The property was really exactly as described and pictured. Very spacious, beds were comfortable. Bathroom and gathering areas were plentiful. The views were spectacular. Check-in was easy, don't go to the hotel concierge- go directly to your condo! There is a marked parking spot to make things easier. Breakfast is not included but a grocery store (drive-able) is not far and the kitchen is well suited. It is a steep walk/hike to the beach and pool areas. The property runs a golf cart to aid some guests as needed. The beach has little sand during high-tide so helpful to check the tide schedule if that's important to you. The property is minutes away (driving, not walking) from everything in Manuel Antonio/Quepos area.

We just returned from the most incredible stay. We feel so fortunate to have found this place as it was perfect for our family. We had our two sons (13,15) and my mom (in her early 70s) my husband and I. The layout of the condo was perfect for us- giving us all the space we needed and more. The closets are huge and the bathrooms as well. The pictures don’t even capture how special the unit is. We enjoyed breakfast in the condo with coffee on the main balcony (there are 3) and had cocktails each evening there as well. The unit overlooks the pool so we were able to see and communicate with others in the group who were at pool. We saw a sloth right from the balcony and monkeys came each day! The wildlife and view from the balconies and bedrooms are amazing. We loved the short walk to the beach, ate at the restaurant and pool and the concierge for the unit made everything perfect. We had groceries delivered prior to our arrival and alcohol sent to the room. We had a private chef,Chris, one evening right in the condo and it was delicious! Our excursions were all planned and coordinated perfectly by the concierge and we simply had the best vacation ever! In much part due to the Shana experience and our experience with this unit. Again- we feel blessed to have found it and are already talking about returning!

Fantastic place to stay. The quality of the residence and amenities were great. You can't beat the view for morning coffee or evening cocktails. As a property renter myself, I appreciated the attention to small things like beach chairs, coffee and filters, full kitchen utensils and equipment, and bags for excess food or snacks.
The residence is well maintained and has quality furniture throughout. Would definitely look at renting again and highly recommend to people.

Loved everything about our stay here. The view was epic. The unit was beautifully decorated and had nice finishes. Very spacious for a family of 4. The resort amenities were a wonderful bonus. The almost private beach was so nice! Our concierge was fabulous and took great care care of us. Everything from check in, yours and check out went smoothly. Not one single complaint except maybe the bill climbs to get around which I just considered my workout for the day so no big deal. We will definitely return! Top Notch all the way!

The condo looks over the pool to the jungle and the ocean beyond. The beds were all comfortable, even the pull-out. The walk to the closest beach is only 5 minutes. The nicer beach is a 20 minute walk along the road and down the trail, but it is definitely worth it. I don't recommend renting a car. The concierges for VRBO and Shana are amazing at arranging excursions. The hotel restaurant was good. We ordered groceries that were waiting for us. You can drink the water and the wifi is good. The gym is very close. The Costa Rican people are the nicest people you could hope to meet.

The property is beautiful and everything as described. We were able to eat breakfast and havr coffee on the deck each morning looking at a beautiful view, lots of amazing birds, and occasional monkeys. Pool was beautiful too, walk to the beach was through the jungle so we got to see birds and scenery on the way. The beach is so nice too! A great location for exploring the country around MA and Quepos too. We would love to return someday!

We had the best time at Shana Residences. It was the perfect space for our family of 5. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep, the condo is equipped with everything you need and even better yet our concierge had groceries delivered before we arrived! The ability to use the hotel amenities made this the perfect spot for us - the restaurant, the pool, the people - all amazing. We even had a sloth in the tree over the pool the whole time we were there and monkeys playing in the trees while we walked down the path to the beach. Plus we felt like locals bringing the beach chairs from the condo! Thanks for making our family vacation everything we needed and more! We will stay here again if we ever get a chance to come back to Quepos!

Returning after 10 years, we stayed at this beautiful condo at the Shana Hotel and Residence. Being part of a Hotel property we were afforded the extra features of a fully staffed pool bar and restaurant, but had the privacy of a condominium. We had a minor issue with a clogged drain in the kitchen that prevented us from using the dishwasher and perhaps preparing a meal or two on our own, but Kent and the owner made sure we were credited for the inconvenience. This is a beautiful and well appointed space for two couples and is in a spectacular location. We would certainly come back.

Gorgeous condo with spacious rooms, good sized kitchen with all utensils and amenities you need and beautiful balconies off each bedroom and the living area each with a beautiful ocean view. Access to all the features of the Shana is a nice touch and the beach near the property is quiet and secluded. Being perched on the mountainside gives beautiful views. The downside to this is that the property is on a steep incline so be ready for a good leg workout but they do have staff that will transport you around in a golf cart if needed. The place is very close to grocery stores and the beautiful Emilio's café which is a must see. It is also minutes from Manuel Antonio park and the downtown area and the beautiful Espadilla beach where you can shop for souvenirs, get surf lessons, rent boogie boards and even do parasailing. There was so much to do all within a 15 minute drive max. The place was kept immaculate and the washer and dryer were super convwnient. A true paradise.

Most tours will pick up and drop off at the hotel. We found the deck to be the perfect place to sit and watch the wildlife. We stayed for 9 days and enjoyed every minute. Just be aware that grocery stores are hard to find. The stores listed in the welcome packet are more like mini marts, no produce or meat. There is a MaxiPali just outside of Quepos, about a 15 minute drive that offers more extensive groceries.

This condo is beautiful, well appointed kitchen,
nice layout. the beds were very firm(too firm for me, but my husband liked them). The view is AMAZING! the pool /ocean view with trees and natural surroundings create a tropical paradise right from your living room/and very spacious porch areas. In the am, We saw monkeys on restaurant roof , so fun to watch. In the afternoon we saw toucans fly from one tree to next.
We are in good physical shape for two 60 year olds... the steep climb to and from the Biesanz beach could be an issue for some. Also the walk to and from the pool/restuarant is steep. but if you need a ride, there is a golf cart shuttle. Although in Condo, and not at hotel, the hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Concierge, Valeria ,was very helpful with transportation and tours. We loved the pizza and the tuna at the restaurant, Buru cafe near the Espadilla beach in town and Emilios restaurant in town. If you don't have a car, you will need a taxi. We walked to main road once, and took city bus, bus was great, the walk to main road was steep and narrow. We would definitely stay at Shana again .

From the moment my friend and I arrived, we knew we had chosen a very special place. I had contact with Kent and Valeria before we arrived and both were extremely helpful.
The condo was perfect for us, we each had our own lovely bedroom with equal views of the ocean. We spent lots of time on our balcony enjoying the views and the playful monkeys who came to visit. We even had a resident sloth in the tree near the Adults Pool. Speaking of pools, that’s another thing we enjoyed. There were many children there, playing in the larger pool so it was lovely to venture over and hang out and swim in the adult pool. Our only complaint there was a large boom box that blared out loud, pounding music. The staff at the resort were all wonderful and make our stay even more enjoyable. We became very friendly with the waitstaff ( especially at “happy hour” and the golf cart drivers who took us up and down the steep road to and from the pool/restaurant area. At the end our 2 weeks, we were very sad to leave and hope to one day return and stay in this beautiful condo. Life is good.

What an amazing experience! Beautiful view of the ocean, pool and surrounding jungle. While during our stay we found 2 sloths, 3 different species of monkeys and a toucan. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Beds and condo accommodations were like being at home, very comfortable everything you need!! We will be back

The property is gorgeous and very well maintained. Love, love, love that it’s part of a hotel but you have space and privacy of very large condo. Walking distance to one of our favorite beaches too! Everyone was so nice and helpful! We have rented this property before and will definitely come back again! Thank you for a fantastic time.

Great stay/location
Great unit. Lots of room. Kitchen was well stocked. Comfortable beds. Netflix available for rainy nights with the kids. Loved sitting outside on the balcony overlooking the pool with monkeys climbing outside on the trees.
Everyone was super friendly. Easy to get to beaches and MA park.

Everything about this property and the team was outstanding! The property was located close by all the major restaurants and outdoor activities that one might want to do while in Manuel Antonio area. Access to the beach is very easy and is a nice walk. All the amenities with the property including those items inside the home exceeded our expectations. We would most definitely recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in a resort style community!

It's furnished with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including a full kitchen, 2 king sized bedrooms and 2.5 baths. It even comes with beach chairs. A very helpful, friendly staff, reserved parking, a nice restaurant, pool, bar and a great elevated back porch for dining and viewing the ocean, sunsets and the toucans and monkeys.

I can see for other guests you may need to park further away (have to walk up/down a steep hill), but for this place it was a great perk to have that close spot after a long day out having an adventure! The small beach is not far and half of which is a short walk on a trail with many monkeys. That beach is small, no waves and great for younger kids. My teens were more interested in large waves, so we really enjoyed the beach near the park.

Shana Paradise
Our entire experience at Shana by the Beach was fantastic. From the lunches and drinks by the pool, to the almost daily entourage of Capuchin and Squirrel monkeys that visited us on our balcony. Everything about the condo was great, and we will definitely be back! Pura Vida!

Fabulous Ocean View Condo!
Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young adult kids) had the most wonderful time while staying at this condo in the Shana by the Beach Resort! This unit has spectacular views of the ocean, the jungle, the pool and all of the wildlife you could want! There are 2 suites with ensuite bathrooms, both with ocean facing views and balconies as well as an additional 1/2 bath in the common area. The kitchen was well equipped and the space overall worked perfectly for our group. We had monkeys on our patio daily and we also saw monkeys playing and climbing all over the resort daily! The resort offers an adults only pool in addition to the main pool area which we utilized daily. The restaurant has great food and drinks and wonderful staff. They also have a private trail down to the "hidden beach" which is a great spot to relax without having to make the drive to the main beach.
The condo is a short distance to the main Manuel Antonio area with great restaurants and shops. You do need to taxi unless you are up for a REAL hike uphill, but it is not expensive and the resort will call a taxi for you when needed. We also had some amazing food at a few of the resorts near by.
Communication with Kent the property manager was great and prompt. He scheduled our private round trip transport from the San Jose airport which was seamless. He was so helpful with any questions and helped us book a zipline excursion that was AMAZING! He also scheduled our return Covid tests right at the condo which was very convenient.
Overall, we love Manuel Antonio and this condo was the best of everything! I would highly recommend this rental to anyone wanting to experience all of the beauty and wildlife of the area! We will be back!

Condo: Everything we needed in kitchen, very nice layout for family of 6, totally clean and well furnished with linens, well thought out amenities e.g. cooler for day trips, BEAUTIFUL location in a very safe area where we were treated with regular wildlife visitors- monkeys, macaws, easy walk down to closest beach through a tropical jungle.

Beach is a bit of a walk but worth it. Only issue was enforcement of reserved parking spot, but that’s not the fault of owner by any means.
