Let me start by saying that the photos do not do justice to the beautiful yard and outdoor space! We spent a majority of our time on the patio, beach area with fire pit, or on the couch right next to the dock. We stayed 4 nights with my parents, my family of four and my sister's family of 4; there was ample seating for all of us to enjoy the beautiful views and eat meals outside.
Inside: The kitchen is extremely well stocked with everything you need for your stay. We ate meals at the house and also prepared tailgate food for the Clemson game and had more than what we needed! The beds were all very comfortable and my kids loved the bunk beds downstairs! Plenty of pillows, blankets and towels for everyone.
The location was also fantastic - only a ten minute drive into Clemson. The only very small hiccup was that the owners were having problems with the keyless entry on the front door. I'm sure they've resolved this by now! It was easy to get in touch with them and figure out an alternative way into the house.
We had a wonderful stay and home to make this a tradition for years to come!

This was perfect. The house was beautiful and had every amenity we needed, and then some. We enjoyed the large outside living area. Doug is a wonderful host and the check in and checkout was seamless. We would love to rent again.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Doug’s lake house, the amenities and the location were perfect for an an extended weekend on Lake Keowee. We took full advantage of the beautiful backyard and the kids really enjoyed using the kayaks on the lake. The layout of the kitchen and deck was very convenient for my family, the well lit patio made it easy for our group to walk back and forth from the fire pit to the house.
I would highly recommend this property to friends and family.

This is now one of our favorite vacation homes on Lake Keowee, which is a powerful statement considering we typically host out of state family/friends there 3-4x per yr for the past 18 years!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The yard, landscaping, patio, & deck area are simply perfect for those groups who enjoy el fresco dining, yardgames, & fireside smores. The dock area is the icing on the cake with a covered comfy seating area complete w a fan & a firepit table.
Our gp of all adults spent 1 day kayaking, floating off the dock, & competing in yard olympics (badminton, cornhole, bocce, kuub, & croquet). The following days we boated.
The house location is wonderful. Quiet cul de sac in a non busy, off main channel of lake. We typically are North end lakers but were pleasantly surprised in this hidden gem south end location that offers both convenience & non busy boating for safe & enjoyable dock floating.
The home itself is completely updated & has a fantastic layout with lg bedrooms, multiple sep common spaces & a very well stocked kitchen with everything one needs to host a larger gathering of folks. The beds are comfortable. As a gp of 50 yr olds who were physically active for several consecutive days, we didnt awake to sore backs, a testament to the beds.
The property offers an element of privacy & a gentle slope easy walk to dock ...often a rarity on Keowee.
Doug was wonderful to work with. He communicated promptly & went above & beyond to accommodate our needs.

The entire stay was great. Doug was great to work with and responded to all of our inquires very quickly. I would not hesitate to stay at this home again. Plenty of room both inside and outside of the home to hang around in. The dock is great to bring a boat to and also a great place to sit and enjoy the views.

This is overall a great location just as the pictures and text describe has everything that you need for a great vacation I have rented many different houses over the last 20 years on Lake Keowee and this is in the top three

The house itself was beautiful! The proximity to the lake was also great. I love that they had a paved path instead of stairs which were easier on my knees as well as for my 2 year old grandson and pregnant daughter. The fire pit was great for unwinding together after dark. We had a blast!

Doug was very responsive with all communications and the property was ideal for our multi-generational family. The flat yard was great for frisbee and football tossing, the fire pit and patio was a scenic perch for grandparents to see the kids playing but not be in the crossfire, and the gazebo by the water was great for some shade and comfortable seating while the children played on the dock and in the water. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything we might have wanted. Kayaks and floats in the garage as well as the pool table weee enjoyed by our crew. Great spot!

My wife and kids (4 of them 12 and under) very much enjoyed our stay at the house. Accommodations were nice, house hasn't been updated in a bit but for a short stay at the lake it wasn't an issue. Kitchen was well stocked with anything we might have needed for cooking which is always appreciated, we tend to make our own meals rather than ordering out and we were not lacking anything in that regard. Plenty of beach towels that are available for use, dock was great for swimming and keeping the boat we rented, utilized the fire pit on the porch which was very nice (need your own firewood or fuel), all in all a solid place/location. The house was clean although it could probably use a deep clean. We stayed at probably the tail end of the viable season for a lake house (one of the days was a bit chilly for the kids to be boating) so may not have had a chance to do a deep clean. Overall, thumbs up.

The house is beautiful, clean, and quiet and was perfect for our stay. It has everything you could need inside and out. We could sit all day and enjoy the lakefront view. We took advantage of the kayaks and had fun exploring the lake. We were in town for Clemson Parents Weekend. It was convenient for attending activities on campus, but was also a nice retreat to enjoy some family time and home-cooked meals. The host was very easy to work with. We would definitely stay again.

Requesting and reserving was a very easy process. The property owner was very easy to work with and quick with every response. The house was very clean with the exception of the grill. But no biggie. We cleaned it and grilled out. The only thing I would suggest is getting a nice set of pots and more cooking utensils. But overall it was a great stay and we would definitely stay again.

We had the best week at this beautiful house! The dock and area down by the beach were perfect for our family. The boys fished off the dock every morning while the little girls played in the sand area. We swam off the docks every day and the water was warm and perfect. We rented a boat for the week and enjoyed being able to dock it right at our house in the nice covered slip. The house was clean and well stocked with anything you would need. We had so much room for our group. We spent a lot of time in the back garage playing ping pong and can jam. There were plenty of towels for everyone and honestly everything we needed was at the house. We walked over to the park a few times and let the kids play on the playground and even watched fireworks the first night there. We had ages 3-73 with us on this trip and every one of us had the best time! Thanks for sharing this wonderful house with our family.

Perfect getaway for big, active families
I’ve nothing but positive things to say about this home, the amenities, and the owners. Everything in the listing was accurate. The location of the home is perfect – only a few minutes drive from town (Seneca), and a quick 5-minute boat ride to the marina. The layout of the house was perfect, and gave our two families (4 adults, 4 teens, 2 kids under 5) ample room to give everyone their space during our 7-day stay. The outdoor porch and patio were large, grill was put to good use, we made smores on the firepit, and covered seating cooled by ceiling fans was perfect for hanging out. We spent hours swimming off the dock, parked a 24’ pontoon boat rental with ease, and docked a jet ski (also a rent) on the floating ski-form. The owners were super responsive to a handful of questions, and went above and beyond to get a few items back to us that we left behind by mistake. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to enjoy one of the most pristine lakes in the region. I’m already looking forward to our next stay at this property!

This house is perfect for a large family- great layout and well stocked for rental. The outdoor space is 💯and gets better every year! The yard is perfect for kids and the lake location is perfect for water sports or just enjoying swimming off the dock!

Very nice property
My family and I recently completed a two week stay at Normandy Shores. We have rented numerous properties on Lake Keowee over the years and without hesitation we would return to this one when we plan another lake vacation. Check in was a breeze and the house was clean and tidy when we arrived. The furniture and beds are all very comfortable and the downstairs area has its own den and bedrooms so there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen and the whole house in general is very well stocked and we always found whatever pots, pans, utensils we were looking for. Outside area has numerous places to sit and gather and the covered area under the deck was especially popular with nice cushioined furniture to relax on in the shade. The house is located in a quiet cove which is a big plus for swimming and fishing right off the dock. We were able to dock our boat in the covered slip instead of having to dock on the side in the broiling sun or pouring rain and we had access to both jet ski pads for our jet skis. This is a very nice plus for this property because not all owners offer this amenity. The South Cove Park boat ramp is right around the corner which is another added convenience. The owners were responsive and easy to get in touch with if we ever needed to contact them. Overall it was a great hassle free vacation and I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

We enjoyed a Friendsgiving at the Keowee Lake House and throughly enjoyed ourselves. The home is very open with plenty of space to spread out. The view is breathtaking. We had a blast!

Awesome spot on the lake
The house was perfect for our weekend trip for a wedding about 30 minutes away. The house was great and the lake was beautiful. All of the lake gear was a huge plus- kayaks, kids toys, floats, etc. Really enjoyed relaxing by the lake and it was a great swimming spot for young kids (and everyone). We had family staying at other nice houses on the lake but we much preferred this house because of the location and yard. It’s a great view with an easy walk down to the lake- their places were quite a trek down many stairs to get to the actual lake. That was a huge plus having our toddler with us. We would definitely stay here again.

Three generations of our family met at Normandy Shores for a long fall weekend. The house was perfect for our needs and the grand kids had a great time swimming and fishing off the dock. The only improvement I would suggest is there should be furniture on the main floor deck to enjoy the beautiful lake views.
