The pictures do not do the house justice. It is bright, roomy and comfortable. Matt provided awesome details, suggestions and was easy to reach. We had 4 adults and 3 kids ages 13,14, & 16. I highly recommend this house and this part of Michigan.

Union Pier is almost exactly halfway between our family’s homes, so none of us had to drive more than 6 hours. The house is nicely furnished, well appointed, and actually had everything we needed. The screen porch was great for containing 2 toddlers. We enjoyed the area and would surely consider returning.

This house was exactly what we needed for a group of 4 couples visiting over a wedding weekend. The house is exactly as described, but even nicer in person than the pictures can do justice. It's well kept and the communication with Matt the owner was very very easy. The proximity to the small town area was fantastic and every body enjoyed the short morning walks to town for coffee. I would definitely recommend this spot and hope to stay again in the future.

We found this house conveniently located to all our favorite restaurants and beaches: Red Arrow Road House, Brewsters, Stray Dog, Journeyman, Viola’s and Casey’s. We love the nearby beaches and the Galien River Walk is not to be missed!

We love the Union Pier area by Lake Michigan . The house was better even than we expected . Plenty of room to spread out but quaint and cozy for the four of us , my parents , and brothers . The house has so much charm but has carefully updated . We always love the old and new mixed together in the history of vactioners coming to the Lake. There is a nice yard too for enjoying a back deck or letting the kids run around . The kitchen is brand new ! Very well appointed and there wasn’t one thing that we needed that wasn’t already there . The weather was pretty rainy during our stay and so the huge screened porch still allowed us to enjoy the outdoors . Location was perfect to enjoy walking to Black Currant Bakery , Izzy Bean Gelato or the Corner Market . New Buffalo was great to walk around Marina and boardwalk .. places to eat . Adorable kids section at library during a pop up shower . The beach is close and you can enjoy Warren Dunes too . Check out CaptainMikes old time amusement park too with the kids . We have this on our list to hopefully return next summer .

We loved sitting on the screened in porch while we ate our morning goodies from the local bakery. The beach nearby was where we spent most of our time. We loved grilling our dinner on the back deck, where we also spotted deer in the yard next door. We will definitely keep this house on our list for another vacation!

It would be helpful if listings could be a little more precise about location before final booking. We plan our vacation with another family every year and try to find listings near their location -- and it's not really possible to tell how close it is given how VRBO formats listing locations. This has nothing to do with this particular house or owner -- both were AWESOME and we loved the house. Just would have liked to have been a little closer to our friends staying at Gintaras resort.

We just got home from staying at the Good Life in Union Pier. This was the third year in a row that we have rented this home and it just keeps getting better and better! The outdoor space is my favorite with a giant screened in porch in the front for lazy afternoon games or cocktails, and the large deck off the back of the house where you can watch hummingbirds drink from the Rose of Sharon bush during the day or watch the moon rise over the trees in the evening. The house is graciously decorated and fully equipped for fun. You will find nothing lacking in the kitchen for whatever you want to cook. We loved using the large grill on the back deck as well. The owner, Matt, is very responsive and easy to work with. It is clear he wants his guests to enjoy their stay. Union Pier is the perfect spot for family vacations and this house is right in the center of the action. The beach is a 15-20 minute walk or a quick drive. New Buffalo is just down the road as is Warren Dunes State Park. There is a sweet gelato shop just across the highway. The Good Life is indeed that and we look forward to returning.

What a great place to stay!!! Went to a family reunion and stayed here with our family of seven. Plenty of room for all of us. We had a very relaxing time. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking and the place was just cozy and inviting. Matt is great to work with and we would definitely come back again if the need should arise. Good value as well!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! The home is clean, quiet and conveniently located. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the equipment we needed, the beds are comfortable and the furniture is up-to-date. Our weather was mixed, but with the option of a screened front porch, pleasant deck and easy beach access, we were all set. Matt was pleasant, attentive and easy to contact. We highly recommend this property and hope to visit again.

Six of us ladies stayed at this lovely home for three nights. We enjoyed ourselves immensely, especially the screened in porch. This was our second stay and we can’t wait to come back!

It is a great home. Plenty of room for our family of five adults and two children. The kitchen is so well stocked that all we have to bring is food. The home is very well taken care of. We plan to return next summer!
