We have been to a dozen or properties on the coast; this one checks all of the boxes for us!
The split level design is perfect, sleeping on one floor and entertainment on the second level. It has everything you need along with being pet friendly which is huge for us.
The balcony overlooks the ocean (the pictures don’t do the view justice) with beach access steps away.
We will definitely be coming back to this property!

3 bedrooms on the bottom floor and spacious kitchen/living room upstairs. 2.5 bathrooms. Plenty of pots, pans, cups, etc. There is a small propane grill on the back patio (with propane).
Nice views of bay and ocean. The beach on the bay is nice and sandy and across the street. It has a public restroom too but we never used it.
If you want to walk to where the bay and the ocean meet, it's about 5 or 10 minutes walking to the end of the bay with very long sandbars stretching into the ocean depending on the tide.
Most of the beach goers, and there were not many, were either walking or crabbing.
Other nice beaches are nearby. Oceanside is at the other end of about 2 miles of one continuous beach. There are tidal pools there and fun rock formations. It has public parking and a public bathroom too.
We would gladly stay at this property again. One thing of note, you can't actually speak with an owner. All correspondence is handled by the property manager and it was responsive.

The location makes this place great for accessing the beach with kids. At low tide we had a great time watching a couple groups digging for clams and had fun getting squirted by clams in the flats.
Three flights of stairs to get to the kitchen were a good workout. We would like to stay again in the winter to see the storms roll in over the bay, it has a perfect view.

My family, which consisted of my husband, our son and his two boys, loved this house. We got there at four and loved the whole set up. The bedrooms being on the first floor was a huge plus and stayed cool at night, all the bathrooms helped out and kept us clean after visiting the ocean. The kitchen had all of the utensils and appliances we needed to cook our food for our stay.
We spent a lot of time reading and relaxing in the big living room, watching the ocean and reading books.
Would love to also say that my son and grandson have allergies to dogs and we were hesitant to staying in a place that has had dogs in it before but they didn’t think anything of it and did not experience any allergic reactions, so that was huge.

This hike was amazing for our week long stay with adults, children, and toddlers. The house was perfect, spacious, open, and very well stocked !
We found everything we needed to make for a great vacation and you can’t beat the location.
The host was communicative and we couldn’t have asked for a better place.

You get what you pay for with this house. It wasn’t super clean, probably because it was old and hard to clean. The living room furniture was stained and several of the dishes were not clean even though they were put away in the cabinets. They didn’t leave ample trash bags or laundry/dishwasher detergent - I’d recommend bringing your own. The whole place could use a facelift - old toilets, beat up walls, rusty towel racks, sand under the furniture (don’t drop something under there and expect it to be clean), bedding had some hair from other guests (?), and the carpet on the stairs was pretty dirty. Overall, for the price we paid per night, I guess we got what we paid for. Other properties in Happy Camp are much cleaner and probably worth the extra $ per night. The check in/out process was easy and the communication through VRBO/Vacasa was great. Also - they had plenty of towels (for what that’s worth).

The house was booked to host our multigenerational family of 8 to celebrate a birthday. We loved the location. Hearing/seeing the ocean waves and less than a block down to the beach access. For a Friday and Saturday night, we thought the area remained nicely quiet. "Busy" here is not a typical beach resort busy. Laidback atmosphere and everyone was friendly.
The house was furnished as shown in the photos with minimal changes. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes/pans, appliances, etc. Nice "starter pack" of toiletries, toilet paper, paper towels, dish/washer soap and some laundry soap (thank you!). Furniture and beds were comfortable with decent linens/towels. This house was satisfactorily clean upon arrival (and I'm a picky nurse). Selection of games and some books.
This is a 2.5 bathroom home with 2 full baths downstairs where the bedrooms are located. There is only a half bath upstairs in the living area.
There are stains on the carpeted stairs, but no noticeable smells. I'd blame drunk adults spilling their wine or drink. An ottoman is stained and showing some wear, but still functionable. There is a towel rack loose from the wall in 1 bathroom.
The couch was comfortable for 2 adults who slept on it (not a pull out).
There are 2 flights of stairs, so our senior matron did not go up and down very much.
No hair dryer was found - but only the princess in our group was concerned about that LOL.
Otherwise this was a fantastic home base for us. We would absolutely consider returning to this vacation home!
It would be nice to check in a little earlier and be able to check out closer to 11, but I understand that time is needed between guests.

Had a little trouble getting the digital door to open, made more complicated by only one phone bar but once i got through to the office they had a back up plan for entry that got us in quickly. The kitchen was well stocked and towels, bedding etc. we’re perfect. The beds are very comfortable and a few extra blankets were a thoughtful touch on a cold night. Great stay!

This property was gorgeous. Absolutely loved it! I appreciate that it's so dog friendly but BEWARE - the balconies are NOT SAFE FOR SMALL DOGS. There are wire lines that a small dog could easily slip under and the fall would be from the 3rd floor to the ground. Likely fatal. Also, the screen door in the living room is busted out at the bottom so a small dog could get through that as well. PLEASE CONSIDER bringing screens or baby gates if you have a small dog, otherwise you would need to keep the doors to the 2 balconies closed at all times.
Other than that, this property is perfect! The stairs are a bit of a workout but that was okay.

Overall, the stay at this property was ok. The beach access is great and the location is quiet. There are very few food options available without going into Tillamok, so bring food or be sure to stop at the Safeway in Tillamok on the way in.
The house lived up to the reviews for the most part. A bit run down and not the cleanest house I’ve stayed in at Happy Camp, but ok. Lots of towels and good dishwear variety, but dirty carpet, dirty wood floors, mattresses that should be replaced and in need of some overall maintenance. In general, could use a good, thorough cleaning.

This home is right across from the beach access point (maybe a 2-3 minute walk?) and has great views of the bay, ocean and sunsets!
Beds and couches were comfy and the upper floor had just enough room to relax.
FYI if you're looking to do much cooking/baking: Consider bringing any pans/dishes/supplies/ingredients you know you will need. As you may know, some vacation rentals have super well-stocked kitchens and some don't! I would classify this as not stocked.

Stunning views of Netarts Bay! Perfect location. Sadly, this home was very, very dirty and poorly maintained -- especially given the price. There were cobwebs above the bathroom sink and cobwebs behind furniture when trying to plug in devices, and there was a disaster set of debris (food particles, hair, sand) under the couch (which we found only because our pup located a ball left by prior tenants). A towel rack was coming out of the wall, and the carpet on the stairs smelled like dog urine and was poorly stained. Kitchen utensils and pots required cleaning before use, as did the BBQ grill plates! This cleaning crew clearly just wipes the surface... This place simply gets booked only because of its location. Folks who can afford such a rate per night have higher expectations. Sad!

Perfect location and interior layout
The location is a steps away from the best crabbing and clamming locations in the area. It couldn't be more easy to get to the water. A little further walk takes you to the beach and you can walk along the coast to visit Oceanside. The house is comfortable, bright and spacious, the kitchen is well equipped. It was a wonderful place to stay. We will definitely be back.

The location is a steps away from the best crabbing and clamming locations in the area. It couldn't be more easy to get to the water. Loved the location. However-the home was not as cleaned as I would have liked and it was a rainy weekend. We wanted to play board games-but the selection was poor and the ones available had missing pieces so we couldn't play most of the games.

This house was filthy. Thought maybe with all the Covid precautions that more care in cleaning would be taken

The place was nice and well equipped. Nice view and we got lucky with the nice weather. The only complaint is that the floor was dirty. We were asked to take our shoes off at the door, which we did, but ended up with dirty socks. BBQ was nice, view was nice, and beds were comfortable.

The place was nice and well equipped. Nice view and we got lucky with the nice weather. The only complaint is that the floor was dirty. We were asked to take our shoes off at the door, which we did, but ended up with dirty socks. BBQ was nice, view was nice, and beds were comfortable.

This house was wonderful! I've been to this area many times but this is was our first time staying on the Bay. Being able to not only see the water and beach, but to be able to walk there whenever we wanted was lovely. We could plan activities based on the tide and weather while sitting on the couch.
We experienced all the weather, but even on the rainy days we could make the short walk to the beach between showers and enjoy our time there multiple times a day.
The area was quiet, beds were comfortable, showers always hot and the open living/kitchen space was cozy.
All amenities listed were there and in great working order. We really had no complaints.
This was a great home for our family (kids aged 11 & 13, small young dog) may be a little less convenient with baby/toddler aged kids, or anyone who struggles with stairs (there are a lot of stairs).
Parking is narrow, but tall, so our mid-sized SUV with a car top carrier fit well and could be opened for packing/unpacking easily.
