We stayed here for three nights in the hope of using it as a base for seeing Gallipoli and it didn't disappoint. Mama Di Marco and Marco were the best hosts! Embarrassingly we didn't know alot of Italian so our communication was limited to basic words or hand gestures but they never failed to make us feel at home and welcome. Mama Di Marcos breakfasts were a treat, picking fresh fruit from the garden each morning and sending us out for the day with a bag of fruit. We were using public transport to get around Italy and B&B Marchese was perfect as there was a bus stop at the top of the street with bus line 108 bringing you to Gallipoli and Lecce and also along the coastal route to the very south (download app 'mycicero' for up to date bus times) also make sure you buy your ticket before boarding the bus or make sure to have cash as we had trouble trying to pay with card. The beach is at the bottom of the street and great for watching sunsets with a bottle of wine. Love from Ireland ☘ Christina & Adrian :)
