The location is awesome, but the condition of the property was not at all accurate per the listing. It’s not a 5 bedroom, at least not 5 bedrooms renters can access. The furniture and appliances are all very tired and don’t work well. Refrigerator sounds like a Jack hammer when it comes on. The hot tub did not work and that was the primary search criteria when we booked this a year in advanced. Stunning views but had we had all our family show up as planned we would not have fit. No working cable TV in the Master, only a DVD Player. Only 1 of the 6 ceiling speakers in the living room worked. Definitely NOT worth the price when there are 5 other houses in the same neighborhood of comparable size and all pet friendly. We still had a fun family Christmas but the condition of this property was disappointing.

We were disappointed the hot tub wasn't working as that was one of the reasons we picked this home. Overall, lovely home, close to town and easy access to the beach, plus pet friendly!

It's probably a 30 years old unit not working at all. Remove this from the ad, because it does not work. The jets were spraying all over the place when turned on, nozzles missing. We were afraid to use it. The ad is a scam having hot tub in the title (at the time of this writing the rental ad title is "Fantastic, NEW BEACHFRONT HOME! 10 person HOTTUB.").

Unfortunately, the guest is continually met with areas of neglect. Specifically, some things don't seem clean. I found coffee grounds in the coffee pot, there is no garbage disposal, there are some dirty baseboards. The banister was replaced apparently however they didn't touch up the paint. When you pay Resort prices, you expect to be in a Resort and these details take away from the experience. We have stayed at another home in the Resort and it was impeccable so it seems this home, The Pearl, needs to be brought up to standard. The refrigerator has difficulty closing and it makes a recurring shrill noise periodically. In addition, the dining chairs are torn and sunken in the seat, very uncomfortable, and the living room furniture is missing comfortable sofas. The outside furniture has seen better days. Now the positive: the view of the ocean makes up for most of the discomforts of the interior. While we won't stay at The Pearl in the future, we will return to the other home we've stayed at and try the others. In general, the homes at this Resort are attractive and the location is amazing.

The door that we assume was the 5th bedroom and other bath was locked with signs saying "owners". Our group ended up having to share spaces that we weren't expecting to share. Luckily we were able to make it work in the end, but we definitely didn't get what we paid for. That said, the rest of the space was great and the location to the beach was perfect. We still enjoyed ourselves, but feel a partial refund is deserved.

First and foremost, we love the location and the view and the place really could be great and worth the money if you would fix the things that are really wrong with it. 1. It was quite dirty. We know it is the beach, but there was sand everywhere when we arrived, when it should have been the cleanest. Windows were filthy. We know the outside upper windows are hard to reach, but even the 1st floor windows were filthy. We also had quite a spider/bug/roach problem. 2. The hot tub is in horrible condition and we were never able to get it to heat up. 3. 3rd floor bedroom ceiling fan did not work. 4. Dishwasher had water spray rotor was laying in the bottom of the dishwasher. We did not use it until the last day. 4. Coffee maker was incredibly slow. 5. The refrigerator made a strange noise every time the door was open and froze a lot of the food. 6. 3rd floor bathroom hand towel rack was broken and under the sink. 7. The stair handrail at the top was not repaired to code, and you could be liable for any accidents. 8. Master bedroom lock would not lock. 9. The stopper in the tub was broken (sitting on window sill and could not be put in), making the tub unusable. 10. Drawers on bottom of bunk beds were in poor shape and could not open all of them. 11. Queen bed on 2nd floor was broken-the frame. 12. The lock/knob on the bottom floor bedroom was so rusted and was falling out of the door. 13. The faucet in bottom floor bathroom and very little water coming out. 14. Bottom floor bedroom ceiling fan bulbs were all out and the floor lamp flickered a great deal. 15. Door from 2nd floor master bedroom to patio was so difficult (wouldn’t slide) to open and shut it couldn’t be used. I hate that I have to write this, but it was really not up to the standard or description of the property and since I had to pay over $200 cleaning fee, I would hope that it would be reasonably clean. I really hope you take this information and fix the place so that it can be spectacular. It has such potential and such a great location and view. Also wanted to mention if someone falls and is injured on the stairway because of broken bannister, you could be sued.

The property location absolutely cannot be beat! The views and proximity to the beach are what made us rent this house a 2nd year. Minor maintenance issues exist but no different from any high turnover property- and they address issues same day. Beautiful place for us and our adult children to vacation.

Conveniently located near the beach with good views. Many repairs needed, not a special needs/ handicap friendly facility. All doors to balconies broken. Would stay again without elderly guests or children.

Doors warped, broken doors, fogged window that needed to be replaced, the closer on the storm was broken. The screens were gross. We never went into the hot tub for fear it wasn't properly taken care of. We are also locked out upon arrival and took over a hour for someone to get there to find out once you got in the garage you could go up the elevator (didn't know there was an elevator nor how to use it). One of the maintenance people had to help us figure out how to use the TV's It's a shame that the owner of this investment hasn't taken of this house. I suggested to management that the owner should have given us a partial refund. They never responded. We did have a good time in Port A

Tracy was amazing and quick to reply when we couldn't figure out the TV situation (it was raining!) We HIGHLY recommend this home. We made memories that will last a lifetime!!

We had a party of 10 including our family with 4 young adults and then we had both sets of grandparents. Our goal was to enjoy the ocean and each other for a quiet relaxing week! The Pearl is a great house in a great location for a beach getaway. The house is configured for guests to relax with a view of the ocean on the 3rd floor as the primary living space and then the 2nd floor has most of the bedrooms. I would come here again in a heartbeat - very close access to the beach, and plenty of space on the beach to spread out. We rented 2 golf carts and used those to navigate to and from the beach and around town (legal routes only). As we are relatively frequent VRBO users I would add some suggestions compared to what my wife and I have experienced in other rentals to make the Pearl even better:1. Check in process - not a big deal, staff was awesome but we drove in to the office to get a code for the garage. For code based rentals - which are common, could operate via text?2. Upgrade and make the 3rd door entrance to patio fully accessible. This is actually really important for the flow of the house since this is the living area. We called and were told we could use the door but to be extremely careful - and we were, but I would offer taking this away as a limitation with a permanent solution would be great.3. Hot tub is a great offering - we used it daily as we typically do on vacation. This one needs a lot of work, one of the spouts was not working so was covered up with a makeshift solution to keep water from draining off the backside.4. Final recommendation - add posted signs for how to use the hot tub at or on the breaker box. This is what we typically see in vacation rentals and there are some extras on this hot tub that I didn't know what to do with.Hope this helps!

Two of my kids and their spouses joined me for a four day weekend. The house was nice. I have arthritic knees and enjoyed the elevator. We wanted a nice view and we were well satisfied. I will plan another stay here.
