Stayed a few nights with our young children. The top floor is fantastic, great views of the ocean and very spacious. Hosts were very communicative and responsive. Recommended!

Amazing views and location - just steps to the beach, ample garage space. Stocked house, though amenities are universally not modern (and some small features didn't work - e.g., hot water knob for the bathtub in the master bedroom just leaked water on the tub sides and floor, so we never could use it).
Need to be honest about one major issue - unfortunately need to echo feedback from other renters on cleanliness of the house upon arrival. Not sure if the owners use their own or VRBO cleaners, but it was truly unacceptable, and they need to fire them and find a new service immediately. We took many pictures to document these issues (including before and after).
It was to an extent where we went to the nearest Safeway to stock up on ~$150 of cleaning supplies including a Swiffer, and ultimately spent 6-7 hours over 2 days cleaning the place to acceptable levels (in addition to laundering all bedsheets and comforters). Not how we thought we'd be spending a beach vacation.
There was built-up grime in every corner and crevice, old dried up sand under every carpet, dead bugs on every window sill, dirty windows which hadn't been touched in ages (some Windex and elbow grease got the job done, besides those which were not safely in reach), rugs and any fabric surfaces were old, stained, and musty, and the outdoor spaces were... well let's just say large dried up bird droppings on every outdoor table and the ground, which didn't appear to have been swept this year.

This house is NOT your ordinary beach rental. It is furnished in a grand style, with (almost) everything up to date and in working order.

Spent the week in Rio Del Mar with family and friends. Wonderful home. So close to the beach. Incredible views from the assorted decks. Comfortable home with three bedrooms. The top floor great room (kitchen, dining, living) was perfect for our family gatherings. Ample room, soft, open furniture. Kitchen was well supplied. A great bonus was to have the elevator that enabled us to move our supplies in and out of the home easily. Definitely would love to rent again. The house managers were phenomenal, very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great week!

Very nice house with a great view of the bay. Spacious and lovely. Lots of stairs but there's an elevator too. Bring your binoculars!

This property has an amazing view of the ocean and easy proximity to the beach. We visited on a rainy February weekend but still had a fabulous time! The house is beautiful, the kitchen well-equipped and there are sand toys and body boards available which is a welcome addition when traveling with children. Highly recommended!

We had a great time at this house. Great view and beach access. Lots of seating for meals, game night and movies. Sitting on the deck we saw whales, dolphins and seals swim by.

Great location. Just steps from the beach, which was so convenient. It's a quiet area of the beach, which was perfect for us. We celebrated my parents 60th wedding anniversary by renting the house and spending a few days in Aptos. It was wonderful. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Large home with spectacular views. Elevator from garage to living and sleeping levels. Great for 6. Possible for 8 with mats on floor. Well stocked with essentials - silverware, pots, pans, coffee maker (12 cup brewer) - large fridge, washer & dryer, etc. We had a great 4 days showing out of town family the Monterey Peninsula. Highly recommend.

Well stocked with essentials - silverware, pots, pans, coffee maker (12 cup brewer) - large fridge, washer & dryer, etc. We had a great 4 days showing out of town family the Monterey Peninsula. We had a fantastic experience here! There were a couple of small quirks such as some worn furniture, but overall we had everything we needed for a great stay! There were an abundance of sand toys in the garage along with some beach chairs, and an umbrella. We did find a pack n play in the master bedroom closet (we brought our own though). The kitchen is stocked with everything you can imagine so there are plenty of utensils, pans, and supplies to cook with. My only ‘complaint’ is that it left no cabinet or pantry space for our non perishable groceries. It wasn’t a big deal though. The display on the oven portion of the stove was difficult to read, but we got it to work! The second floor with the bedrooms is decently quiet, which was wonderful having five kids in the house. I loved that the living room and kitchen were on the third floor! We would definitely stay here again!

We rented this property for the location! I’m originally from the area and was so happy to take my family and kids back for a truly enjoyable getaway. The beach access and quietness of the gated neighborhood was exactly what we needed. The house itself was great. With Covid I was a little unsettled on the sticky stair hand rails and amount of dust on ceiling fans etc.
This place is five star potential for sure. We enjoyed our stay. We saw dolphins from the decks, and loved hearing the crashing of the waves! A few things... I couldn’t find Dish soap (we went and bought some) or salt when needed (all out in canister). I know you are conserving water, but maybe a hose nozzle at the outside faucet to Quickly wash the sand off our feet would be very helpful. Oh and definitely got our workout in with all the stairs which we didn’t mind. Upstairs Wood toilet seat needs replacing ( we refused to use it). Again great place, I think it just needs a deep clean in kitchen, stair rails, dusting Dept. We’d definitely probably rent it again. Owners were great. From a VRBO renter to another I hope this comes as positive feed back. Easy fixes for a fabulous vacation home! Hope to be back again soon!

The kitchen has plenty of workspace with all the necessities and more. A few small upgrades would make this a 5-star property—the addition of an umbrella and propane grill on the deck, and the removal of some broken deck chairs. Otherwise, it was very well-appointed. It feels like a beloved family home, which makes it truly special. We felt very at home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic Beach Property.
Just as advertised!!! Private, Clean, Quiet, and steps from the beach. Easy check in and out. Wifi is fast and strong. Great place to work from if needed, but its hard to get anything done with that view. Will definitely stay here again!!!!!

Perfect Beach Vacation
We very much enjoyed staying right on Beach Drive. The 641 Beach Drive property allowed beautiful ocean views with just a few steps to the water. Perfect for our family, including two kids and grandparents.

Fabulous Property
We had the best stay! The weather was perfect! Sunsets phenomenal! The house was great. We could see and hear the ocean from each bedroom and the living areas. The kitchen was well stocked and the elevator was very handy for transporting luggage/groceries. Only steps from the beach. Our 1 1/2 year old granddaughter had the best time running to the beach. The owner was exceptional. Very happy with our stay. We will be back!

Had a great girls weekend. This home fit all seven of us comfortably. The kitchen was perfect for our group and had everything we needed. Cozy living room and the bedrooms were perfect space for all of us to sleep comfortably. We had a wonderful stay!

Fantastic Week!
This property was great! We stayed the week and loved it. The house is very comfortable with everything you will need. The kitchen was fully stocked with every pan or bowl that you will need. I cooked our Thanksgiving meal with no issues and didn't have to buy anything except the food. The beach is just a few steps from the house. We hope to be back next year.

Amazing house and views!
I will be back for sure! I loved the lay out. Every bedroom had ocean view. Nothing like the sound of the ways rolling in! The elevator was a life saver with bring luggage in and out as well as groceries . Not to mention just way cool! It was one of the best girls weekend away we have ever had! Thank you so much for making your home available for us to create more memories!

Fantastic retreat for family get together
Diana was extremely accommodating and made our trip easy and relaxing! We celebrated my grandmothers 90th birthday and she loved watching the ocean from any seat in the house. All of our bedrooms opened to a balcony and view of the beach. The master has a huge walk in closet where we put our pack and play and my daughter slept great. The house had everything we needed including an elevator! The beach was a stones throw away and the sunsets were breathtaking. We all want to come back! Thank you for an amazing stay Diana and Kirk!
