We had an absolutely amazing time! The views are beautiful. It was so nice to get away. The host communicated very well about check-in process and what to expect before we got there. He was very thoughtful to check the roads the same day to make sure we would be okay as it had snowed. The property is well equipped! Anything we forgot was there for us. The host made sure everything was good to go before we arrived and even made sure there was coffee, milk, and eggs! It is such a nice cozy cabin! We also really enjoyed the hot tub and fire place. There were lots of lady bugs in the house looking for warmth but they didn't bother us at all and I see them as a sign of good luck. Will definitely be trying to go back some day.

We stayed over Christmas weekend. The home had all the amenities we needed, host generously provided a variety of groceries, and the area was beautiful, tranquil, and serene.

Within 15min we were setlled in drinking wine on the porch listening to the creek across the road. It was amazingly peaceful and the hottub was perfect. Its in the middle of nowhere (witch we loved) so bring you favorite snacks and whatever you want to cook for breakfast. The house was fully loaded and even had some food there already. We would definitely stay again

Perfect! Relaxing, well stocked, with easy to follow instructions. Hot tub! When they say they have eggs and other stuff, believe them. We brought our own, but eggs, milk, rice, pasta, and more are available. Near hiking trails and off road trails.

Property is nice, great back yard space enjoyed the deck, fire pit, outdoor shower and hot tub. Internet was good just be aware possibility of no cell service, we did not have any. Very close to Crabtree Falls hike. Was perfect for a few nights away.

My wife and I stayed for a few nights mid week (early Nov.) and didn't see a soul the whole time we were there, just the falling leaves and the sound of the river. The cabin was nicely appointed and well stocked as indicated in the listing; it was very cozy. Communication with Scott was amazing prior to our arrival as he made sure we knew everything about the cabin and the surrounding area (how to stay cozy indoors, where to eat, where to hike, etc.). In addition to the mountain road along the river in front of the cabin, we found a nice place to hike a few miles away and enjoyed some lunch and great cider. If you want a quiet place to spend a few days with your significant other, I highly recommend White Rock Cabin.

Terrific location and easy to find. Owners very communicative and provide a lot of information for a comfortable stay. Back deck is perfect for peaceful relaxing with lovely perennials and the sound of the river across the road.

We came for anniversary get away
Loved the quiet isolation and the sound of the stream. There were two different great spots to relax out doors. Having a hot tub and EV charging were great assets. The owner provided great info on local hikes and stores. The walk on the road right by house and Crabtree falls were both really nice. The house is well stocked and very pretty inside and out. The owners have a lovely approach to gardening and there are lots of native and other plants strategically placed around the house. The owners were very nice to work with and very responsive. Be aware that you will be deep into the mountains and internet etc are iffy....we used the existing internet to try to watch tv but couldnt figure it out (but we are old and not tech savvy.)

This is such a beautiful stay. We enjoyed the comfort of the house and the access to the outdoors. We brought our own food and had an easy time preparing everything in house. We loved this stay that we’re now manifesting our own River home. The only thing we wish was listed was the gravel road to get onto the property, but that’s all! Thank you so much for offering such a wonderful place for people to rest.

We just took a weekend away on our anniversary for peace, & quiet, new hiking & exploring adventures and possibly some fly fishing. Our hike up Crabtree falls was beautiful but challenging for my old knees but we made it to the top & back. The cabin & owner were excellent. The only thing that would of made the trip better would have been more cooperative weather.

This was a fantastic little hidden gem. It’s a nice, quiet place and is perfect if you want to get away from everything. The house was clean and spacious and the hot tub was a nice plus. I would happily stay here again.

My fiancé and I and our two dogs loved our stay in Scotts cabin! We enjoyed walks down the road along the beautiful river, exploring nearby hikes and food/drink, evenings in the hot tub, and borrowing books to read about the people that have made their lives in the area. We hope to visit again in the future! Scott was an excellent host!

The house and accommodations that the host provide are what make the property. This is a cabin you can stay in most of the day if needed. We were snowed in one day and just watched tv/ played games and sat in the hot tub. Hiking locations are great but make sure to download the routes while at the house because there is little to no service within 20 minutes of the house. Wi-Fi at the house is good enough to watch YouTube or other things most of the time. It goes out a bit. Heat and ac is nice.

The cabin is exactly as pictured. It’s charming and comfortable, making for a great getaway. Scott provides all the information you would need to make for a great stay. Close to Crabtree Falls, which was a lovely hike and about 30 minutes from Wintergreen. Would absolutely recommend this cabin and location to folks.

Adorable chalet in the mountains!! Just go ahead and book!! The host left no stone unturned in the way of comfort. Fully stocked with everything you might need and so close to awesome hiking trails with a swinging bridge and even a section of the Appalachian trail. Perfectly close for skiing at wintergreen which we did for a day. Cozy and comfortable with an entire list of Q&As that addressed all areas of the community. We will definitely be back!! So much fun!! The host even contacted us to ensure the temperature of the home was perfect and walked us through the heating/air capabilities, above and beyond A++++ 5 stars!

My husband and I needed a respite from Christmas events-/family and friends and found it here! We stayed three nights and enjoyed cooking together ( plenty of extras in the kitchen), reading, and the secluded hot tub. The coffee from the French press was outstanding! The queen bed was comfortable and the fan over the bed was perfect. The owner was Johnny on the spot when the power went off and was very hospitable with signs inviting us to use anything in fridge, cabinets, bathroom. The spot was so peaceful- one day we only saw 1 car- the mailman all day! Just what the doctor ordered! We would definitely come again for a break or rent the three houses nearby NorthFork Cabins for a family weekend near the Tye River!

Loved everything about the place. Property and location were perfect. Hot tub, fire, and hiking were highlights. Scott is excellent host, great communication and nice extras that were included by him. Close to Wintergreen ski resort was great too.

My wife and I stayed for a few nights with our two dogs. Great property and location. Hiked and visited wineries during the day and relaxed at night. We really enjoyed the kitchen. Wifi was good enough for email and researching trail maps so it was perfect for us. Will definitely visit again.

Such a beautiful area and cabin! We could have stayed at the cabin the whole time and be happy. It’s so cozy! The location is perfect with so much to see and do in the surrounding areas! Beautiful drives if love windy mountain roads. We will definitely be back and highly reccomend!!

Our family had a great time on our yearly Christmas trip. The house was exactly as described. Location is great and the river is amazing. And the beds were so comfy. The owners left milk, eggs & wine for us. They were great at communicating as well. Thanks for everything!

Place was great! Getting there is a bit confusing and the road is odd, but overall very nice and very secluded. You legit have zero cell service so plan accordingly. The host was super friendly and accommodating - best host I have ever booked with.

This place was so fully stocked it made the stay very comfortable. The hot tub was fantastic. The nearby hiking opportunities allowed for choices of types of trails including a piece of the Appalachian trail. We liked the location along a winding road above a beautiful stream on the edge of a forest. No TV, but internet was an asset for us. Scott is very accessible. We would return!

I have rented many different homes but this lovely place in the Virginia mountains is the best appointed by far. Everything you could possibly need is there for you to use with instructions from the host to make use of any and everything. The cabin is cute and very clean. The outdoor areas are comfortable and allow you to enjoy the incredible mountain scenery. The host makes you feel welcome at every turn and responds quickly to any questions. Thanks so much for a perfect weekend.

I didn't actually end up staying at Scott's property due to Hurricane Ian, but I felt compelled to write a review anyway. Scott was WONDERFUL to deal with. He communicated regularly with me while we were trying to make a decision whether or not to travel and he offered me many options. I will definitely book again. Thanks, Scott!

My partner and I spent a few nights in this cabin tucked in the secluded forested Shenandoah mountainside across from a flowing river and our only regret was not having more time! It was very romantic and felt like a true home away from home. A real chef's kitchen with plenty of cooking supplies - we appreciated the extra purchase of eggs, milk, and other commodities made freshly available for our use. Not a light or person in sight as we enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor shower either day or night. We arrived after dark and was able to find the cabin just fine thanks to the directions and motion-detector lights. Our pups loved exploring the gardens and we enjoyed watching the wildlife. We had everything we could have needed and more for our entire stay and will absolutely be back. The host was hands-down one of the most caring and giving hosts I've encountered in the "BnB" business. Thank you immensely!

Beautiful house tucked away in the Virginia wine country.
There is a lot of wineries and hiking in the area. I would highly recommend 12 Peaks Winery the views are breathtaking.
If you want to just relax at home the hot tub is great for a soak.
Owner was really nice as well as very responsive.
The welcome sheet is accurate so make sure to read it.
Would definitely stay here again.
