The unit was perfect for 4 of us and our pup. Had everything we needed. Beds were comfy. Would be nice to have some kitchen chairs at the little table - the big leather chairs were a bit large and made it a bit of a squeeze to get in and out...Couch was great and all the amenities were great. Will definitely be renting here again!

I spent the winter months living at Pine Cove Cottage, and the whole experience was incredible! The view of the snowy mountains was amazing to wake up to each morning. The cottage had a very cozy vibe, and was equipped with everything we needed!

The location within a few steps to the beach was perfect to enjoy the sunset over the lake and/or take a cup of coffee to enjoy the views in the morning. The living area is nicely upgraded, kitchen was well stocked and the property was well cleaned for a place which accepts pets.
The reason for a 4.5 star rating instead of 5 is the difficulty in finding the property at night due to poor lighting (possibly due to unusually high snow bank?), and very small bathroom.

Had a great experience in this cottage. Perfect size for what we needed with a very homey feel to it. Views of the lake in the morning light made the experience even more special. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Pine Cove Cottage #5 was awesome-it’s a small two bedroom cottage with a well equipped kitchen. The internet was intermittent, but the TV and streaming services were great. Beds very comfortable! Linens attractive, clean, and comfortable also! Would be nice if some of the storage area was available to the renters-drawers and cupboards full! Location was also a plus for activities, shoppping, and restaurants (not to mention hospital!) My compliments to the gals at VACAY North Tahoe! Very helpful and personable!

We had a most wonderful weekend at the Pine Cove Cottage. It was a convenient location with grocery and restaurants nearby and right on the beach where our pup could go out and play in the snow. The beds were super comfortable and the cabin had all the comforts of home. The property management company was responsive when we had a question. We look forward to staying there again very soon!

Lovely cottage and courtyard right on Tahoe beach. Cottage very nice. Some windows were stuck and could not be closed or locked. Largest bedroom had one window we couldn't open and one broken blind, so ventilation was a problem. There was some road noise on that side, but not bad late night to morning. Small deck, one table had us competing with neighbors to sit out with meals. A second table was there, back from the best view, ok, not great. Dishwasher never worked and repair request never happened. However, with these issues, it still was a nice stay.

Great location
Great location right on the beach. Small but perfect for our small family. This place was as I expected based on listing and reviews. However, with a little TLC this place could be so much better - just needs some upgrades with furniture and bedding and it could really be great. The furniture and bedding are old, dingy, and not comfortable. With the $ from our stay alone, this place could really be spruced up!

Beautiful for summer trip
Wonderful to have beach access and a parking spot to never worry about crowds on lake. We are a family with 4 teens it was a bit tight to eat or sit to play games inside. The road noise was a surprise, but as we explored the lake it seems the Hwy is loud no matter where you go. I guess the road noise is just one of those things you accept to have lake access. Having laundry was a big perk!

The "cottage" is not free standing as is implied by the ad. The "view" of the lake is standing in the kitchen and looking over to the side. The entire "cottage" needs a thorough cleaning and painting. It's close to being shabby. I was quite disappointed by having to pay an additional $75 for cleaning,when I reached for a utensil in the kitchen that had spider webs on it. Also, a book residing under the coffee table had dust on it.The rug in the living room was coming unraveled and the floor near the shower was soft with dry rot. The mats outside were infused with mold and ready for the garbage can. I could have stayed in a free standing cabin across the street for half the price and had the same view of the lake. Overall, I would rate my experience as infuriating, based on the amount of money paid. I will never return to this or any other property associated with this organization.

Pros:1. Great location. Steps from Kings beach. 2. Dog friendly, but would only say small dog, place is small. 3. People around were great. Made new friends. 4. Close to some good restaurants.Cons: 1. Place is really small and old. Tough for family of four. 2. Place get's hot, even with the windows open. 3. Parking can be tough especially when the other 5 units are occupied on the weekends, then there is no where near enough parking and you have to jockey the other Tenants for spots. 4. It is an old place so the windows are hard to use, there are leaky faucets, etc you get with an old cottage. 5. Road is right there, so noise, but this is common with all places on the water in Tahoe. 6. Bikes and other stuff will have to be locked outside, there is no room inside for them.

I was kind of disappointed because your pictures and add give the impression that the property is on the water and while the location is on the water, the house is not and the view is obstructed by another building and not at all a view. The other disappointment was that the hot water is not hot. The kitchen never gets hot and the shower takes a very long time to get lukewarm, but that is as warm as it gets. So if you are wet and cold from skiing or sledding, a shower will not help.

PROS: Loved the location and pet friendly.Cons: Parking, firm bed and sofa sinking in the middle. I wanted to spend as much time on the lake so I knew this would be a good place. It has older amenities but we didn't plan on spending time inside, except for breakfast, we ate out. Not enough designated spots for each rental. Had to run to the grocery store for less than five minutes and came back and our spot under the covered spot was taken by another resident. Called the management company and they said park on the street, not a spot available for a half a mile. The spaces should have corresponding rental numbers. I would rent there again. We hiked at North Star, dined at the Ritz, kayaked, gambled at the Hyatt, had wonderful fondue, explored the area and played in the lake!

We had a great time in this rental. Originally we booked a week, but because of Covid restrictions we booked 30 days and every day of our stay was great. The cabin is on Moon Dune beach so very close to the water and located near grocery stores and restaurants. It was a nice getaway and change of place after sheltering in place at home for 9 months. The WiFi allowed us to work and the kids attend online school. The beds are nice and comfy, the kitchen small but useful with everything you need to cook your favorite meals. We loved our stay.

We loved this little cabin. We comfortably fit six of us (2 of us children) and our dog over Christmas break. The fire place kept us warm and toasty while we watched the snow across the lake from the windows. The beach, moon dunes, right out front provided great sledding too. It was a cozy cabin perfect for us!

We couldn't have asked for a better location for our summer vacation. We went during a heat wave which was not pleasant and only wish the unit had a small air conditioner. We were pleasantly surprised by the air filters which we used due to the fires.

The location was great and we enjoyed both the lake access and the hiking trails nearby. Close to a lot of wonderful spots and our dog had a blast. The house is very clean and cute and I appreciate being able to bring our dog. I would say it's perfect for a couple, OK for 3 and not big enough for a family with a teen like us. The kitchen is also not ideal for cooking full meals (nonstandard, tiny size appliances etc.). We had some plumbing problems right away and two of the burners on the stove didn't work. The managing agent was great and called the plumber but I do feel that if the food disposal can't handle any food being put down it they should provide a drain trap and some warnings. Road noise is also an issue in the larger bedroom so I appreciated the reviews that said that so I could bring ear plugs.
