It was a prefect location for a work weekend but it would be great for a fun weekend get away. Close to everything.

We loved staying here!!!

The place is dark. Add more lights. There are no outlets in the bathroom for a hair dryer. There are no outlets in the dining area for a laptop. The kitchen is sparsely furnished. Like bare bones. The water pressure in the kitchen and bathroom sinks is next to zero. Thankfully the shower pressure was good.

I have been to Charleston many times before but this experience was the best so far, we found some new places to dine which was great, Hannah and John are great host I wish them much success in the future, see you guys next time.

Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood close to Charleston and Folly Beach, this property is ideally situated for a relaxing trip to the area, whether you want the beach or the city. A nice little gem of a place to get away to.

We brought our boat down for the long weekend, the owner allowed us to park the boat on the property which is great for us! About 8 minutes from the ramp and other Charleston favorites! The rental was exactly as described and as I imagined it would be! There are small personal touches that usually aren’t thought about when renting that shows the owner truly cares about guests and prioritizes an enjoyable stay and comfort above and beyond. The bed was comfy and the space was nice we had plenty of room not feeling like we were cramped or on top of each other. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking to stay in the area.

A lovely suburban stay in Charleston. This home is a compact divided studio with a large bathroom on an island off mainland Charleston. It was comfortable and the kitchen had reasonably good supplies. It was clean and everything was as advertised.

This property is very cute, the hostess has included some nice touches and it is tastefully decorated, which is subjective based on personal preference. The problem with this property is that the furniture is VERY uncomfortable. I made the reservation based on photos of the listing which showed a leather sofa in the living room, which meant we would have a nice place to relax at the end of busy days exploring with family, who were staying nearby. When we arrived we found that the sofa had been replaced with a second sleep area thus eliminating our living room space. It was painful to sit on to watch television even with propping pillows. I spent the entire week sitting at a kitchen table to relax and watch tv at the end of the day. The bed was soft and kind of lumpy, offering no support, the memory foam pillows were nice though putting them on a soft lumpy mattress doesn’t promote healthy rest. The mattress on the makeshift bed in the living room was also memory foam which tells me that this property isn’t meant to be a couples retreat anymore as they are trying to maximize the space to accommodate more guests. Privacy was good except that the curtains in the kitchen area do not fit so they don’t close all the way, which is a little disconcerting at night. It was just disappointing to find that alterations had been made before we arrived and we weren’t given any kind of warning or opportunity to change our accommodations. We checked out a day early because honestly, we were both so stiff and sore every morning that we couldn’t stand the idea of another night in that bed or having no living room to relax together in. In the interest of full disclosure the host really needs to update the photos and give an accurate description of the type of furniture being used. I will say that the host was very responsive when we thought water was leaking from the fridge and we lost all internet access one night that was restored the next day. The location is ok. We had to drive to everything but that wasn’t unexpected. Folly Beach is about 10 minutes, Charleston was less than 30 minutes. The Angel Oak was about 25 minutes. Overall I would advise against this property if you have back pain of any kind as comfort is not the priority.

We really enjoyed our stay in this suite. Very private from main house. We loved the location and the fact we could bring our pup along. The host provides all you need and we were very comfortable! The only thing we could have wished for was a washer and dryer but besides that 5 stars!

We loved staying here! Very convenient to Folly Beach and downtown Charleston. Very clean. Highly recommend. It would be tight with more than 2 adults in my opinion. Perfect for 2 with one or two young children.

The house is well stocked, with items we wouldn’t have thought about. We LOVED the special touches of bottles of water, chocolates, and coffee ready for us when we got up on Saturday morning. Everything was clean and very well maintained and we loved that the space could be closed off from the living/kitchen area as we had our 3 month old baby tag along with us. The covered porch was perfect for coffee in the mornings and drinks in the evenings. All in all we truly loved our stay and would be delighted to stay there again! Thanks so much!

Everything about Hannah’s cottage was well thought out, furnished and designed. From the covered patio with Jasmine vines to one of the most comfortable mattresses, the cottage was both private, well-appointed and relaxing. The proximity to downtown Charleston, local beaches art galleries and amazing restaurants Makes this a perfect getaway!

It was a good location and a nice neighborhood to stay in — we stayed for 5 days and the room/space of the Vrbo was nice to have even with just two people. Neighbors are at times a little noisy but not too late into the night nor excessively early so it was manageable. We enjoyed it!

It was in a super location where we could go into Downtown, Folly beach and beautiful gardens and a great vineyard / winery. So close to great restaurants and a Harris Teeter a half a mile away. Not to mention a fantastic Outdoor space!! We are hoping to come back soon 🥰

Such a cozy guest home. Appreciated it's seclusion - peace and quiet with less traffic - great location. Far enough off the chaos, yet super close to all the action downtown! House was perfect for the two of us. Very clean and enjoyable. Fantastic hosts. Great amenities. Everything we were looking for. 5 stars. Look forward to staying in the future!

Great stay, easy check in, lots of privacy, clean property! We’d come back.

This place is definitely small, but fine for two people. This is not a high-quality place though. It is clean and perfectly suitable, but it isn't a "5-star" quality place. The front door doesn't close all the way leaving a huge gap to allow heat & a/c to escape. The walls to the bathroom don't go all the way to the ceiling, which could be for design purposes, but it is not practical in this place - smells and sounds travel everywhere. The wall heater is EXTREMELY loud and made it difficult to get to sleep. Don't get me wrong this is an okay place to stay, but just keep in mind if you are accustomed to nice, high-end rentals this is not it.

We had a great time at this spot. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The cottage is detached from the main house and sepaated by a fence. You have your own parking spot (we backed into it every night to make it easier to get out of). There is a full kitchen, coffe maker, and plenty of towels and dishes. The bed is comfortable and the TV has netflix and prime. They allow use of the washer/dryer inside the main house with a little coordination, but a standalone washer/dryer in the unit would have been really convenient if we were staying longer. The home is an easy 10min to downtown. There are some great restaurants on james island, but we spent the bulk of our time downtown and the commute was actually enjoyable (nice view driving into downtown across the water). The area of the cottage seems to be a nice little neighborhood, but I did hear what sounded like gun shots at about 4am one morning. Not quite sure what happened there, but had no other issues or concerns the rest of the trip. We had some bad luck with the weather for most of our stay, so we didnt get to enjoy the patio area... But I think that would be a nice little area to eat dinner or lunch at. Thank you for a wonderful trip!
