We had a nice time with friends and family. The bunk bed room works great for kids. The location is right across from the beach, and I especially appreciated the reverse osmosis water filter, making the tap water taste great.

Awesome vacation rental experience!
We were a family of eight. 6 Adults, 9yo & 15yo.
Upon first getting to the house the location was perfect being just steps from the sand then a few more to the beach! This allowed for a beautiful view of the sunrise & a beautiful view of the ocean from the second floor deck. The house is beautifully decorated with the beach vibes everywhere. It was exceptionally clean & stayed cooled the whole stay. The main living area/kitchen area are very open & welcoming to having family socializing as you prep/cook meals. If you choose to cook your own meals the amazing oven is a treat along with a ginormous fridge for all you grub! The host have ensured the kitchen is truly well stocked with everything you need to make a delicious meal. And as others have mentioned the ice machine is a lifesaver. We also used the outdoor grill which worked great. The beds were perfect for all 6 adults, comfortable & plenty of pillows. And the bunks were spot on for the kids. The pool was just the right size & I loved the decor they chose for the pool. The bathrooms were perfect! TVs in every bedroom/living area were a plus. Internet service worked with no problems. Plenty of outdoor eating, sitting & just lounging spaces. Plenty of towels, pool/beach toys, boogie boards & a durable wagon to take those extras to the beach.
Bill & Linda we’re superb host. They provided all the info I needed prior to the trip & were prompt to answer any questions I had via text, phone or email. They were very accessible. My whole family truly enjoyed this very cozy & welcoming home. The kids especially loved the pool for late night quiet swims. Thank you to Bill & Linda for allowing us to enjoy it.

The house was big and spacious and in a perfect location right across from the beach access. It is equipped with ample items for the beach and for your stay. Although the listings pictures do seem to be outdated as there is a new house right across the street that blocks 2/3 of the beach view. We would have given it a higher rating review if it had not been for the privacy issues the last night of our stay, the jacuzzi jets not working and the swimming pool being somewhat murky. The Host has a neighbor friend reporting every person/car coming and going of guests and they have cameras surrounding the entire property that were not disclosed in the listing as per VRBO policy. We were given prior approval to have additional family members over for dinner and to hangout by the pool (never stayed the night) but was cut short at 9pm due to the hosts bombarding us with calls to say they were watching us and we would have to make everyone leave or they were calling the cops. Little to our surprise when we were escorting our family out there were cops sitting outside. Nothing was said as there was no loud noise or party going on, it was a family gathering for dinner by the pool.

The week was enhanced with beautiful weather. The property owners were very attentive to our needs and willingness to respond to any concerns. The property was unique. For us older family members we enjoyed the deck and Oceanview. The younger crowd enjoyed the pool and outside deck with a large sitting area. The location was just perfect for either walking or driving to sitesee. Would recommend highly.

We have stayed at this house twice with extended family for Easter weekend. The house is well appointed and the location can’t be beat! Plenty of room and beautiful ocean views. The owner is very responsive to any questions we had during our stay. We can’t wait to return to this special property.

Clean, well- proportioned house for a family gathering. It’s well maintained, has premium appliances and comes with all the necessities needed for a beach vacation. It’s across the street from the beach and has its own pool with plenty of shade and chairs to get out of the sun but not the water; owners are readily available to answer any questions. We’ll be staying here again.

Great place to stay! Rock on the porch, drink your coffee and watch the sun rise over the beach. Super clean and AC kept all the rooms cool. Loved the ice maker, Blackstone grill, pool, and well equipped kitchen. Decor was beach perfect!

This home is truly cozy and has such a fun vibe. It has excellent access to the beach as well as outdoor vantage points for people watching and gathering with family. We had the best time gathering with family both in the indoor and outdoor common areas of the property. The house has all you need to enjoy a perfect beach vacation including umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards, water hoses for rinsing sand and even an outdoor shower. The inside accommodations are just as plentiful. The owners, Bill and Linda put the property over the top as they go out of their way to ensure a perfect stay. Bill was always available if we needed something. Of note, there is no crib, but instead a pack-n-play. We will definitely look into rebooking if we get the chance to return to SPI!

Beautifully decorated home away from home! Had all the amenities one needs when away. Our main goal was to go to the beach which was conveniently just right across from where we stayed. My family and I had a wonderful time.

This is a great house with great appliances (subzero fridge, beautiful Italian gas range, ice maker) and tons of kitchen tools, pans, and incredible Fiesta dishes. We loved the pool and the great ocean views. The storage shed has more beach chairs than you will ever use, beach umbrellas, cart to haul everything, and wheeled cooler. This was the best equipped house we have stayed in! Bill and Linda are helpful and responsive. The spiral stairs might be a challenge for some folks, but the outside staircases are good substitutes to get to main floor. Also if kids are in your group, you might move some of the many breakable decorative items to save some stress. We did this by placing them in an end table trunk and just carefully put them back before we left. This also freed up a long sideboard for buffet service. One other thing to note is that no grilling is allowed on the premises, and most beach people will want to know that before they arrive with steaks or dreams of grilling your fresh catch. If you have an opportunity to stay in this beautiful house, go for it!

My family of four plus grandparents had a great stay! The house was immaculately clean and had so many wonderful amenities that made our visit worry free. We stayed over a busy holiday week and really enjoyed the privacy of the shaded pool and back yard during busy beach times. Our kids ages 9 and 12 loved swimming in the pool and enjoyed all the beach toys and boogie boards. The adults loved the easy beach access and lovely balconies with views. The house had great space for everyone to spread out and have privacy. We loved cooking in the kitchen for most of our meals and the ice maker and extra beverage fridge were added bonuses. The house is in a great location close to everything but farther from the big hotels and busy night scene. Bill and Linda were very attentive throughout the booking process and helpful with a few questions we had during our stay. We will definitely return here on our next visit to SPI!

I just want to say that my family said it was the best vacation ever!! We had such a great time at South Padre Island!! It was all of ours first time, and Dos Suenos was the best beach rental we ever had!! It was cosy and warm, just like I would have my own beach house. It accommodated all 14 of us with plenty of room. It was really nice to be 40 steps from the beach and also have a pool and Jacuzzi right there on the property. Every night was a volleyball match with the family, and cooking out and just relaxing on the deck with a glass of wine. The beds were really comfortable and we really enjoyed having ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The kitchen was roomy and the appliances where awesome. The bathrooms were great, with plenty of towels for everyone. Bill and Linda were great to work with, and I appreciate their help with all the questions we had. The upper deck was great to watch the fireworks on Friday night. The only thing was that the grill needs to be checked, just because the fire was pretty high. Maybe take a look at it. We don't use a propane grill, maybe that had something to do with it, but my husband kept it low, and the flames were still pretty high. Everyone loved the house, and it was nice to get together again after 11 years. If we go back to South Padre Island, we would definitely rent this house again.

I can't say enough about our stay at "DosSuenos"! My multigeneration family (ages 6 to 68) spent a week there and wish it could have been longer. The home had absolutely everything we needed and many unexpected extras. All beds were very comfortable and the kids loved sleeping together in the bunk room. The walk to the beach was much easier and shortrr than some beachfront condos we have stayed in. The owner was most helpful and very nice to work with. I highly recommend this unit and plan to return in the future.

My family and a group of friends (10 of us total) spent several nights at Dos Suenos in SPI. The location was absolutely amazing! The house sits on Gulf Street directly across from the public beach access. This is perfect because you don't have the "beach traffic" in your backyard. After a long day on the sand you can relax on one of the two decks at the house. The first deck has a great view of the water. The second deck has a better view of the water but also the beach activity. We ate dinner on the upper deck our last night there. The bunk room was perfect for our teenage boys. They were able to have their own private quarters with their own access to the pool and hot tub. The kitchen was amazing! Perfect for cooking dinner our first night and breakfast every morning. The owners, Bill and Linda, have been truly amazing to work with throughout our entire vacation. When we arrived at the house Bill walked me through every little thing the house had to offer (via phone). Even when we had trouble connecting to WiFi he was great texting me back and forth trying to trouble shoot. Overall the accommodations and entire experience felt like we were really in a friend's home. I would HIGHLY recommend Dos Suenos!!

We loved staying at the well appointed beach home. It had a great amount of space for us to enjoy with our children and our friends. It is truly steps from the beach which made it ideal and easy to go back forth throughout the day. Having the pool was a HUGE plus for us as well. The kitchen was well stocked and the table allowed us to layout meals and food for all the house guests. We also enjoyed the beach chairs and pool toys. The owners definitely made it easy for us to enjoy our time at the beach!

Dos Suenos is a beautiful and unique home, where my Family and I have made some lasting,
lifetime memories ! Dos Suenos is located in a perfect setting, just steps from the beach. My family has gathered at Dos Suenos multiple times, and our children are always asking....."when we can go back" ?
This private home of Bill and Linda's, is well maintained, and beautifully decorated inside. The moment you first walk in, you see the bright colors, and feel the luxury. You know that you have chosen the perfect place for your Family Vacation !
There are many local places to listen to live music, but our favorite place is the little beach bar, named The Wanna Wanna. In two minutes, you can walk from Dos Suenos to Wanna Wanna, to see live music, eat fresh shrimp, and grab a cool beverage ! Now that is Living !!!
From the Brownsville Airport, you can literally be at this wonderful beach home in 35 minutes !
Just writing this review makes me want to go back to Dos Suenos NOW !! :)

My family and I had the pleasure of renting this house for a full week in July this year! Wow, what a place! It is in perfect location of the beach plus has its own private pool with spa! The house is also in perfect proximity to the island. Right down the street is the Wanna Wanna bar where you can enjoy live music and a cocktail on the gulf side. On Saturday nights you can sit on the front deck top or 2nd floor and look to the left and enjoy fireworks that Clayton's puts on. My family and I enjoyed evenings sitting on the deck listening to the ocean and watching the waves roll in. If you are looking for a great place to stay that has everything to offer in a house, this is the place. My family and I will definitely return!

Our family really enjoyed Do Suenos. The pool and hot tub were great to have, even though we were so close to the Beach. We cooked most of our food on the grill in the back, and the large concrete table in the kitchen served us well as a gathering place for meals and conversation. We sat on the front deck at night and listened to the music from the Wanna Wanna and watched the tourists while strumming our guitars, just like the Jimmy Buffet song. The beds were very comfortable and we slept great. After a day in the Sun, we would drive over the bridge in the afternoon and pick up some shrimp at Joe's Gulf Seafood Market and Oyster bar, or some fresh caught Red Snapper, go home and grill up big skewers of Jumbo Gulf Shrimp and hot peppers, Or fish, and eat as much as we could. The beach was great too, house had plenty of beach chairs and we used them, but having the amenities at Dos Suenos really spoiled us.(Ice machine, Big fridge, commercial gas stove, decent pots and pans, on and on) Thanks for a great time!

The home is exactly like it is represented in the photos. Beautifully decorated, clean, and equipped with everything you will need. The pool area was awesome! So nice not to have to share with other tenants.
I would highly recommend Dos Suenos for a wonderful vacation!! The Wansings were very easy to talk to and wanted all to be great for us.

It was our first time visiting SPI and we had a group of 9 adults who flew in from all over the country. The description and pictures don't do this home justice - it is even nicer and more luxurious in person! We loved the open floorplan on the main level, which included a huge kitchen table that we used for eating, playing games, and just chatting (it seats 10 and was a perfect gathering spot for our group). All the bedrooms were comfortable and private as well. The outdoor space was just as fantastic as indoors. The huge wrap-around deck on the main level had rocking chairs in front of the house (perfect for watching the waves) and a big table, grill, and seating arrangement in the back overlooking the pool.
Dos Suenos is the only place we want to stay when we're in SPI!

We recently stayed here with friends and family for my 50th birthday, and I can't recommend this place highly enough. The main floor is a perfect gathering place, the bedrooms are beautifully appointed, and there are so many thoughtful touches in this home - our stay was perfect. Whether it's rocking on the front porch watching the sunrise as the waves roll in, or curling up with a good book on the sofa on the back porch, or lounging in the hot tub or pool (after walking the beach of course) this is a perfect beach getaway. Will definitely return!
