You will never see a more original log house in your life. Worth staying here just for the house itself! The fact that it's right on the water with an incredible view is almost just a bonus!
Fully equipped huge kitchen. Three super comfortable adult bedrooms with bathrooms and a great bunk room if you have kids.
All the rooms have the most incredible views. Comfortable dining set up for a large group.
We were there in winter weather which was fun but I can see how it would be a fantastic summer destination as well.
Everything was absolutely perfect with our stay. The hosts met us when we checked in which was very handy. They had messaged us about opening the front door. When I saw the email I thought , good grief, I think I know how to open a front door but it was actually a good thing they met us there. There are many unique and interesting aspects to this wonderful home and opening the front door is one of them. Go figure!
Would happily stay there again.

Thanks to Lea for providing a perfect spot for us to make precious memories as a family!

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Log Castle. It was great for the kids to play and for the adults to relax. Lea was a warm host and even made us pies from the berries we collected from her berry plants.

Our family came together at the Log Castle to heal from the unexpected loss of our son and to celebrate his life. Lea provided an easel to hold a large tribute board we brought that was dedicated to him. The setting was perfect - serene and peaceful. There was something for everyone to do - walks along the beach (we walked to Langley), the kids took the kayaks out, we walked the forest trails across the highway and we enjoyed the gorgeous views from the deck and inside the house. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was plenty of counter space. There were extra tables and chairs to set up for a larger group. We were all impressed by the craftsmanship of this home done by Lea's dad. Our daughter-in-law said this was her favorite place that we had ever chosen for a family get together. We hope we get the opportunity to stay at the Log Castle again.

We spent Memorial Day weekend here with a few families. It was a perfect spot. Easy beach access and we could always see what the kids were up to from the house. We hiked every day on the trails, walked the beach, and had a wonderful time overall. Hosts were very personable and great to work with. Thanks

There almost aren’t adequate words to describe the experience of staying here. A stunningly beautiful property with many hidden surprises to discover, you (like us) won’t want to leave when the time comes. In addition to the seals, eagles and occasional whale, the property is beautifully landscaped. Property Managers were extremely pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended!

My friends and I stayed here for the weekend and are completely enamored by the property. Lea was so friendly in the best way, I felt like I could have chatted with her all day, but didn’t feel intruded on either. Lea and Dennis were outside doing some updates and we felt welcome to be outside on the beach. We had a group of adults laughing and singing along to our favorite throw back tunes which got a little loud despite my best efforts, so I checked in with Lea and she agreed that we could bring it down a notch and we tucked away into a back room once it got late. The beds were all comfortable, the cabin had so much character and history (which we loved reading about!), there were plenty of towels and linens, the kitchen had all of the utensils/pots/pans etc we needed, and the kayaks were a lovely bonus. P.s. The dock that floats out front holds approximately 18 harbor seals; wake up for the sunrise to see them before they scatter at daylight! We did a very thorough clean of the upstairs levels and washed extra loads of laundry to make things easier on them once we left. I would recommend this place to others! :)

This was my second visit to the Log Castle. There are so many special aspects to it! It makes for a very unique, special gathering place. We enjoyed the large kitchen and dining room, chatting by the fireplace, kayaking with porpoises, comfortable sleeping arrangements, gorgeous sunrises and more. I am grateful we had the opportunity to stay. Everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

We loved the house!!! Extraordinary craftsmanship, so unique! Lea and Dennis are great hosts, the best was Dennis knocking on our door to point out pod of porpoise swimming by in the sound. Highly recommend.

We had such a great time staying here. Reading about the history of the house and the property just added to its wonder. The water was so clear right out front. Made for some great kayaking and paddleboarding. Kitchen was well stocked and so. Nice that all the bedrooms could have their own bathroom. Great trails across the street. The hosts were very friendly and live in the attached apartment and were available to answer questions if needed. Will hopefully get to stay again soon.

What a unique and beautiful property. I was worried from the photos about the staircase with two toddlers but it was super safe (with supervision of course). The adults loved the views, the privacy of each room that had their own bathrooms, and the toddlers spent a ton of time on the beach. Thanks for the amazing stay!!

The craftsmanship of the Log Castle is superb and the furnishings are unique. We spent our days on the deck and inside watching the changing moods of the water and basking in the peacefulness of our surroundings. The many seal pups on the raft was the icing on the cake! Most of all, was the gracious hospitality of Lea and Dennis. We plan on returning next year.

This was our second summer visit to the Log Castle. Once again, our group of adults and children (ages 1.5 - 6) loved the house, the beach, the woods and the swings on the grassy hill above the Castle.

Our first family reunion. The castle was plenty large for our family and the room layout gave everyone plenty of personal space with private bathrooms. It was so clean and well appointed. The beach was so fun with the floating dock. They even dug for clams. Lea and Phillip were so welcoming. Plenty of dishes and pans and really everything you need to cook up some feasts! And we did! Our family will remember these days in your amazing, historic home. It was built with love and and we all loved being there. Thank You!

My family had a great time on the Fourth of July! We enjoyed the scenery, kids playing on the beach for hours and seeing the fireworks in nearby islands. We saw hummingbirds, deer, and rabbits during our stay too! The Log Castle is such a unique and special place and we would love to come back again!

This is a one of a kind property close to Langley with incredible beach access. It comfortably slept three families. Incredible views, spacious. Close to town. We will be booking again.

Beautiful, historic property right on the beach with amazing views across the water to Camano Island. We have 4 "seniors" and 5 "under 16" in our family and all were delighted with the accommodations. The hosts, Lea and Dennis, were welcoming and very helpful. They live in a separate unit attached to the rental property and clearly take pride in this beautifully constructed Log Castle. The kitchen is well-stocked with any kitchen appliance or tool you may need, as well as spices and a few common food items, such as sugar, olive oil, etc. The younger members loved the dock which, at low tide made a great place to swim to and jump from. There were several sport kayaks - best for smaller bodies, such as the kids. We have no complaints - only praise to the owners! We will return to this lovely Log Castle on the Beach! Thank you for making this family vacation so memorable!

we had a fantastic time at the log cabin castle! We were 11 adults and it was plenty of room for all of us. I really appreciated that there were lots of extra towels and sheets available as well as spare chairs. The panoramic views are spectacular in the history and detail of the castle are so much fun

This is a wonderful place for a group to stay. The house is huge and beautiful and has amazing views, a well-stocked kitchen, beach access, comfy beds, and a lot of options for sleeping arrangements. We had good, thorough communication with the manager (she even texted me one morning to let us know you could see whales!). We were 4 adults and 3 kids ages 8-12, and everyone had fun!

The pictures does not do this property justice. The views were amazing! The kitchen was well stocked and they even had ice prepared! It may not seem like much, but it was noted with this crew. We planned on spending more time shopping in town but ended up just staying put. One of our book club ladies even ventured out on a kayak in the beautiful morning. The rest of us took a million pics of this adventurous soul. Thank you again Leah for making our book club retreat a fabulous getaway. I highly recommend!

We so enjoyed our stay at the Log Castle. The log castle itself is such an adventure to explore and get to know with his hand-crafted architecture and each door with its story. The kids loved playing hide and seek and inventing different games to explore the castle. The house was well stocked with daily necessities and there is a great store close by for groceries if you want to cook. We got to see harbor seals, bald eagles and a host of other birds. The views of sunset colors on the mountains were a sight to behold.

This is a unique and nicely updated abode with great views of the water, lots of sleeping options, numerous bathrooms, big well-stocked kitchen, access to the beach, and good wifi. Binoculars are provided for watching the many ducks, herons, eagles, seals, and orcas. The host is very helpful and accomodating.

This property is truly one of a kind!! We took our nieces and some of their friends for the Murder Mystery Weekend in Langley. All of the kids (high school and college age) were absolutely blown away by the place (as were my husband and I)!! It is so unique; absolutely delightful!! My father, who was an engineer, would have been absolutely fascinated with it all!! It's truly a log cabin castle, and we all appreciated the history of the house and its structure Lea provided in the guest book. All weekend long, all of us kept commenting, "Look at that log! How'd they do THAT!??!" It is a truly amazing place!! And Lea and her team are so gracious and responsive!! One of our best VRBO experiences ever!!
