best nights sleep on my trip to Mexico so far. the front porch view of the ocean with the hammock was perfect. Roberto and crew were very friendly and cool.

was a tad difficult to identify, for a guy with “poco español.” the loft stairs would get old, for an guy who’s done nearly a half century of laps around the sun and needs to pee in the night more frequently.

Wow. What a great location - and the view! We were surprised at how large the balcony / terrace was. We had a direct ocean view and could see and hear the huge surf of Playa Zicatela. The beach was a very short walk away. Mercado Zicatela was just up the hill, the main Zicatela area a half mile north, and to the south La Punta was just a mile down the beach. Nearby, there were plenty of restaurant options. Our room had a fridge, sink, and small stove. Despite having A/C at night, we only used it twice, the ocean breeze was cool enough and there are many screened windows to let the air pass through. Roberto was a great host. The balcony had a hammock and some chairs and a table for relaxing. An excellent and affordable option not too close to the noisy nightclubs.

There could have been a few more kitchen items but I'm pretty sure Roberto would have supplied anything we didn't have. The large bathroom didn't really have a place to hang a towel or store your typical shower needs. A few extra drawers would have been handy.

Great location right on the beach and close to everything!

Owner was really nice and had amazing detailed suggestions of where to go/what to do. However, his son who works there as well was very inappropriate with me. I was traveling with my boyfriend (which he knew) and yet he continued to try and pursue me and touched me in areas I was not comfortable with... As a young female international guest, his actions made me quite uncomfortable for the remainder of my stay.

Roberto and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. From check-in to check-out they helped with anything I needed and even referred me to a laundry service.

Location. Knowledgeable and friendly host. I liked the privacy. I felt extremely safe at this location.

Room was not cleaned during stay. Would recommend light cleaning of unit every other day.

our room was spacious but there wasn’t even a hook to hang the towels in the bathroom and not really any storage space. The mosquito nets had many holes…

This is right by the beach, the rooms have a beautiful view. the rooms need some work but they are clean. the staff is extremely accommodating and nice

I liked the chilled vibe of this place, felt like staying in a surf shack but in a massive room, with kitchenette and AC. Great sea views and handy quiet location. The WiFi was a little hit which was the only little niggle.

Wifi would not stay on, no TV in the room. The shower made a mess when you used it. In my room, the bed is up the stairs. Which are very narrow, and not advisable for people with mobility issues. The electrical plug outlets are few. Better bring a power strip.

We had a grate time! Loved the place and the owners. they are very nice and friendly and will help you with every thing you need in any time!😉 The place has a grate view to the ocean (2 min walking). right on playa zicatela and a grate spot to surf in peace with not too much surfers so respact the local surfers and have fun🏄🏽‍♂️

I was in the upper room with the wonderful large terrace with a hammock. The view to the ocean was awesome from my terrace and also I had a direct view from my bed! I loved that my terrace had palm trees at the corner of it, where there was the perfect little table for eating, and I was right near the top of the trees. The breeze blowing gently through the fronds was awesome and i also enjoyed the birds. The beach is less than 5 minutes walk away. Roberto, the host, was amazing--very helpful and accommodating and a wonderful Soul! He gave me a complimentary ride to the airport The bed was great! It is located about a 15-20 minute walk from the main part of the shops and restaurants, so it it out of the noisy music at night. There were times when it was very quiet.

The kitchenette in my room was really not esthetically pleasing and the pots and pans and dishes old and not nice. (However, I saw the other upper room and it was really great!) The property in general is not well maintained and I would love to see more care taken to address the things that need to be upgraded..the plants in the gardens need to be trimmed so that they are not obstructing the walkway, and screens need to be replaced, and the leak in the kitchen sink taken care of. Also there are two very annoying barking dogs on the backside of the property that get triggered when anyone walks by them, so there were times when it was very quiet and times when it was very noisy with the dogs.
