My family (husband & 3 kiddos) enjoyed our stay. We took the kids out on the water and fished a little. The beds were comfortable and the home was clean. The driveway is well marked and easy to find. We plan to be back.

Only 2 issues were bathrooms were smaller than expected and bedrooms didnt have enough drawers or hangers. Otherwise, felt like a home away from home. We’ve already talked about returning! This was one of the most absolute perfect properties we have stayed in. It was AMAZING!!! The interior was so comfortable providing open views to the water. The balcony was so wide and open allowing gorgeous views of the water and fish literally jumping all around. Jeff was outstanding and responded immediately. A+++ all the way around.🤗

What an AMAZING place to stay. So, so many positive things about this vacation home. The waterfront views, the porch is amazing, the views from inside the house overall, the many outdoor opportunities right out the back sliding doors. We enjoyed relaxing in the sun, swimming, kayaking, paddle boating, fishing and soaking in all the views. Such a beautiful and friendly area, and close to downtown where there is plenty to do and visit and see. A big plus that it was pet friendly. The house was beautiful, well kept, the house amenities and furniture was all comfy and nice. Very cozy place! Mr. Jeff is an awesome host and responds quickly as well as makes sure you are enjoying your trip and dont need anything. We will definitely be back.

Jeff was fantastic to work with, very responsive. At first sight, you may not think this property is all you signed up for. But then you open the door to a gorgeous get away with a stunning view of the lake. Comfortable beds, clean, fully equipped kitchen and plenty of kayaks for the whole family. Our only regret is we didn't stay longer.

Jeff, the host, was so great! We were staying for our daughter's wedding and the pandemic meant she couldn't have a traditional bachelorette party with friends, so we wanted to surprise her with a relaxing at-home family spa day and her favorite movie (appropriately) The Princess Bride. Jeff made sure we had access to a DVD player so we wouldn't have to pack one from home, along with all the other wedding necessities we stuffed in 3 cars. He was so kind, he even offered to buy one, but it turned out the TV had one built in (Heads up: we couldn't locate a remote for the TV & used the manual controls provided on the side, which meant we couldn't access subtitles for the hearing impaired member of our party. *We didn't contact Jeff to solve this because we were in Relaxing Bride Party mode and just proceeded as it was a familiar movie.) The house was VERY clean, and I'm picky. It had waterfront charm all over it and the huge riverside porch was wonderful. Gorgeous views and ample seating for our entire family. It was our dog's favorite spot. The provided kayaks meant we didn't have to cart ours (see aforementioned 3 cars of wedding stuff) and were put to use.

We loved our week at the Grey Goose—a very spacious, clean, comfortable home just a short drive from downtown New Bern. Made good use of the kayaks, and Jeff and his staff were very helpful and responsive. The view is second to none! We hope to return some day...

We loved staying here, and so did our dog!! Right on Brice's Creek with everything you need to enjoy the outdoors. Very nice home, and the owner immediately responds to anything you need. Highly recommend and we will be back. Thank you!!

“Jeff’s Pictures don’t do this place justice! “ , I believe is what are daughter who we met here for family time together said upon her first walk through!! This is a Wonderful 3 bedrooms and 2 bath home right on water with Big windows for views of water from everywhere, great covered patio with gas grill, beach area with chairs for lounging ,boat dock with kayaks and a peddle boat. Kitchen had everything we needed . WiFi and TV’s worked great, washer/dryer . Close to town but secluded on lake! Easy check in with all needed information for entrance. Clean! Jeff is wonderful host who is not intrusive but would be attentive to any requests but I don’t think we had any! Great easy instructions for everything. Jeff and his team are so nice combined with home location and the thoughtful considerations throughout property, We had Wonderful time and look forward to returning! Thank you Jeff !

We had such a great time. We had everything we needed. The only down fall of our stay was that the fish just weren’t biting. Communication with Jeff was outstanding. Thank you and we hope to return to the area again

We absolutely loved the Gray Goose. From the moment we walked through to door until we regrettably had to leave. 😢�. Very clean and comfortable. We sleep well on the comfy beds and enjoyed nice hot showers. Didn’t have a chance to enjoy the paddle boat or kayaks, but will definitely be back and staying longer so we can. And btw....amazing view. Anyone coming to visit New Bern will not regret staying at the Gray Goose.

Where do I begin, not only is the place clean and cozy, it is great location close to great food and places to see with even the beach less than an hour away. The views from the house are great and the deck side is shaded in the evening to keep it cool while you grill and relax by the water. Kayaks, paddle boats, fishing poles, Jeff thought of it all. Jeff himself is always quick to respond to you and is one of the nicest accommodating host I ever had. We got evacuated from OBX for hurricane Dorian and were able to book this great place because Jeff was so quick to respond and he made a VERY stressful time for us so much easier. I would recommend this place to anyone, relax and have access to so much if you are a water lover and outdoors person. Thanks again 🙏�

This little spot on a bend of the creek was just what we were looking for. The boat launch was quick and easy and the ride through the creek was lovely. The house has clearly had a lot of recent tlc. We even had someone stop on their boat and say we've done a great job with the place! When we told them we were just renting, they told us what a wreck it used to be! They were very impressed with the outside and we let them know that the inside was great, too! It is clear that the guest's comfort is important.

The Grey Goose is a wonderful home with so many thoughtful touches. The setting is gorgeous and Jeff has made the most of it. The private “beach” is genius! The tin roof made the rainy times so relaxing. The house itself smelled great. We enjoyed hanging out on the back porch listening to the rain, watching the tides coming in and out, and the hawk that nests across the creek. We fished, catching largemouth and striped bass, a redfish, and brim. We crabbed and caught so many that we needed a second cooler for the trip home. I almost caught an alligator gar on a crab line! We enjoyed taking the kayaks out and could explore for miles. The wireless signal was strong and I was able to sneak in a little work without difficulty while others could stream on their devices. Jeff was a wonderful host who was available by text for all our questions. I hope to return with our dogs since the Grey Goose is pet friendly. This is a great place to stay for so many reasons. We were surrounded by nature but had easy and quick access to shopping, restaurants, churches and the downtown. If you are trying to decide which VRBO to stay in in New Bern, stop looking. This is it.

Our stay at the Grey Goose was just as pictured only more wonderful. I've rented many houses before but this was was by far the best stocked. He had just about everything we could need in the house. Some places treat you like they think you'll steal everything or they leave just the bare minimum. But the owner made sure the home was comfortable and anything you needed was there. He even provided fishing rods and a paddle boat, which wasn't advertised. Bath&Body works hand soaps, everything smelled good when you walked in. Just as pictured. We really enjoyed our stay. So relaxing, so beautiful! Thanks so much!

A great location with a great view. Perfect for the whole family, plenty to do. Just a short drive from downtown and a ton of great dining options. We will be back!

We had a few bumps, but Jeff was very quick to get things worked out for us.

The Grey Goose was charming. So much was offered for guest use by this property including: gas grill, linens, towels, cable TVs, kayaks, paddle boat, drip coffee maker, deck overlooking Brice’s Creek. We loved watching the osprey nest in the cypress tree directly across from the porch. We tried fishing with very limited success. I suspect fishing may be better in the spring and fall when the water temperature is lower. My wife and I hosted our two adult daughters and one additional couple comfortably in the three bedrooms. The AC struggled to keep the house cool during the hottest part of the 100 degree days but otherwise worked just fine. The property manager was gracious and promptly addressed the lack of propane in the gas grill. This was a great vacation spot in a fishing cabin like setting. We enjoyed visiting New Bern, Morehead Citu, Beaufort and Fort Macon State Park. We are very grateful for the Grey Goose and those managing this property.
