Super Clean home with a tasteful, comfortable design aesthetic. The hosts’ responses were instant and so supportive. Their care of this special property was evident everywhere. Very well stocked kitchen, cookware, spices and great appliances. Also cooked steaks on the grill. Two of the bedrooms had king sized beds with newer, comfortable mattresses
and the 3rd bedroom had two sets of bunkbeds.
Bathrooms on the small side
but more than adequate for our stay.
Loved that our family had 3 living spaces to use-
the living room, a fun sunroom with GORGEOUS views of the river and Saddleback mountain, plus
a screened in porch too. We enjoyed being able to have our meals/snacks at the kitchen bar, the dining room table, the sunroom table and on the screened porch/patio dining table. Ceiling fans throughout the house. Our family of four consisted of 2 thirty year olds and 2 sixty year olds. We loved watching movies, playing games, reading and floating in the swimming area. Easily docked our 17 foot Shallow Sport boat on the beach/sand at the property.
Caught fish daily! Kayaked in the river
several times each day too. Large, well watered, green/grass backyard with a fairly steep slope down to the stretch of sandy beach. 10 plastic Adirondack chairs are provided by hosts in addition to several kayaks, and kid’s toys.
We were there from Sun- Thurs. and
hardly saw anyone else in the area.

Beach vacation without the travel! The kids loved playing on the sandy beach and swimming in the lake with the sandy bottom (no yucky squishy silt here). The house feels like you are far away with the beautiful undeveloped landscape across the river. However, you are only a short drive to restaurants and the boat rental marina we used. The house is comfortable, recently updated, and stocked with everything you need. The owners are very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time relaxing by the water with beautiful views! We felt safe in and around the home, which is key with our young children. The kayaks were a hit too! We appreciated the attention to detail towards all the amenities, and the instructions and communications from Scott. The air conditioner and other appliances worked well. The backyard was maintained and enjoyed safely. There is about a 25 degree slope from the house to the sand, but we found a way to make it work. We loved relaxing in the sunroom while soaking in the calm views- it’s medicine for the soul! Thank you, Scott, for letting us enjoy your home.

This was our second time staying at this Lake house. Scott made booking and checking in/out a very easy and smooth process. The house is very well stocked and AC keeps the house cool in the hot summer. Beds are comfy. Nice views with short walk to lake. We had a wonderful time!

Perfect location! We did not have to travel far from the restaurants/ stores and the boat rental place. This beautiful home with a stunning backyard will be a place we will never forget.

I would suggest bringing a pop up tent for the beach and water shoes as the sand gets very hot in the middle of the day.

We had an amazing stay with our family. The house had everything you would need and was very clean. We spent most of our time on the screened back porch relaxing and playing out in the water, which was a very short distance from the house. The water felt great and you could walk out quite a ways out on the sandy bottom. The host was kind and very communicative anytime we had any questions. All in all, it was a wonderful place to spend our vacation and I'm so glad we had the opportunity to do so. Also, a great place to bring the kids. We will definitely be heading back here.

The house is very lovely and I loved the sun room and back screened in patio. This place is seriously a hidden gem, the beach alone is what males it so awesome but the small cute house that has everything is pretty rad. I grilled on the charcoal grill all 3 nights, made breakfast each morning and it was so simple because they have alot of the small items (oil, salt/pepper, seasonings, pots and pans). Very close to an HEB, maybe 4 or 5 minutes away if that. AC worked very well and the house stays nice and cool. The owners take great care of this place and they have labeled stuff around the house and have board games, beach toys, Kayaks and other stuff to keep you occupied. We are definitely staying here again! Oh, and the views when you are at the beach are awesome with the mountains/hills in the background. My family absolutely loved this place!

If you want lake front property this is the place! The beach was clean, the water was clear and it was quiet. No crazy crowds as the properties are privately owned.
The house was very clean. 3 bedrooms with 2 king beds and one room of 2 bunk beds. One bedroom had its own private bathroom.
I really enjoyed spending my mornings on the back patio over looking the lake. Very peaceful and relaxing!!

We have had the opportunity to stay in several vrbos and this home was the best! We loved everything about it! Awesome home with amazing views and a sandy beach on the river, doesn’t get any better than that!

Four fast friends & sisters of golden years gathered for a few days of relaxation, laughter and hill country joy. The view was spectacular from the sunroom and/or screened in back porch - both decorated so cute! Living room, kitchen, bed and bathrooms had most of what we needed, complete with a laundry room. A/C works great! Be sure to check with your host to confirm what exactly is supplied. We found most everything we needed in the house. H-E-B was just down the road for groceries and things we couldn't find in the house or that we forgot. The caveat to our stay was that there were a few more steps inside the house than we were expecting and one of my sisters uses a walker. That was a challenge, but with our help she managed. Plus, neither bathroom was outfitted with handicap bars and showers and were not as accessible as we would have preferred. We made do. One bedroom is not pictured on the website and has two complete bunk beds that sleep four people if you have kids or agile adults that can climb up to the top. We did not need the upper bunks. All in all it was lovely - I would definitely stay here again with grandkids, friends, whomever. Great home base for your hill country vacay.

We stayed with our two young kids for a quick getaway. The house was perfect and very clean, and the lawn and lake access were great for the kids. Great communication from the owner. We would be happy to stay here again!

We loved our time at this property and will definitely come back. The kids played in the sand for hours. The lake has very low traffic in front of this home and is very safe for kids. Our host was also very responsive and check in was a breeze. The beds are also very comfortable. We will visit again.

We had the perfect little relaxing getaway -the house has everything you need-we explored the water on the kayaks and played football on the beach. The wildflowers were in bloom and the surrounding area is so pretty!! Very comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen. Loved all the books and you just can’t beat the view. We will be back!!

Although it was cold and rainy during our stay, our family had a great time. It was relaxing and peaceful. We even got to play in the sand! The views are beautiful and was worth the trip. Next time, I would like to visit in the summer to enjoy the beach and lake more. Scott was very responsive to questions. Thanks for everything!

The house was perfect for our family including 2 small children. Beach was perfect for children playing along the shore. Kayaks were an added bonus for exploring the 2 creeks across the way. Kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Bedroom, bathroom config worked well being away from noisier part of the house.

Wow! This property is amazing! We had a wonderful time. The pictures don’t do it justice. Everything was just as described, lots of amenities, and the view is spectacular! I HIGHLY recommend and would love to visit again.

We love this property! It’s eclectic and clean, and has the most beautiful views and a nice sandy beach. Since our last visit the owners had made lots of updates, including in the kitchen :)

What a treat from start to finish. Scott is a pleasure to communicate with, and has an absolutely lovely home. You really just need your clothes, he has taken care of everything else. The view is breathtaking! We had an amazing, relaxing weekend, and I can't wait to go back. I highly recommend this property.

The home is very nice. The layout made this a perfect getaway home for the weekend. We have small kids and they can’t make the long trips. The beach front area was a perfect substitute for the beach and the kids loved it. Definitely would stay here again.

This was our second stay at this rental and once again it did not disappoint. My two sons spent almost all day on the beach and swimming in the water. You can’t beat the location when it comes to a quiet, beautiful location with private river access. We ate all our meals at the house and found the kitchen adequately stocked and the grill easy to use.

Great place to stay. Me and my wife rented this with our two boys 8 & 9yr old. We love going to the beach and this was great because its private and you don't have to deal with sharks. My boys would fish in the morning and evening. Golf was really close by and a pretty good course. The house had everything needed and was welcoming. Thanks Scott for the hospitality.

Great spot on the lake! We ended up having to leave a day early and Scott was very kind to offer an extra night should we want to stay again. House was clean and very accommodating.

A slide of paradise - an annual escape
This rental is fantastic. We love it so much we have been three years in a row! And we’ll be back again next year.
After driving only an hour from Austin we walk outside and get to see gorgeous hills and a huge private beach. It feels like we are at a resort, but better since it’s private to us.
Our kids love playing in the private buoyed swim area, building sandcastles, and taking the kayaks out for a spin with us. We set up a canopy tent on the beach which gives us great shade. At night there are beautiful sunsets followed by starry skies where we often see shooting stars.
The house itself is comfortable and has a homey charm to it. The owners have made some thoughtful upgrades just over the last few years we’ve been coming.
There is a large sunroom that is perfect for having Al fresco dinners, playing card games, getting ready when going down/coming back up from the beach, and just watching the beautiful views when back cooking off at the house.
The owners are communicative and helpful if needed although you won’t need much since the house is fairly well stocked for cooking with utensils and spices. Condiments aren’t in the fridge and neither is a filtered water container so pack accordingly on those.
My only small areas of improvement to make it even better than it is would be: adding a propane gas grill since the current charcoal one makes grilling, at least for us, much harder dirtier and time consuming. Adding a fire pit area for doing s’mores with the kids - would be even better in shoulder season months just for warmth. Building a permanent shade at the beach like some of the neighbors have done along the strip. Earlier standard check in time of 2 or 3pm instead of 4. Adding a water pitcher that filters water and keeps it cold in the fridge. in same vein an ice maker to keep ice constantly available.
Book this spot and enjoy an escape that feels like you’re thousands of miles away at a beach - it’s special.
