Very cozy and welcoming space, the rooms are large and super comfy! Kitchen area was great and well-equipped. Also appreciated the abundant parking! Close proximity to the Brightwood store and Tavern, and easy access to hwy 26. Low enough in elevation to not need chains to get up to the house. Very friendly neighbors as well! The beautiful view overlooking the Sandy River was the cherry on top!

Beautiful location if interested in enjoying Mt. Hood trails and waterfalls. Very relaxing at the home! Comfortable beds. Could use more seating in living room.

My family checked in on Thursday and stayed 3 nights. Directions to the cabin and checking in was easy. The home is quite large, and the 7 of us had plenty of room for sleeping, cooking, playing games, and even quiet reflection outdoors. A fire ban was in place, so we didn't get to enjoy campfires, but we enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table. The dining table is massive. The kitchen had plenty of equipment though some is a bit worn, and some items like foil/plastic wrap and kitchen rags/oven mits were absent. We made do easily enough or made short trips to the small store in Brightwood if needed. The space around the cabin is not fenced, and the bank of the river is a tumbled wall of large boulders 6-8 ft or so high up to the cabin property. This gave us a little cause for concern about our dogs, but it proved easily managed as they saw the drop and were appropriately cautious. The property is well tended but forested, so there is no lawn (not that we expected a lawn). The weather was pretty hot (for Oregon), and the house has ceiling fans but no AC, and ventilating the house to cool it was tricky in that the back door had no screen on it, so getting good ventilation involved leaving the door wide open. Overall, we enjoyed the home and our stay quite nicely.

Over all the place was amazing. The hot tub was probably the coolest part along with the view and the fact that there is a fire pit out there. It's really close to Mount Hood so you can go there and take advantage of their activities there. The only part that wasn't great is there is not a lot of service and also at times Netflix wouldn't work due to the internet issues. Maybe a DVD player and DVDs would have made the trip a little better. Overall this place was amazing!!!! Would recommend.

This is a classic vintage home located in a gorgeous setting. It is literally surrounded by a beautiful forrest of massive trees and is so quiet and peaceful. The best feature is the river that runs right in front of the house as well as the two decks that provide the perfect opportunity to take it all in.
Every morning we would wake up to coffee on the front deck and the sounds of the flowing river and every night we would enjoy the hot tub, which also has views of the river. We also had a campfire and s’mores using the outdoor fire pit and wood provided (which was much appreciated).
Just a quick 5 minute drive into town for restaurants and food shopping and 30 minutes to the ski mountain, the location was perfect.
If you are looking for more of a modern “cookie cutter” type home, then this is not the house for you, but if you want authentic charm and a vintage home in an unbelievably beautiful setting, then you will not be disappointed.

A too short stay at this river front house. Celeste was very generous in letting us host a dinner party for a large group of family, staying in a different VRBO which would not allow a group our size. Everyone had an amazing time enjoying the hot tub and view of the river.
This was our 2nd visit to this beautiful property.
Plan to come again in the future.

This was our 2nd time staying at this property. We love its proximity to Portland and Mt Hood village. The back yard has a beautiful view on a river and the house fits large groups comfortably

This was our 2nd time renting this property. We always enjoy the hot tub and the location. The kitchen could use more supplies and the futons need attention.

This Mt. Hood area cabin was a great spot for our big family. Very spacious, comfy, and had everything we needed.
The cleaners didn't do the best job before we checked in and there were only a handful of bath towels for our party of 10, but other than that it was great. Would book again, thanks!

You feel like your camping but only 45 minutes from home (oc) it is literally on the river . House is perfect lots of beds super clean .will definitely stay again if its not sold out wonderful place to stay

We rented this beautiful cabin for a family weekend and absolutely Loved it!! Comfortable and cozy with the river right outside the back door. Well appointed with everything you could need! Relaxing in the hot tub, S’mores at the fire pit and laughing under the stars….I’d call that close to a perfect weekend!

Family gathering Mnt Hood
Great place right on Sandy river. Plenty of room for 4 couples plus an extra room if needed. Wi-Fi is really slow but does slow for WiFi enabled phone calls and Netflix streaming. The house is well equipped for cooking. Coffee pot broke on the first day and the owner had one shipped out immediately.

The place is beautiful...
It was very peaceful. There were a few things left in the house that was inappropriate for children and they found the items before we did. We contacted the owner and she apologized and said she was looking for a new cleaning company. The place is very spacious and very well stocked with anything you'd need. We will be back!!!!

Great location on Sandy River. Very nice new hot tub. Great bonfire area right on the river. Cabin has great bones but needs some major TLC. The heat wouldn’t turn off and our kids cooked upstairs while they slept. Unfortunately several windows were broken and there were no screens so very dangerous to open up for fresh air for families with small children like ours. Dishwasher barely worked and did not clean the dishes. They were grimy and we ended up having to hand wash everything. The TVs didn’t work. There is no Netflix like the listing says. BBQ was super dirty and we weren’t able to use it like we thought we would be able to. No Welcome book to see how to check out. We had no cell service and couldn’t access Wi-Fi.

Great location on Sandy River. Very nice new hot tub. Great bonfire area right on the river. Cabin has great bones but needs some major TLC. The heat wouldn’t turn off and our kids cooked upstairs while they slept. Wow wow wow this location is absolutely amazing and the cabin is absolutely gorgeous. The pictures do not describe this place at all. This was a co-worker ski trip and now we all want to come back and book this place with our own families. Absolutely 5 star experience. Loved the hot tub too after a long day of skiing.

Wow wow wow this location is absolutely amazing and the cabin is absolutely gorgeous. The pictures do not describe this place at all. This was a co-worker ski trip and now we all want to come back and book this place with our own families. Absolutely 5 star experience. Loved the hot tub too after a long day of skiing.

Stayed just before Christmas. The location right next to the river is awesome. The house is roomy and comfortable, and the hosts were kind enough to set up a Christmas tree for us. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

This home worked so well for a family/friend get together. The numerous bedrooms, 2 master suites, pool table, hot tub located in the mountains on a river is dream. It was beautiful

Very Nice Holiday Stay
Stayed just before Christmas. The location right next to the river is awesome. The house is roomy and comfortable, and the hosts were kind enough to set up a Christmas tree for us. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

The cabin couldn't be in a lovelier location. Listening to only the sounds of the river is a peaceful experience. There are no neighbors nearby and the hot tub is a plus. Celeste was very prompt in responding to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Stay
We had a wonderful time and the house is very comfortable. We had everything we needed and the property was beautiful. Just a note, the river access is pretty limited so if you had someone with mobility issues or small children, it would be very hard to get to the water and the river is rapid so more of a place to view the water vs swim. Overall, great stay! Thank you!

The house is large and specious. The surrunding is amazing: The house is in the middle of the woods and there is a lovly river right behind. There are 2 very specious and luxurious identical master suites on two opposite sides of the house and more bedrooms upstairs, where we also found a large pool table. The Jacuzzi by the river was also great fun. We were 8 adults and 6 chlldren (some small) and there was plenty of room. However, there were sevreal problems: 1. It was hot, especially in the evening. Downstairs each room has a ceiling fan. But upstaris it was really hot and no fans were provided. We couldn't even open some of the windows since the screens were broken or missing. 2. The oven was dirty. 3. The was no linen for the futons. We only discovered this when ready to go to bed at around 10 PM. We tried to reach the host but only got an answer in the morning about how to unlock the linen closet. 4. We couldn't get the TVs to work. We asked the host but got no answer.
5. A day before we left we happened to meet the cleaning crew as we were leaving for a hike. The host must have gotten confused and sent them a day ealier. Not sure what would happen if we haden't noticed them.
We had a great, amazing time. These few issues can be handled easily and then it will be perfect!
