishwasher did not work and i had to wash dishes the entire stay. The master shower and kitchen sink needs to be calked for a fresh look, Lastly, the patio furniture should be covered when not in use so it does not have bird ... on it before it is usable and access to the table umbrella for shade. Otherwise my family and I had a wonderful time and plan to come back again real soon.

Reviewer Comments: While our first time to Deep Creek Lake, I am well seasoned in the process of selecting large rental homes for our annual family vacation. I do extensive research in hopes of finding a fair and accommodating realtor and the perfect vacation home for my family. I am not a prima Dona but expect certain things when I rent an "Elite" property at a moderate cost. I thought I found it with Taylor Made's "Top of the World" but faced these issues instead. First, not a big deal but uncomfortable none the less, was the cleaning agency was still working there 1 1/2 hrs after our check in time. Outside, the lawn was unkempt with trash under the trees & in the landscaping (including beer cans & cigarette butts). Shortly after arriving, we found a water leak coming through the ceiling of the garage. The 2nd day we discovered a problem with the stove and flames coming from the oven when turned on. The oversized hot tub would have been awesome had the cover not been torn allowing dirt and leaves to get in. After using it once, I came out covered in dirt and my grandson discovered a floating cigarette butt. I visited the realtor's office but felt the receptionist was dismissive & unwilling to fully listen. She kept her eyes downward to the computer & would interject "we can have someone look into that" while I attempted to speak about the issues. We fixed a loose toilet seat & sink plug in the master bath ourselves. We purchased our own skillet because the ones available were old, worn & disgustingly greasy. I bought a functioning broom & a mop to clean up after our little ones & to clean up glass that was left in the foyer. Maintenance came in to check the water leak but it was never resolved, the stove needed a part that never arrived, a new hot tub cover was installed Thursday & the lawn was never addressed. Despite the lack of pride in your properties & for those who rent them I had a great time with family & hope the issues have been resolved for any future renters.

The view alone, was UNBELIEVABLE!! Plenty of natural sunlight. "On Top of The World" lives up to its name and is definitely worth a visit! We will DEFINITELY frequent this house! Only problem was the maintenance in the house. Most of the toilets stopped working and we had to physically take the top off of the toliet in order to flush it. The bar to hang towel broke off after hanging my towel. Just a heads up for you guys. Everything else was spectacular !!
