Our hosts Angela and Phil were great. If we had any questions they answered them right away. Having the pool and beach was wonderful (the both of best worlds). We could fish off the beach, having the kayaks was an added bonus along with the Tiki Hut and the tower you could go up on the watch the sunrise and sunset. Just beautiful. One thing to note which we did not find out till our last week was there is a baker who comes twice a week on the street, someone selling fresh veggies and every Saturday they also stop by to see if you want meat. They had chicken, lamb, pork and I think juice as well. We bought the chicken twice and it was very good and tasty. Maya Beach was close to buy some groceries and the Bistro had great food. For a little change we went to the Jaguar Bowling Alley for supper one night and bowled a game. If you are looking for a quiet area this is it. We were there for two weeks and we did not want to leave. You will not be disappointed.

Angela and Phil have an absolutely perfect vacation property! A nice size pool, right on the beach, kayaks for use, close to 2 great restaurants- Maya Bistro and Umaya resort has a restaurant and a separate wood fire grill pizza restaurant. We got massages at the Umaya resort- outstanding, dove with Splash, and toured the Xanantunich ruins followed by a refreshing river cave tube tour. The house is spacious, great views of the ocean with entertaining pelicans. Lots of chairs, chaise lounge chairs, a bar down by the water and more! Just gazing at the beautiful view from the rising sun to the full moon will cure one of all stress! Bravo Angela and Phil!

We had a great stay and enjoyed the property. The hut on the beach was fun and our boys loved playing football on the beach. Beautiful sunrises and nice walks. All around great location if you don't want to be directly in Placencia but within minutes and have your own car.
A few notes:
- DO NOT FOLLOW GPS! There is a rough dirt road that it may take you down, go passed that and you can take a paved / gravel road to the location.
- The bedrooms are not closed off as the walls do not go to the ceiling so you can hear throughout the house. If you have a snorer, bring earplugs!
- If you have bad knees you may struggle with the steep circular staircase that you need to walk up to get to the indoors.

We LOVED everything about this property! The location was off of the beaten path, which we love, yet close enough to everything we wanted to do.
The pool was lovely as was the beach. We made great use of the kayaks to explore the nearby reef.
Everything was clean and the property manager was So helpful!
We hope to visit again!
The only reason for the 4 stars (and not 5) on accuracy, is that there wasn't a hot tub as noted in the description.

It’s a wonderful place and Angela/Phil were super hosts. Very helpful!
It rained for most of our trip (I mean A LOT of rain) however we still had an amazing time. You can see some fish and occasionally a stingray snorkeling right there at the beach at the house.
Great location not far from some decent restaurants. Placencia is a wonderful place to visit and we really enjoyed our stay.

This property is the perfect vacation rental!
Your own beach, pool, kayaks, cabanna, BBQ,and the views are amazing!
The house was comfortable, and had everything we needed (or forgot to pack!).
Angie and Phil were extremely helpful throughout the whole process, welcomed us upon arrival, gave great recommendations for grocery and restaurants, returned texts messages quickly, and left us to enjoy the property!
Checkout was very easy, except we didnt want to leave!
We had the most amazing time here, and look forward to a return trip!

Our stay was amazing, we had so much fun in the pool. The beach is beautiful and the house had everything we needed to make some great memories. I love that the location is close enough to fun sightseeing adventures yet private. We rented a car which gave us the ability to do some sightseeing on our own and head to town when we wanted to. There’s a grocery store about 20 min away that had everything we needed and some great restaurants near by for when we didn’t want to cook.
Can’t wait to go back!

Angel's Landing exceeded all expectations. Angela and Phil were wonderful hosts, the property is well appointed and perfectly located.
On the property, we felt like we were the only ones in town, kayaking, relaxing under the palapa, laying by the pool or reading a book under the trees next to the sea.
Angel's Landing is an easy commute to local bars and dining (which we took advantage of, a lot) and easy commute to many excursions (Diving, Waterfalls, Ruins & Hiking).
We cannot wait to visit Belize again and hopefully we can come back to Angel's Landing.

House was exactly as pictured with thoughtful touches throughout to make us feel welcome. Phil and Angie were wonderful hosts. Beds were comfortable, everything was squeaky clean, good wifi, good AC, well apppinted kitchen and everything in good working order. Pool was refreshing. There is sargassum throughout the entire Caribbean/Gulf of Mexico, but we never noticed a bad odor nor did it detract from the beauty of the the house and its location. Highly recommend this property!

Let me start with wow! Guest communication was great. The owner will meet you upon your arrival to show you everything and answer any questions. The home was well stocked. Any family will have enough towels kitchen supplies and Spices for your cooking. I really can not say enough about how much of a great choice this property is and was. The pool was so awesome and beach front owner keeps very clean. The seaweed was on the beach but was only what was washing up and this is unpreventable with any of the beach houses owners can not control Nature!!!! My husband and I will be back to rent this home again!!!!!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Angels Landing! My husband, myself, and our two daughters (10 & 13) took full advantage of the beautiful beach and pool, the wonderful patio and decks, the tower where we watched sunrises and sunsets and the palapa where we had some lunches! The home was well equipped! We left all the windows open during the day and got the most wonderful breeze and at night we took advantage of the air conditioning and many fans and it got cool enough for us to all be comfortable! The property owners were very responsive and helpful! This property is a little ways away from the hustle of Placencia village but we found it was perfectly between there and all of the wonderful waterfalls, horseback riding, hikes, and activities that are further north up the road. We enjoyed this location and especially the property!

Phil and Angie's property was absolutely perfect for our family. It was quiet and comfortable away from the hustle and bustle of Placencia Village, just what we were looking for. The pool was an added bonus for us to cool off in. Both Angie and Phil were super easy to communicate with. Highly recommend their place!

This beautiful home is exactly how it is described. You have a private pool, tiki bar and your own personal beach to sit on and enjoy the waves. The house has everything you need in the kitchen even bottled water. AC is also provided if the humidity gets too much for you - although it is nice to lay in bed and listen to the waves. Angela and Philip are great host and answered all our questions. I highly recommend staying here. Just FYI - it is about 40 mins from Placencia village so you will want to rent a car if you plan to frequent the village like we did.

Angela’s Landing was everything we hoped it would be! Angela and Phil are knowledgeable hosts and are very attentive of the property. 2 Queen beds wouldn’t be our first choice (both couples have a large man to accommodate) but the location away from crowds along with private pool was worth it for us.

Very clean, great views, sits back from the road to Placencia on a private road so it is quiet but easy to access the main road. Owners are great and very helpful if needed and the WiFi supported several devices at one time. It was a great week at the beach and pool.

The property is great, really loved the pool & tiki hut. The sea kayaks & horse shoes were an added bonus. The location is far away from town so a rental car is a must. This is in a retirement community so you have to be aware of your surroundings & keep things fairly quiet. If your looking for some R & R this is perfect but if you want night life I would suggest another location.

The property was located wonderful. We were located in a prime location for access to town as well as privacy! We loved the house and would definitely stay again and most likely will! Phil and Angela were wonderful and helped us with everything we needed!

Stunning morning sunrises and sunsets over the lagoon.. Fabulous hosts that were there if you needed anything or had a question and very responsive!! My wife and I enjoyed our week at Angel's Landing in spite of a rare hurricane strike on Belize. The villa is perfectly situated with the pool leading to a clean, level private beach area.
Angie was very responsive to all of my questions and met us at the villa to give us a tour when we arrived. As we were unable to get flights out in advance of the hurricane, Angie and Phil allowed us to ride out the storm in the villa and did a tremendous amount of hurricane proofing prior to the storm's arrival. Fortunately, the storm tracked North and there was very little impact to the peninsula allowing us to enjoy our last day lounging in the pool with beautiful sunshine.
The villa has a well equipped kitchen along with some pool floats and ice chests that we took advantage of. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the main living area, providing privacy for both.
We will have Angel's Landing at the top of our list on our next trip to Belize.

Relaxing slice of paradise
Very easy to navigate your way here! Beautiful drive in, check in was a breeze. Hosts were extremely helpful in getting us situated and settled in. We are a family of 6 and everyone slept very comfortably. We loved the pool with an ocean view! Highlights were: Family of manatees came for a morning visit, all the lizards/geckos everywhere. Butterflies migrating, beautiful flowers everywhere and no one in sight! So sad to leave!!

Private paradise
This was the perfect spot for our family vacation. Complete privacy while we were at the house, but close enough to drive to everything we wanted to do. We spent a ton of time in the pool and under the palapa. Did some cave tubing, went to see Xunantunich ruins, and did a snorkel trip with Splash Dive Shop… also very fortunate to have had amazing weather. The occasional rainstorm would roll through, but usually at night.
Phil was a fantastic host - always available to answer questions and provide recommendations - And he had some good stories to tell! Thanks for sharing this amazing space with us and providing the basis for a truly memorable family vacation.

This was the perfect beach house for our family (mom/dad and kids ages 18, 17, 14, and 11). The view is breathtaking and it’s close to numerous fantastic restaurants and day trips. We snorkeled on a tour to Silk Caye with Splash Belize per Angela’s recommendation which was amazing! We enjoyed just sitting outside (great outdoor living space!) and watching pelicans dive. We also uses the kayaks and the pool. There are 2 AC units in either bedroom which we liked at night. It’s super quiet and peaceful. The mattresses were very firm and pillows were thin - so just fyi if you prefer something softer. But the house is very clean and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Phil and Angie are fantastic hosts and were very helpful and hospitable. Our kids also loved the tower and seeing the lagoon on the other side of the peninsula - along with the resident iguana who lives under the house!

Paradise Found
Loved our stay at Angel's Landing. The beachfront location was beautiful! The ocean view through the windows and from the tower were spectacular. Being able to swim in the pool was relaxing. Phil and Angela were helpful and responded promptly to our questions. We had everything we needed when we arrived. If you are looking for a place to unwind and and be inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds you, this is the place. The kayaks were a plus! Would definitely stay here again!

My husband & I stayed at Angels Landing for a little over a week and had a wonderful time. We were able to cook several meals easily and the kitchen is well stocked. I had to work several days and had no issues at all streaming video all day on the wifi.
The kayaks were great & my husband caught a lot of fish just off the beach including a 30 inch tarpon!!!
The sargassum is a real issue however. It impacts the entire coast so not specific to the house but we couldn’t use the pool or beach most of the trip. The smell is awful & it irritates your throat. We were told when we arrived it would be gone in a couple of days only to find out from locals this has been an issue for 3 years.
The checkin process could have been better. I never heard anything from the host about checking in which made for a stressful trip at 7am at the airport when you don’t know if you can get in. They wanted us to call when we were 15 min away but we did not have a working international phone. This needs to be improved.
Drive to Placencia is 30 minutes but there are some good restaurants about 10-15 min away. We did several tours out of Placencia that were incredible.
I would recommend the house for sure but be aware of some of the challenges.

Family stay with school age kids - description needs updates
We really did have a wonderful time in Belize. The property was easy to find and had good access to the surrounding areas. Make sure you get Ms. Berta's Tamales on the Hummingbird highway!
The owners are lovely and very responsive to inquiries and concerns. I think the description needs to be updated a bit because I do not see how this home sleeps 6 (unless I missed a bed or 2 somewhere). A few of the issues we had are on me and I think I just missed that there was no dishwasher - which I was expecting when the listing states "luxury home." I also misread that there was no laundry facilities and staying with 2 kids doing excursions, swimming etc we definitely needed to freshen up (which Angie was totally accommodating and opened the laundry for us x 1 during the week). I think a few easy upgrades would add to the value of the stay including: putting a key pad on the door for easy check-in/access, key pad on the laundry for access to this, better working toilets - we really only had one reliable toilet and there was not a plunger to be found when needed (we would've happily plunged). The potable water was accessible but would've been difficult for someone to change if they had any sort of disability or even if I was staying there by myself. The sea was not accessible due to Sargassum but this is an issue all over the Caribbean and certainly not the fault of the owners. The Sargassum brought in a lot of trash and my husband and I cleaned up the beach each morning so that our kids wouldn't get hurt on anything. It was a sad reminder of the waste on the planet. Having the pool was wonderful and used daily.
We did lots of day trips but really found ourselves not wanting to drive to Placencia village because even though it's only miles away from the property, there are 30 speed bumps to get there (yes, the kids counted and that is 60 speed bumps round-trip) so it takes a good chunk of time. Plenty to do in Maya Beach, Cockscomb Reserve, Spice Farm, Mayan Chocolate making, cave tubing and snorkeling!

We loved being set apart from the main areas, and having an immaculately clean pool of our own to spend our days in. There was plenty to see and do on the property and in the nearby community. We could not have had a better first trip to Belize!
