The listing was mostly accurate and the location was excellent for the purposes of our stay. We had anticipated that we would be able to pay a fee for access to resort amenities, but that wasn't an option. After requesting more information we were told by the management company that the owner didn't choose to provide this for their guest - what?? This was a bit frustrating, but fortunately there is a lot of other options on Kiawah and we were able to get off island to go swimming in a pool. No beach amenities were provided (chairs, towels, boards) which seems like it would be very convenient given that is the primary feature of the island. Finally, we gave it a one because the stove wouldn't work and although we pointed this out early to the owner/manager, nothing was done. "You can call housekeeping" was the response. Housekeeping doesn't fix electric stoves that are fire hazards (the oven went to full broil only). Finally, we had many bugs - roaches and ants - the owners response was "we spray regularly". The first day we had to get ant traps and roach spray because of the dozens that we found scurrying around on the floor, walls and ceilings. Maybe you need to change your treatment company??? It doesn't seem like the owner cares much about the guests and really poor responses to inquiries. This is not our typical experience on VRBO. My recommendation would be to find another tennis villa (there are many options) that has more considerate owner.

This Villa did not disappoint! It had everything that we needed and was very spacious. The King size bed in the master was incredibly comfortable and what a beautiful room it was! Although we didn't needs to use the guest room, it as well, was beautiful. This was one of the cleanest, pet friendly, rentals that my hubby and I have ever stayed in. Being four legged parents, my husband and I always vacation on Kiawah with our dogs and this villa was by far the prettiest, cleanest one yet! My hubby and I are a little OCD when it comes to cleanliness (especially having dogs as our kids!) so it is always a pet peeve to have a clean rental, and this one passed with flying colors. You would not know walking in that it was pet friendly. This was our first time staying in Carol's villa, and as pleased and happy as we were...we will DEFINITELY stay there again. Big screen TV in the living area, comfortable couches and loungers and the kitchen was well equipped. The beach from the villa, was a little further than we usually stay but nothing a quick bike ride couldn't fix! A big plus is that Carol has bikes for those who stay there so there is no need to rent them! I spoke back and forth via email with Carol and few times and once on the phone and she answered all of my questions very quickly. Carol was very pleasant and a wonderful host and it was a treat to be able to stay in her beautiful villa!

We really enjoyed the stay at Kiawah!! Carol was quick to respond with any questions I had and we had a seamless check in process and stay. Close to the beach and sanctuary as well as night heron park. It brought back memories of spending summers there as a kid and I got to share the 4th fire works with my kiddos! Great coffee maker (because you have to have that with kids) and kitchen had all we needed to make it feel like home for the week. Thanks for the trip and stay. :)

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything is exactly as advertised and there are notes inside the unit that are very helpful. Everything was clean and we received access instructions well in advance! We loved that bikes were included as well. The only thing I missed was a balcony, but knew that there wasn't one.

The property was as advertised. It is adjacent to the tennis club and an easy walk to the Sanctuary. Having bikes to use was excellent and very nice to have to explore the island. Having a washer and dryer was critical! The facility was very clean and comfortable. The only issue was figuring out how to open the door. The property owner did assist (top knob).

Unfortunately my brother and family had the wrong code and couldnt get in for quite some time. With 5 people staying there, they ran out of hot water. So 2 people had very cold showers before the wedding!

No complaints. The only thing that would be better would be if it were a little closer to the public beach

Carol’s property was great for what it is - a beach home. Not terribly cozy or clean (saw cockroaches, ants, spiders) and had a few miscommunications with the host (she got our dates wrong and tried to charge us for an additional night!) as well as no paper towels or laundry pods, but thankfully those were brought the next day. Overall a fine place for our family for the week in our beloved Kiawah.

Nice spacious clean property centrally located. We found the TV connections a bit confusing, but we finally worked around it. We are not that savvy with on-line access, and being from Canada our provider offered no service. Lots of wildlife, alligators galore sunbathing by the river, keep your pets and kids away from that Kiawah River. We had an ant invasion the first morning, perhaps our fault as we should have been more cautious not leaving any open food ,or pet food closed, or stored in the fridge. After that we spotted an infrequent one here and there. No concern. The air conditioning, heat and internet worked like a charm. There even is a land-line that we never used. Minutes away from all that this are has to offer. All in all a 5/5, notwithstanding the minor stuff, this is great VRBO experience.

We enjoyed our stay here and took advantage of the central Kiawah location. The beach is an easy walk from the condo and our dog enjoyed off leash freedom (off-season). Most days, we stopped to enjoy morning coffee at the Night Heron market. Several times we rented bikes at the Sanctuary, then rode them on the trails out to Ryder Cup lounge at the Ocean Course, where we enjoyed lunch and cocktails, or down to Fresh Fields to pick up some groceries.

Loved it all. Especially the recliner chairs!

The home is clean and accomidating. The island on which the home is located has a lot to offer, and the location of this VRBO allows the greatest use of all the island has to offer: a short and beautiful walk to the beach and Sanctuary (shops and restaurants), and the included bikes allow immediate access to the bike trails and nature preservation areas on the island. We would definitely rent this place again!

We've been coming here for several years--great location, well stocked, clean. Although we didn't use the bikes this time it is nice to have them available.

Our stay at the property was what we wanted. Something affordable on an awesome island. This is something I would consider doing again. Carol helped my first booking with VRBO be a great experience. Thanks Carol!

My wife & I had a good week in Kiawah. The listing for the condo accurately portrayed the reality. Loved the proximity of the great beach, and the supplied bikes made for some awesome beach biking. We’re definitely planning a return visit!

We had a great stay at a very lovely villa near the tennis courts. The villa was well stocked and in a great location. We were very pleased with our time there.

Everything from booking to check in was a breeze, and we were happy to be able to bring our small dog along. We only had to rent a bike for our 8 year old since the villa had bikes in its storage area. My 5 year old especially loved the “trail a bike” that we hooked to one of the adult bikes! The villa’s location is great - very close to bike paths, The Sanctuary, and East Beach tennis. We look forward to returning!

Loved the villa! First time going to Kiawah and we will definitely be back. The bikes were an added bonus but need a little work (the seats would not adjust correctly and one tire was flat). Other than that absolutely perfect! The kitchen has all needed down to the coffee filters for making coffee!
