Walker beach house was probably one of the few house that still have access to the famous soft sandy beach at Lanikai. We enjoyed the houses easy access to the beach, however, the house was broken in on the 2nd to the last night of our staying, more than $10,000 worth of jewelry and belongings were stolen. There were signs in the house to remind us to lock away our valuables, but my designer bags didn’t fit the small safe in the closet. We filed the police report, and they asked if there is any security cameras installed since the last burglary just a few months ago. We were also told by the police that there were few other homes were burglarized that week. I suggested to the property manager, he said he will bring it up to the owner. We understand this can happen to any where and anyone. We have been coming to Hawaii every summer for the past 20years and this was the first time it happened. I just want to bring this to the owner’s attention to install a security camera .

This property view is unbeatable and one of the few available licensed short-term rentals. One of the most beautiful vacations home with all the amenities, direct access to the beach and a short bike ride to Kailua. You won't be disappointed.

Property is beautiful and perfect. A lot of space and everything a family needs for a vacation house. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook as much as we wanted, there were plenty of beach chairs, toys, and coolers --- truly everything you need! And the house was so comfortable and spacious! LOVED IT!

Walker’s Lanikai Beach is quintessential Hawaii combined with luxury of a beachfront estate! 10 out of 10 for this amazing estate...1) With picture window views that make you feel like you’re on a cruise ship with the home seemingly floating on water. 2) Main house with 3 BR combined with the guest cottage suite and upstairs Boat house with full amenities like living, kitchen, bedroom and loft make it perfect for groups or multi-families.3) Split ACs in the bedrooms, cottage and boat house!4) Living room windows and floor level shutters of main house open and provide the most amazing natural A/C ocean breeze that keeps you comfortable during the summer days5) Views of the mokes from the amazing back yard with large outdoor dining table for dinners and multiple lounge chairs make for the perfect setting to chillax and take in the world class views6) Amenities are plentiful from the gas grill to the overstocked garage full of everything you can imagine to compete your beach vacation such as lounge chairs, beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, boogie boards, double washer/dryer units, ice chests, etc.All you need to bring is your aloha spirit and make Walkers Lanikai your heaven on earth!

This property is the Best!! From the main house to the cottage and the boathouse, it was truly amazing! The Beach house is right next to the beach. The Beach house had everything we needed for my whole family to come together and heal. This house, this house…💓
We were a family group of 11 ranging in age from 7 to 70.
There are three separate living spaces, each family had a ‘place’…making it so easy to be together. Mostly though, we gathered in the main living room, playing games, working on puzzles, staring at that turquoise ocean.
There were so many places to ‘hang out’ on the property. The kids loved the lawn area, I loved the porch, lunches out back by the ocean, the beach (!).
Steven welcomed us with a fun gift basket of treats that we all enjoyed.
A beautiful, comfortable, and well appointed home!

I grew up here in Kailua, and spent most of my childhood on Lanikai beach. One of my childhood friend’s great great grandfather built this house and this was one of the first homes built in Lanikai - so it’s quite special.
The property is immaculate. The view when walking into the family room will forever leave an impression. This home still has its old Hawai’i charm to it, and up kept beautifully.
My family and friends were honored to stay at this property and would do it again I. A heartbeat.
If O’ahu is the gathering isle, this is the home that stands true to why that is.

It was love at first sight, this rental was everything our group of 14 was looking for. Direct access to Lanikai beach, mellow waves, tons of sea turtles and enough space for us all to relax and hang-out. Located, walking distance from the pillbox hike and several local restaurants we couldn't ask for more. On the few occasions we decided to venture out, it was an easy drive to Oahu (30 mins) or even the North shore (1 hour).Overall the property was very clean and had many beach toys, chairs, etc. We even rented a kayak from down the street for 3 days that sat on the dock for easy access into the ocean. The kitchen was spacious enough to prepare big meals and had all appliances/tools needed. Room AC worked amazing and kept us cool and comfortable at night. Would love to come back to Walker House!

Exceptional place to enjoy Hawaii with your family! Uncomparable view, well maintained and so well managed…we were pampered (hats off to Steven!). We had five adult couples and space aplenty for each to have there own sleeping space. A beautiful property that we would choose again and again.

A Monumental Success
There are really no ways that we can suggest for improving this property , We entered the door, unpacked our luggage, and then felt completely at home. The ocean view was spectacular and I especially enjoyed the ocean breezes that flowed through the vents situated below the large picture windows. Being able to step out the door and down to a beautiful beach within minutes was so luxurious. Members of the family were in and out of the water from early morning to late night. The layout was perfect for a group of 12 with a large age range. Plenty of room to gather and places for privacy. The kitchen provided the space and equipment to feed the crowd, although it got a little crazy at dinner times.
I don't believe we could have found a more perfect place in which to hold our large family reunion. It was a monumental success.

This home is amazing!!!! Yes, it is “Home” not a house. Elegant but Simple at the same time. Embodies Aloha throughout. The photos, as beautiful as they are, do not offer the sounds of the Ocean that are literally in your backyard. You are at the remote end if one of the most beautiful beaches in the World and you can take it all in from the full wall of windows in the living room. The separate spaces work so well for our family. The Carriage house with a queen bedroom and a full punee. Along with a kitchenette and full bathroom. Then The Boat House, queen bedroom, loft with full bed, full kitchen and bathroom and living area. And now the Main house...master bedroom with queen bed and private bathroom, a second oceanfront queen bedroom and a third queen bedroom with a shared main bath. The kitchen is amazing...we are a family of Chefs and this kitchen does not disappoint. The main part of the home is where we would father regularly to start our day...truly the heart of the home. Stephen, our property manager, was out of town in this trip but made sure to set up up and check on us to ensure we were being taking care of. Barbea our booking agent is so kind and efficient throughout the booking process. We will be returning in January 2024 and many years to come. Unfortunately there were some cleaning issues which should never occur with the prices paid for this rental. Had to have housecleaners come to take care of poop on one of the beds on the first day. We were told that it from gecko's but later found it was from cockroaches. The white towels were stained and issues with termites. Overall we were happy with the rental but again thought prices were quite high for the issues we encountered.

What an amazing location and property. The attention to detail is outstanding. The only thing we needed was our own food. Everything else was provided. The welcome basket was a very nice treat. The management team were great with communication and recommendations.
It really was the perfect place for our family to celebrate Christmas.
I will note that the loft bed in the boathouse is truly a loft. You need to climb up a ladder that interestingly is the door to the bathroom to access. It was fine for our teenage nieces.
We loved hearing the ocean from any room. Our weather wasn’t the best, but when we could we enjoyed sitting in the lounge chairs overlooking the ocean and watching the kite surfers. Mahalo for a memorable vacation.

Amazing house and location
What an amazing location and property. The attention to detail is outstanding. The only thing we needed was our own food. Everything else was provided. The welcome basket was a very nice treat. The management team were great with communication and recommendations.

The view, access to nice beach, ability to accommodate multiple families and amazing views made this a great place for our group of two families. And the sea turtle that seems to live in waters right off the back porch was a pleasant surprise.

Classic Lanikai Beach House. Great condition for an 80+ year old home but the old girl shows her age in some areas. Keeping the freezer door closed was a constant challenge but not a big deal. Last house with some sand so walking the beach was no problem. Never used the A/C; the trade winds keep things very comfortable.

Excellent house and location, surpasses expectations
The view, access to nice beach, ability to accommodate multiple families and amazing views made this a great place for our group of two families. And the sea turtle that seems to live in waters right off the back porch was a pleasant surprise.

Family Vacation
Classic Lanikai Beach House. Great condition for an 80+ year old home but the old girl shows her age in some areas. Keeping the freezer door closed was a constant challenge but not a big deal. Last house with some sand so walking the beach was no problem. Never used the A/C; the trade winds keep things very comfortable.

The John Walker House on Lanikai Beach was the only place we've stayed in many, many years of travel that was perfect - in every way. We were a family of 8 - a reunion of sorts...we were in love with the house and everything about it in the first 20 minutes there. We had many excursions & outings planned - but, in fact, we didn't do many of them and actually never wanted to leave our beautiful home for the 8 days we were there.

This is our 2nd stay at the Walker House and it was even more magical this time! We traveled with 6 adults and 9 kids that LOVED every second of it. Kids were able to snorkel everyday and see tons of beautiful sea coral or colorful fishes and the best part was getting to swim with sea turtles every day!!!! Adults were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful view that accompanied our meals everyday!!! The only bad part I can say about our visit was that after 10 days it had to come to an end😭😭😭😭 Other then that we had such an epic time!!!! Staff was also very responsive to our questions! Looking forward to returning to our magical place hopefully very soon!!!!

Stayed at this property for a week. It was simply wonderful. Upon walking into the great room, I was gobsmacked by the view. We couldn’t have been happier. The layout of the property gave everyone space, to read, gather, or retreat. We rented ocean gear for the week to make use of the incredible ocean side location, and the ocean ramp. Steven, the manager, provided a lovely welcome basket of yummy local snacks that were much appreciated. As well as good recommendations on vendors and restaurants. If we had a question, he was quick to respond to our texts. For us the location, meant that we didn’t drive much at all, maximizing our time doing exactly what we wanted, rather than stuck in traffic. We snorkeled daily, paddled to the Mokes and Bird Island, I walked to beach yoga before dawn, walked to groceries and restaurants and good shops (2 easy miles). After a couple of bluebottle siphonophores got my son and I while we were out on the SUPs, the kids took a break from the water and enjoyed playing on the lawn and running around the dry sand, accessible directly from the property. Being windward was no problem, because retreating inside was so comfortable and the view suffered not at all; after a day in the sun and waves, I would read my books facing the large windows, looking up to check on the surfers off Bird Island, and every once in a while pinch myself.

This house was absolutely fantastic. We can not say enough great things about it. Booking was easy even though we had to postpone the original trip for one year because of the pandemic. Contactless check in was very well done. When we arrived, the house was spotless, well appointed with everything a family might need, including all kitchen needs, towels, beach toys, books to read, everything, really! The house manager was readily available when ever we needed to contact him. There was nothing I can say the was overlooked. A beautiful welcome basket was a lovely touch. We had a glorious time there at Walker's Beach House. I wish I could give more stars on the review.
