I just had the most restful and restorative vacations of my life. My family and another took two of the villas at sea grape and lived it up. The staff and amenities were fantastic. Tremendous hospitality. Great neighborhood/ community. Chef melo made us a few breakfasts that were hearty and delicious. We got situated with drivers and guides, all of whom were incredibly warm and welcoming. We stayed in seagrape, it was spectacular, so comfortable and inviting, I literally walked in the front door and it felt like a second home. Thank you Glenn and Susie… I miss it already!

Beautiful, private, well maintained and managed. Exceeded our expectations. Absolutely paradise. Either people will get it or they won't..if you're coming to relax and/or engage in the local culture this is the spot; if you're looking to have your hand held and the only local interaction be with waiters and concierge then try Ocho Rios. Several local stands/shops for basic groceries, souvenirs, etc. Walking out of the Seagrape entrance and looking left is a shop that sells wood carved items..I believe her name is Faye. Beautiful work and a delightful woman. A brilliant gem of a restaurant within walking distance called the Cliffs (just past Rick's), and plenty of smaller (2-3 table) local owned places scattered every 30-40 yards or so where local food is offered...curry/jerk chicken/goat, etc. The Cliffs gets fresh fish daily and we stumbled in twice to find redfish and lobster..ask about their fresh catch. Lots of foot/bike traffic throughout the area and on the beach with locals selling all kinds of things...everywhere you turn. Like similar countries/environments, showing them respect but requiring that you be respected goes a long way. The email Glenn provides with contacts is handy. Vincent is the man for fishing, snorkeling and boating activities..everyone seems to know him and he has a great reputation locally. There is a kid on Glenn's list we do not recommend and that is the local driver..we used him several times before realizing we should not be paying $20 for a one-way trip to/from town. The going rate is $10 max..they ride share their taxis and often it's closer to $5 per way. FYI if you dive I do not recommend Negril Adventure Divers. There are some really nice dives (i.e. the throneroom) but I question their emphasis on safety. Being a solo diver and diving with their dive master he was a bit too absorbed with spearfishing than making sure we stay together. I will use another outfit the next time. Overall a fabulous stay and we will definitely be back. The Seagrape Villas are spectacular and it seems everyone we spoke with was familiar with and had only good things to say about them. Glenn was responsive to questions and needs that came up. A wonderful vacation!

My husband and I travelled to Negril in January 2015. We stayed at the Wild Grape Villa, one of the three properties at Sea Grape Villas. I have nothing but excellent comments about this location. (1) prior to our trip, Marc (the owner of the property) was excellent in responding to all of my(many) questions. Ask him anything! (2) Our flight from Toronto to Montego Bay was significantly delayed. It was easy to contact Marc to let him know, so that he could advise the driver who picked us up at the airport. Donovan, the driver, was there waiting for us when we finally arrived. He was an excellent host and gave us useful information about the island during our ride. I left my passport in his vehicle, but didn't notice it was missing until our 2nd day. The staff at Sea Grape called Donovan to confirm that he was holding onto it for me until he drove us back to the airport at the end of our stay. I felt confident that it was in good hands. (2) Juicy (the cook) - Juicy is a sweet and wonderful man. He brought us delicious Jamaican coffee and toast with Jam each morning. Juicy also cooked two dinners for us. You MUST try the fish in ginger sauce. YUMMMM. Juicy also provided us with snorkelling gear so we could explore the ocean in our backyard! you MUST do this. (3) Christine (housekeeping) is a beautiful person inside and out. She made the place feel fresh each day. We talked about my braids and had a laugh. (4) Bentley (grounds-keeper) is very sweet. He would set up our lounge chairs each morning near the ocean, and bring them in at night. He always said hello and made you feel safe, knowing that he was watching the grounds. (5) The grounds of Sea Grape Villas is very lush, and private. The moment you enter the sea grapes gate, you are set apart from the busy streets of Negril. (6) There are mosquitos (at night), so be sure to bring OFF with a strong deet percentage. (7) My husband and I were looking for a private and romantic vacation - Wild Grape Villa was perfect. We even went skinny dipping in the ocean during our last two days. Very private. I think the staff could sense our need for privacy as well, as they were in and out quickly, respecting our alone time. (8) My husband, who was not an island vacationer (he prefers big cities) was very impressed with our villa. I think he's converted to the island way of life. :) we will definitely be back. Thank you Marc!

My husband and I spent a week at Seagrape villas. We were fortunate enough to stay in the Wild Grape Villa which had outstanding views from the veranda. We are a couple in our 50's and didn't want the crowded resort atmosphere. Wild Grape was everything we had hoped for in a relaxing carefree vacation. We woke up every morning to fresh coffee and toast, which Juicy left on the veranda table. Some mornings we even ordered fresh fruit or eggs. We let Juicy fix all our evening meals for us. We ate lunch at a few places, but really preferred Juicy's cooking and his very reasonable prices. One evening after returning to the Villa late from an all day tour, Juicy still had our dinner prepared for us and served it with a smile! Juicy will fix anything you ask for if he can get it; one evening we even had fresh lobster he had caught that day! There was always more food than the two of us could eat. Christina did a wonderful job of keeping the place looking nice and we always had fresh flowers from the garden in vases throughout the villa. We didn't notice cockroaches like one reviewer mentioned or many bugs at all, which is surprising since you are in the tropics so close to the ocean. Mosquitos were not two bad in early June; however I did spray myself with deet and Christina sprayed the rooms for us each day. We also had some small crabs that would come and visit a few evenings on the deck, but Lucky and Brownie the property dogs would usually bark and scare them off! It was really fun to watch. Brownie and Lucky were our guards every night and always there to greet us when we opened up in the morning. Take dog treats!!! I felt very safe, especially with Bentley patrolling the grounds at night. The entire staff at Seagrape was wonderful. We spent most of our time at Seagrape just relaxing and taking in the view on our private deck and there was a private walk to the sea with a ladder to the ocean. We did take a day tour to the Black River, YS Falls and Appleton Rum Factory. Our tour guide was Donivan for the day and I would HIGHLY recommend using him. He stopped along the way and got us sugar cane, papaya, mangos, allspice, and pointed out many interesting sights. He picked us up from the airport when we arrived and took us back to the airport when we left. I would definitely us him again! Our entire time at the Villa was outstanding and we will stay there again if we get the chance to go back to Negril!
