Location
Because they are in the middle of nowhere they believe that they can serve food below average for high price. No one mind’s paying due to the location but come on it’s not hard to serve good food it’s 2023. Take proud in what you are serving add some love to the meal. I am talking about the buffet at the ranch. Shame on you.

Amazing resort in the middle of Death Valley. Beautiful grounds, excellent dining, wonderful pool with bar service. We stayed in one of the casitas and loved the privacy. Highly reccomend!
Not much to put here.

The room is kind small to fit one big king bed.

The food is very costly at the inn. Typically dinner entree is $50+ and appetizer at the lounge area $20+. I would suggest stopping at a grocery store in Pahrump to purchase food, so you don’t have to eat every meal out. You would have food for your hiking as well.

One of my favorite places I've ever stayed. Worth every penny! Get a casita for a few days and make Death Valley your temporary home. Pool at night with the fires was magical!

The location is incredible. The views are amazing. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The stars from the roof terrace were amazing. The staff of the hotel and the dining room were terrific.
When we arrived, we found the carpet in our room to have spots of an unknown substance. We moved to an adjacent room and found the floor of the bathroom to be dirty. When paying nearly $600 per night, you don’t expect that. The dinner menu was incredibly boring and limited - and remarkably expensive for the quality of the food.

Location was amazing. Couldn't be better - central to main sights. Comfortable room and cleanliness and service great.
My lower score is simply because the restaurant's pricing (for dinner) is way out line with the quality of the food. I'd consider it reasonable at one-third the price. Breakfast too is only passable, but at least not so over-priced.

There is a bad smell in the library.

Good location right in Death Valley. Staff was very courteous. Lobby looks nice and elegant and had an intimate atmosphere. There is a heated outdoor pool, a gym, and a dark patio to look at stars at night.
Tiny room for $600+. Shower didn't get hot enough for a comfortable shower. Restaurant had fancy sounding overpriced dishes but not very tasty. They grow water thirsty palm trees in the desert.

Location is perfect. We could see the beautiful Milky Way from Z point, just 6mins drive from the hotel. It was astonishing.
The room is a little bit small. The air conditioner is not strong enough. The room was cold.

This place is a beautiful step back in time! It is truly an oasis and you can imagine Hollywood legends walking around. The food was wonderful and the ambience. architecture and pool was incredible. For anyone with mobility issues there are lots of stairs this place is built into the side of a rock face. But it’s we’ll worth it. Stay for at least a night if you ever get the chance.

wonderful location in Death Valley. A real Eden Garden. Cosy and quiet Casitas room.

Just wow! As soon as we parked our car a nice lady from the hotel came to pick is up so we didn't have to walk with our luggage. Everybody was very welcoming! The pool was lovely and we really enjoyed that it stayed open until 11:00 pm. I can also really recommend the stargazing terrace; you can see the milkyway from up there.
We truly loved our stay at the Inn and will definitely come back one day!
Nothing.

Historic inn updated/maintained in excellent condition. Great staff, friendly and personable. Yes, as some have written, the food was expensive, but no surprise since location is remote.
WIFI in room was marginal. But much better in the reception area.

It is an elegant hotel with Americana fixtures and furniture. The bedroom was comfortable with a balcony looking towards the gardens and road.
The swimming pool area is lovely.
There were no signs to tell us that we could drive to the entrance to take our luggage out. A porter did come out to help and he explained what to do.
The restaurant wasn't open for dinner but we went across the road and had a nice steak dinner instead.
We found it quite hard to find the swimming pool so some signs would be helpful.

Exceptional hotel in DVNP. The hotel is completely renovated but kept in the traditional style of the location - it is simply a very charming place to spend your days at while exploring the valley. It has got a large pool area and the oasis is simply stunning in this environment. Very special place if one wants to relax and get away from people. The staff is really friendly and I got a complimentary upgrade for the room.
Only one little thing - Wifi connection is a bit patchy but works well in general.

The inn is a paradise in Death Valley, I loved it’
Our car got totalled in the flash flood this year at the parking lot, a gentleman at the Ranch told us that the older workers knew about the parking lot being in a flash flood path, but the younger employees didn’t, so we weren’t warned for that reason.
The pool is kind of deep for children, you have to swim all the time which makes it very exhausting. but there is probably a reason for it to be this deep.
