We were 9 guys on a guys trip and wow what a fantastic cabin nestled in the bottom of a beautiful mountain resting on the Coosawattee River. The home was clean and perfect, plenty of room to spread out with a lot of beds. The pictures truly don't do the home justice as It looks so much better in person. Just a short trip to town for good dining, shopping and many activities. We did paint ball in Blue Ridge at Blue Ridge Paint Ball which was very fun. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary cookware, clean bed sheets, nice clean towels, etc. Cell service is not that great here however the WIFI worked well with all 9 of our phones plus the TVs and other WIFI capable technology on property. We hope to be back one day!

Very quiet, beautiful cabin next to the river. Has many activities for kids to do and the whole family had an awesome time.

We rented both lodges for our group. Everything was perfect! We came here last year and enjoyed it so much that we rented the sister cabins again.
Sarah and Ian are great hosts, easy to communicate with, and very helpful with any additional questions and requests. We highly recommend Riverstone and Rocky River Lodge.

We enjoyed the Riverside Lodge. It was spacious and had a great view of the river. I would recommend following the instructions the owners give to access the lodge. It is a much easier mountain ride. The driveway is steep and scary at first, but definitely doable. We had SUVs and sedans and all could go in and out of the driveway with no problem. We enjoyed the kayaks, pool, ping pong, puzzles, and basketball court. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space. We were able to watch the football and baseball games. A helpful tip….To make the shower work on the main floor and basement, you pull down from the knob where the water comes out. We had three families with three children ages 14, 15, and 2 and everyone enjoyed the cabin. We built outdoor and indoor fires. It was a wonderful trip. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

This was the most amazing place. We brought our high school summer baseball team and they still have not stopped talking about this place and how much fun they had. So much to do and entertain. Being in the river was so incredible. We just sat out by the river and enjoyed every minute of our stay. It’s so big we never felt on top of each other either. Thank you very much!!!

house was clean, it is smaller than what pictures show, grill would not work, so we tried to call the numbers listed, and no one answered either of the numbers to call, had it been a real problem not sure what we would have done. my main dislike was the signs posted all over the house (inside and out) made it feel like a youth detention center, not a relaxing mountain get away. The most appalling signs were the ones on every toilet lid in the house. I mean, you have to be an adult to rent the property, please have a little respect for your guest. I rented the house for our trip, and i was embarrassed by the stickers. also take Tp with you, when they say limited, them mean what is left when others leave, we barley had enough for the first day and only had 10 people. drive from gate to house was long, so no quick trips to town. one nest chair on top deck needs replaced, and some other stuff was very worn out, also wound be nice to have some bowls with lids in the kitchen and some knives that are sharp. but the river and the hot tub and game room were very nice. all in all we had a nice time at the house.

Great place and great location… coolest part of this place is space and the fact that you open any window and you could hear the water! Amazing!

Great property. Beautiful set up. The book is outdated on how to get internet. Need some new basketballs and pool stick tips. Little unnerving about all the signs on how to lose your deposit everywhere. But overall after the internet problem was fixed it was a great rental!

We enjoyed our stay and love that the house in right on the river. Always enjoy constantly hearing the peaceful sounds of the river.

My family absolutely loved this cabin and the Riverside setting! Plenty of room for kids to run and play, along with convenient porches/balconies to observe the family fun and locksmith scenery. The peaceful sound of the rising river was also a family favorite!

The owners are very friendly and reaponsive to our questions. The cabin was the perfect size for our family which was 7 adults and 4 kids 4 and under… The wood burning fireplace was a great asset to this cabin… we had a fire almost the entire time we were there… The tv in the great room was kind of small and had limited channel viewing wish we could have viewed netflix there but we had to watch it in the master bedroom. The windows had many little handprints on inside and spiderwebs on the outside which we understand. There were many dead bugs in the dining room glass light shade. The showers were great and the beds slept fantastic. Ian was very helpful when we had issues trying to get in at the guard shack. Loved the swinging bed out on the porch. Great for enjoying the river sounds and reading.. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and made many a meal in the cabin. We even grilled numerous times. We would rent this property again.

Perfect home on the river. House has all the river toys you could ask for. Place was clean and cozy, my family loved it and would definitely stay again.

Beautiful view of the river- beds were extremely comfortable & hot tub was very clean. We especially loved the fire pit by the river and the boats provided to use on the river. You can drive about 10 minutes up the road to put in kayaks, then float back to the cabin. Gorgeous trip and the shoals make it interesting. Plenty of space for everybody!

We rented both cabins for a church retreat. It was a perfect place for our group. Each cabin is spacious and has for the most part all you need to cook your own meals. The driveways are steep indeed as described but all our vehicles made it back up without problems. We hope to return next year.

We had 12 of us stay at this awesome cabin! We had more than enough room for everyone and with all of the activities they had at the cabin we always had something to do. If we come back to the area I will for sure stay here again.

This is a beautiful place, especially if you have a large family. There's definitely enough room for everyone. The driveway is a little bit difficult, especially after rain but we managed it all was fine. I definitely would be aware if you're not an experience tuber or kayaker. The river is a difficult one. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. The property owner was fantastic to deal with and the location is great and my family thoroughly enjoyed their long weekend here. Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your property!

Great place to get away. Right by the river with lots of deer and wildlife on the drive from front gate to the property. House stocked with lots of games, pool table, out door fire pit, and lots of porch space, rockers, and swings. Great owners also

We had a wonderful time at Riverstone Lodge! Owners were great, and when they realized we didn't have kitchen rags, we were brought some. We loved all the things there were to do right there at the lodge.

Our group of high school buddies just got back from our sixth straight reunion/trip to Riverstone Lodge. The property was great as always--kitchen, living area, balconies, and riverfront. There is now very fast wifi that is new this year, which greatly enhanced the experience for those who needed to do some work on their computers.
Our group tubed the Coosawattee from the Villa Dr/Beaver Creek Road put-in a few miles upriver from the lodge. It is about a 2.5 hour float down to the lodge and is highly recommended.
We will be back!

Wonderful cabin on the river with everything you can ask for
We’ve been renting various cabins in the Georgia mountains for the past few years, and this was definitely our favorite! Can’t beat the location on the Coosawatee river, which the kids really enjoyed playing in. Plenty of room for everyone and lots of activities to keep everyone busy. Note that the driveway is quite steep, but it is paved so that helps. The owners were great communicators and helped immediately when we had an issue on check in due to a blackout that had occurred earlier in the day arising from some work the power company was doing in the area. The only blip was that we arrived to a note from housekeeping saying that the electricity was out when they were there and they had to sweep instead of vacuuming and to clean partly in the dark, which showed. This was not the owner’s fault but kept me from giving five stars for cleanliness, which I’m sure I normally could have given, giving how wonderful everything else was and how conscientious the owners were. Would definitely rent this cabin again.

Cabin was beautiful! Lots of room for everyone to spread out. The river was a huge hit for kids & adults alike. Tubing down the river was so fun. There are some tubes, but depending on size of group you may need to bring your own. The cabin is about 15 minutes into the community, lots of twists & turns of course. Tons of deer all along the roadway. The driveway is steep as mentioned, but we had no problems. Communication with owners was great. Highly recommend! We would definitely stay here again.

16th Birthday Getaway
We used this beautiful cabin as a retreat for my daughter’s 16th birthday. We couldn’t have asked for more. There were so many things to do, I almost wished we had booked for the summer so we could take full advantage of the river. (we probably are going to do that some time soon) There was a store not to far for us to get fire wood and it was exactly as it was listed. The outside swing bed was also a great touch, especially with the spectacular view! I recommend this property for anyone looking to getaway on a rustic retreat with people you love. You won’t regret it!

Property had lots to do, lots of seating space & sleeping arrangements. The canoes were fun and our kids loved the basketball court/hot tub. We wished we could have used the fire pit & badminton but there was no wood for the fire or “birdies” to play badminton with. I would recommend bringing some of your own!
Property manager was very nice, would stay here again.

Wonderful cabin on the water, great stay! Couple of things not mentioned in listing: community is quite large, approximately 10-20 minutes to get out of community from cabin. Driveway is VERY steep. Also there are visible neighbors on both sides (one photo in listing shows Arial view with only trees surrounding), although we did not see neighbors at all. Also, numerous nest type cameras surrounding outside of cabin. Being waterfront was great, we enjoyed the Foosball table and pool table!! The beds were comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay!
P.S. if you decide to canoe down river there are numerous rocks, it's doable but our kids were not fans

Just got home from a 4 night stay at the River Lodge. It was everything we hoped it would be! Plenty to do to keep the entire family happy and entertained! Only real issue we had was the heat didn't work when we arrived and it was 35° outside that night when we arrived... inside was about 54° by morning. Wouldn't have been a big issue except we had a 2 month old and 2-1 year olds with us. We arrived way too late to want to disturb the owners and contacted Ian the next morning. He was extremely helpful and tried to help my husband locate the problem. My husband started a fire in the fireplace with the wood that was provided at the house which helped out a great deal. We also went out and purchased space heaters for the upstairs and main level bedrooms in the meantime, which Ian said he'd reimburse us for. The lower level already has a space heater to use there. When they couldn't get the heat figured out, Ian sent out a HVAC serviceman the next day that got it up and working! But overall, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed everything that was provided! Very lovely cabin on the river. Hearing the sounds of the river made it very relaxing. It is literally right on the river, so be mindful of that if you have toddlers! Ours enjoyed playing on the enclosed decks and watching the river from there! Would recommend bringing a portable gate to keep little ones off the stairs and anything else you might need for them like playpens and booster chairs for the table! The road is very narrow and truly a road through the mountain. My husband is a truck driver so I wasn't nervous. My 15 year old is terrified of heights and blind curves.. so he refused to leave the house once we arrived! Driveway is also extremely steep which Sarah warns about in her welcome email! She's not joking! Didn't need 4x4 this time of year. Drove our 15 passenger van and our Yukon. The van spun a few times leaving out, but no real issue! Thank You Ian and Sarah for offering such a lovely home for others to enjoy! We look forward to renting again!
