It was a lovely stay for my family we were just one street away from my sister. Only minor issue was we could only find one remote for the TV

First time in the Cape, and the location was outstanding for seeing all the sites, but still having an extremely child-friendly (calm) beach and great restaurants and shops nearby. House is set up very well for 2 families. Cons- no dishwasher, upstairs bathroom shower is small and no tub, no air conditioning (plenty of fans and windows though). When sitting on the carpet, I got a faint whiff of dog and had pet hair stuck to my pants. Pros- in addition to above, house is extremely well stocked with books, games, outdoor/beach toys and chairs for the kids; has some basic cooking ingredients and spices; very nice that it wasn’t just a starter set of paper towels, TO, etc. The house had everything we needed. Hosts very responsive. Nearby Skaket Beach is fantastic for young children. We had a wonderful stay.

We booked this for two families plus my older father to celebrate his 80th birthday. It was large enough for us all to spend time together inside or have space outside to spread out. Not fancy, but everything was to a good standard. Outdoor shower is always nice to have.
The main feature is location, a short walk to Skaket beach or the rail trail. House is on a quiet private street that feels secluded, but a very short drive to stores, restaurants and the Firebirds baseball field. Nauset Beach also close if you want an ocean side beach. We were happy with it and would stay there again

Our family really enjoyed our week. The house was very comfortable and walking distance to Skaket beach. The beds were very comfortable!

This was our second year at this house. Both times parents, grandparents and children were really able to relax and enjoy ourselves. The location is super convenient; easy walk to a great beach and short drive to the town and shopping.
(The only thing missing is a dishwasher.)

We had a very comfortable long weekend near Skaket Beach. The property was well equipped and comfortable. The kids loved the table games, board games, and vintage books!

Great house, great location and really great hosts! The house was stocked up so far beyond my expectations, with very thoughtful items. And comfortable beds! We had so much fun taking our dog out onto the flats at Skaket beach!

We really enjoyed our stay in early September. Checkin was easy and the home was fairly clean. The house was well situated, close to the beach, and had all the beach and kitchen supplies that we could ever need. The house was even toddler proof with baby proofing supplies provided. This is a perfect place for young children and families with babies. We did have to refill the propane tank for the grill, but the hosts do reimburse for the refilling the tank. Beds were average and several of the mattresses should probably be replaced as they sink down quite a bit in the middle.
Overall, lots of space to enjoy time together! We loved the fire ring, screened in porch, and toys/games. Definitely a family friendly choice!

Our two families enjoyed staying at this home during the week before Labor Day. The layout is great with two bedrooms on each floor, allowing for our families to be separate at bed time but together in the living room during play time. The dining room and adjoining screened-in room made meal time seating easy. The kitchen was charming and well stocked. We didn't have any rainy days, so we didn't take advantage of the basement with its ping pong table, boxing bag and darts. We did take advantage of the beach chairs, cart and umbrella.
The best part was the location. We could take a short 10 minute walk down to Skaket beach for swimming, sunset and/or star gazing. Accessing the rail trail is about half a mile ride. Driving into Orleans for groceries was almost shameful given how close it was to the house.
Lisa is a superb host, promptly answering all of our questions and ensuring everything was perfect. We would stay again!

Great home in a great location. The home had everything you need. Loved having breakfast on the screened-in porch each morning. My son loved the outdoor shower. The teens could go to the beach on their own with just a 10 min walk. We had easy access to many great places on the Cape. Bike trail nearby. Great value. Very comfortable stay.

Perfect Week!
My family has long loved this part of Cape Cod. Skatet Beach is very friendly to young children who are learning to get comfortable in the water. The house itself was all we could hope for and more. The upstairs bedrooms were bigger than we expected. The back yard offered a great space for kids to play. The screened porch would have gotten more use, except the evening breezes kept the bugs away, so we tended to be outside. There were plenty of rooms so we never felt cramped for space. We lucked out with perfect beach weather every day! We all hope to return to Gull Lane soon.

Great location, very family friendly
Our family and a handful of late teens had a great week! The house had everything we needed and the vintage stove worked perfectly. Very close to Skaket Beach and a short drive to Nauset. Love that sheets and an assortment of towels were included.

Wonderful Beach House
Orleans is just the ideal Cape Cod area and this house is in the perfect spot to enjoy all the great locations of the Upper Cape. It is an older house that is terrifically well maintained and cared for. Well-equipped and furnished with all you might need even including a top rate ping pong table! We took advantage of the short walk to the beach, wonderful neighborhood walks and easy access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. There are many nature conservation areas (local and state) and the National Seashore sites not too far a drive away. Lisa and Dennis were very responsive to our inquires and they were easy to work with. Certainly recommend this house.

Great location!
We stayed in this house in April. We had 8 people from ages 5 to 85. The house had two bedrooms downstairs which was perfect for the older people in our group. The bedrooms upstairs are very big and everyone had space. This is an older house so it is not in pristine condition, but with that said it is a perfect house for a family with active children. I did not have to worry about my grandson breaking anything expensive.
The yard is a very good size and the shed had activities. My grandsons tried out everything. We wanted badly to have a campfire but the winds were blowing the whole week we were there.
I picked this house mainly because the basement seemed like it would be an awesome place for the grandsons, but they were not impressed with it. Which was fine because then they spent more time out in the yard.
Location makes this house great. We were close to the beach. We had many options of restaurants close by to pick up food to bring back to the house. Shaw's in a short drive.
The kitchen is small but we did manage to cook Easter dinner. There is an air fryer which we used daily. The kitchen had everything we need except for a meat thermometer and a shot glass. Sad that the first thing I needed to find was a shot glass!
When we arrived all the beds need to be made up. There were plenty of sheets and pillow cases. My biggest problem was there were only a few wash clothes so I found myself running a load of laundry everyday. The bathroom supplies were the best of any house I have ever stayed at. Shampoo, conditioner, wipes, toothbrushes and paste. Anything you keep in your bathroom was there. And enough toilet paper it reminded me of the Covid day shortages when everyone stock piled!
When you arrive if you look for the lock box it is small and not on the door. At first we could not find it but we managed to find the lock box in the shed. So the lockbox is very small and it is on the farthest post on the porch away from the door. I finally saw it on day 2!
There are plenty of beach towels and chairs. We managed to build a sandcastle using the supplies in the shed. We cooked steaks on the grill.
We would stay in this house again. It was easy communicating with Lisa using the VRBO app.

Very good location. Easy to get to. Place was well stocked with bedding add-ons, utensils, board games, and personal items. The only problem some of us had was with the soft mattresses.

The house seemed larger in person, perhaps because of all the sleeping space. Three of the four bedrooms had multiple beds and dressers without feeling crowded at all. Or maybe it was the screened in porch where we ate most of our meals? It was not cluttered, yet had every little detail you might want or need! There are lots of beach toys and chairs in the shed, a basement full of fun games (table hockey, ping pong, magnetic dartboard, etc.) and a hutch full of games (vintage and contemporary). We went to skaket to watch the sunset a few nights…what a delightful ritual! Monday nights there’s a band a Nauset with food trucks which was also fun. We bought a beach pass for the week which is good at both Skaket and Nauset, and we bounced back and forth between them. We had a few kids visit who easily walked to skaket (with an adult since no shoulder). Skaket was great for kids even in light rain, and the outdoor shower was the perfect way to end each beach day. Lisa was so attentive to any questions we had. We are grateful for a relaxing vacation!

Casual, fun place to stay
We enjoyed our stay. We were provided everything we needed and more. I was able to enjoy a casual bike ride because bikes were provided! We loved the firepit. My brother and his wife had the 2nd floor and we had the first floor. Plenty of privacy. Quiet neighbors. Convenient to the grocery store. Would stay again.

The host was so so so communicative and accommodating. We stayed off season (mid-may) and was super transparent that a few things were still in the get ready process (new grill and patio table weren't ready, missing some screens) -nothing that would have bothered my group anyway but it was lovely that they were up front about it. The house is so cute and cozy very much as described. Although it is walking distance to the beach there isn't a sidewalk so those with littles may not want to walk. (We just drove, it was 2 minutes) the beach is breath taking. Went at sunset and it did not disappoint. Ordered take out from the rock harbor grill which was delish and close by. Also just a 5 min drive away is a Shaws, liquor store and a drug store. All the conveniences but with the house nestled in a private way you'd never know that was nearby. Took a day trip to Provincetown as suggested (40 min drive) which was so fun! After we left I realized I left a card and a magnet collage behind that my college friend of 20 years made me. I sent a message and Lisa mailed it out the next day. (thank you so much again!) We had the best time and would definitely rent again.

We all loved everything about this home!!
This was our family's favorite ever VRBO rental. Our family of 4, along with our invited friends (a mom and her son), loved the yard, the space, the short walk to the beach. Everything you could want for fum and relaxations was there, including hula hoops, beach toys, chairs, bikes, wagons, ping pong. The space is comfortable and clean and pretty, somehow it felt warm without feeling like you are in someone else's personal space. We hope to come back every year! The beds are very comfortable, the neighborhood is pretty, and Skaket is our favorite bay side beach.
