The property itself is beautiful, but the house definitely needs a deep cleaning. There was so much accumulated dust on the fans in the ceiling, and all the ceiling beams also full of dust. The air ducts and the air intake are full of dust in the hallway toward the stairs. The floor were full of cat or dog hair. The sofas were full of either dog or cat hair you could sit because your clothes would be full of hair. The porch was full of leaves/front of the house also. The master bedroom smells like cat piss, I spent day and a half cleaning my sister and her two babies went back home to their house instead of staying. And to top it off we had to tidy up after paying a cleaning fee and the house needed cleaning before got there. The grill was bad you could even cook out because it was so dirty. For the money we paid to stay there it really left us very unsatisfied. Poor house keeping.

I loved the layout of this home. Daniel was great to communicate with. It was well stocked and seven bedrooms meant everyone had a private room. The dock was really nice with deep water. The four person floats were a favorite. We loved the screened in porch, as well. The kayaks got a workout and the huge fire pit was awesome. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

My family loved our stay at this lake house! Plenty of space for everyone and the amenities exceeded expectation. The view from the house was delightful! We enjoyed kayaking, lounging on the pier and grilling our dinner on the large deck, then eating as a family around the spacious dining table. The well-stocked kitchen was a plus. We also had a great time in the game room. The owner was very responsive to questions and I’m thankful he shared his fantastic lake home with us!

Spacious with nice size bedrooms. Great swimming, floating, and kayaking. The grandkids loved the sand. Nice deep water for jumping and diving. Short drive to get to stores. All of us fit comfortably around the dining room table.
We had 16 people and we could have used more forks and spoons. Cleaning crew needs to dust fan and beams in the LR. Could also use some plastic or unbreakable cups for kids.

Arriving I noticed the cushions on the sofas were in disarray, a closer look after removing one I saw how filthy they were with potato chip crumbs, popcorn, crayons, cereal and pretzels. I had to find the vacuum cleaner before I could even unload my car. Also, the kitchen cabinet hardware was dirty from food/hand prints so I had to clean them. Next, the ice maker was not working (I read that another person was offered compensation, but not me?) Next, we found things (women's thong underwear, an empty bottle of liquor) around the house from previous people.Then, the AC stopped working and the condenser is in a locked area with no key left at the house. We had to spend the night sweating and we opened the cobweb/spider covered windows.The next day, the HVAC guy had a lot of trouble trying to remove the door by the hinges (without damaging the door) and I got hung up on since it would take the owner 2 hours to get there. HVAC guy eventually was able to get the door off. After that, the washing machine was broken and not filling up with water. We were told we weren't starting it right. (No, it was broken, later acknowledged) It was agitating and no water in the tub. We had to take 15 garbage bags to the laundry mat and it was over 14 miles away so that was another day taken away from our "vacation." I have pictures but Vrbo doesn't have a platform for sharing photos. We were not offered any compensation or empathy. House needs more attention,I'moutofspace

First, let me say that there was indeed plenty of space for the whole family. All the kids were able to have their own beds by the pool and ping pong tables. The other couples each had their own rooms. It’s a great house. It has a lot of potential. It’s not well-kept. Bottom line. Within the first hour or so, we realized the ice maker wasn’t working. I immediately contacted the host, who informed me, “Sometimes the sensor is tricky..” etc. and he suggested I try to take the ice maker box out, then put it back in. He knew the ice maker wasn’t working properly. He knew it when he took our $8k for the week that we’d be without ice. Doesn’t sound like a big deal does it? Well, when you have a massive vaca house on the lake that could potentially sleep between 16-20 people, it’s a huge deal. When I contacted him again, asking if a repair guy could come out and take a look the next business day, I was met with a condescending reply. “I’ll reimburse you a few bucks for the bags of ice you’ll have to get. But one refrigerator ice maker wouldn’t serve 16 people to begin with!” That’s literally what he said to me. The lack of empathy was astonishing. He also mentioned the fact that he and his family, along with their kids’ friends, stay at the house all the time and never have enough ice. Already, this house has an inaccurate description. There’s a beautiful screened in porch off the side of the kitchen. Plenty of seating, ceiling fans, tv. It also comes covered in cobwebs.

We can't say enough about the joy your home and property brought to our family this week! From the massive dining table this fit all 14 of us with ease to all of the outside "toys" at our private dock! We
enjoyed everything - the kayaks, paddle board and the floats. We also loved fishing off the dock - caught countless sunnies a few small bass and 4 nice catfish. We rented a pontoon boat for 2 days and had no problem mooring it at the home. What a blast! For a bunch of "beach combers", we are all now looking forward to our next lakeside vacay! Thanks so much!

Great house beautiful house close to stores and kids stayed in the lake. The only complaint is I request 2 repairs on the main shower didn't work and the plug outlets on dock didn't work. I called for repairs but only got suggestions on how to fix the issue. (They didn't work) but would our family had the best mothers day weekend

My family of 12 decided to take a vacation together for our Christmas this year and even though the weather was not ideal the house was large enough where we could all spread out and have privacy but at the same time the main living area could handle all of us together watching movies!! I would of loved to use the outside too but maybe next time because we will be back! Thank you Daniel

Our stay at North Shore Acres was lovely. The property provided plenty of space for our guests to rest and relax. Daniel went out of the way to make our stay festive by decorating the property for the holidays. The kitchen had all the equipment necessary to make meals for a large group of guests. The young adults in our group enjoyed the billiards and ping pong tables. Overall, we enjoyed a relaxing stay at the lake.

We have rented this house for quite a few years in a row in the fall. The owner is very responsive in answering questions, etc. The children enjoy the dock, kayaks, sand, etc. The kitchen is well stocked and the large table is a big plus, because we are a large family. There are also a couple of fire pits outside. Inside are games, ping pong, pool, books, a WII and toys.

This property was PERFECT! We went with out 3 adult children and their families and some fur babies - the house was roomy and had plenty of space for us - even with babies sleeping all over - the house is spacious and open and was just lovely - the kitchen table filled my heart as we all shared many meals around it - the kitchen is well stocked and was great for lots of cooks to work at one time. The outside deck was awesome for kids and pups to enjoy - the dock, floats and kayaks, beach area were all great and we spent many hours in and around the water with everything having an amazing time! We can't wait to book again for next year - Daniel is an amazing host and very quick to respond to messages - thank you thank you thank you for having this great place to help make this a memorable and enjoyable trip for us all!

The house was perfect for our crew. Except for a trip for ice cream one evening and to play miniature golf one afternoon, we didn't leave the property. We had very good weather and the 6 grandchildren had a blast playing in the lake - jumping off the high deck, using the kayaks and paddleboard, and fishing. The younger ones also enjoyed playing in the sand on the beach. There are plenty of chairs on the decks and the beach. The kids didn't even have to go in the house for lunch. They ate at the table on the deck right off the main living area. Games were played by the kids at the table on the screened porch. The main living room was big enough for all the adults and oldest grandchild to play games in the evening. I also liked that all of us could comfortably sit at the dining table for dinner. That is rare for a group our size. The oldest grandson and the adults appreciated the pool, ping pong, air hockey, and cornhole. Everything we needed was in the kitchen and the refrigerator was adequate for our needs. We would definitely consider coming here again.

Chilly fall weekend, warm cosy house!
We have stayed at this property quite a few years in a row. We have a large family and the bedroom layout is great for our married children and the grandchildren. There were renovations this year that was great. It was too cool to do much on the lake, so we mostly stayed indoors and played games, did puzzles and craft projects, etc. Everyone enjoyed the weekend!

Wonderful vacation! Many activities for young and older. Grocery store close by. My 7 yo grandson kayaked around the island all by himself. A beautiful place to make memories that will last forever!

We had 13 adults and an infant at this lake house and it was perfect. The game room is a great added touch that we used every night. The dock was a great place to sit in the morning and totally relax. Then the dock becomes the center of activity for the daytime. We hung out there, kayaked, paddle boarded and swam out to the inflatables. The beach area was perfect for the baby and a place to get out of the sun. It was very hot this week. All in all I don’t think we could find a better lake house for our family.
