Wonderful self sustaining eco-lodge in the midst of a rural setting….the family are gracious hosts and the simple satvic vegetarian food is delicious….

A sustainable minded home stay in a beautiful location. An owner with an amazing ideology of reshaping and improving the travel experience in this region. I am inspired and admire all that is Apani Dhani. comfortable beds, delicious food made with ingredients grown on site, solar power technology, clean, safe, and a vision of more ideal of way to live.

Everything! The place, the visionary eco-friendly project, the family who run the business, their inspiring values, the rooms, the gardens, the tasty food with home-grown organic ingredients...

The atmosphere was great and their eco-lifestyle is more genuine (setting a fantastic example for both Indians and travelers alike). The optional food included nice home-cooked dishes. The optional tour was fantastic for seeing the countryside and attractions other than havelis (although a bit lacking in terms of specifics if you're after historical content). The old Ambassador was a nice touch. Hot water bottles were great for keeping cozy in the cold. Location was great for exploring the beautiful town of Nawalgarh on foot.

Check-in staff were helpful but not overly enthusiastic (we understand that the normal staff were away during our stay). It would have been great to have a small tour of the gardens etc to see the eco operations. The bathroom gets icy cold in winter.
