My husband and I stayed at this cottage right on the water with our 2 golden retrievers. It was so peaceful and quiet- just what we like! The view was absolutely beautiful for our morning coffee and evening beverage! Kevin, the property manager, stayed in communication to make sure we had everything we needed and also let us know to not be afraid to let our dogs run freely on the property as it is a great place for them to run. Our dogs loved it to! There is an old rail way trail right in front of the house by the water which we took a beautiful walk along that leads to a private beach. 10/10 recommend. We would love to come back :)

The view was amazing and the property very private. We travelled with our 2 dogs and they had the best time running around. There was loads of space for them and it was safe. My husband and I enjoyed our stay and the cottage was peaceful and had the best views of Bra D'hor lakes.It was very comfortable and was equipped with everything you could ask for and more. There are a few restaurants close by and places to buy groceries. The beds were very comfortable and the cottage was very clean it was truly a home away from home.
Kevin was very nice to talk to and answered any questions we had right away. We felt welcome. All in all a very relaxing week. We appreciated the hospitality Kevin provided. If you are looking for a place to unwind and a gorgeous view this is the place. Thanks Kevin for the warm welcome.

This was a wonderful experience. The cottage is small but very well designed, well equipped and very clean. Kevin is very responsive and helpful.

Highly recommend this property! There is wide open space that gives privacy and is a dream for kids and dogs. The cottage is very comfy and clean. The trek down to the beach is a fun adventure. The host is very communicative and helpful. We used this as a base to explore Cape Breton. Lots to do close by too...Highland museum is worth the visit. We would come back for sure!

Nice little cottage . Four adults is about all you want to have for the stay . Only one washroom . Good place to use as a base to your Cabot Trail .Host has a great guide with helpful tips . Had two large dogs and lots of room on property to exercise them . Very well equipped in all departments .

My husband and I, and our two dogs stayed mid September. Although location is somewhat remote, the scenery is breathtaking and with a fabulous lawn/yard for walking the dogs.
Kevin was the ideal host providing very thorough instructions, directions, and such to assist with our stay.; very accommodating.
If you’re looking for peace and quiet with the most spectacular views, you won’t be disappointed!!!

We had an amazing time staying at the cottage. The views over the massive lake made it seem you were on the ocean!
The location was perfect for us - central to everywhere we wanted to go and very close to our favourite town Baddeck.
We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Cape Breton!

Peaceful with beautiful views
Even though the location was rural it was centrally located for what we wanted to do. We enjoyed the out door space there was lots of room for outdoor activities on the property and the views were spectacular.

You’ll never want to leave
The cottage is well-equipped, comfortable and private. The area is quiet with easy access to a private beach. Our dogs enjoyed the large, gated porch where they could freely play & wrestle & cool off with the breezes off the lake. Just 2 warnings: bring heavy duty bug spray & be prepared to never want to leave.

Great stay
Kevin has a beautiful property and lovely cottage. It was just as advertised. The views of the lake are amazing and there are two fairly private beaches in walking distance. Very close to Iona and a quick drive to Baddeck. Everyone loved it (especially our dog!)

We had a wonderful time at the Beach House. The place was spotless! It was so comfortable and cozy. It is well maintained and equipped with everything you need.
The view of the water was spectacular and the morning sunrise stunning!
We look forward to getting back to the beach house soon!

This is a great spot. The silence was amazing. Central to everything Cape Breton and amenities are a short drive away.

The cottage was clean and well equipped with everything we need. We didn't even have to bother Kevin throughout one week of stay. The cottage was perfect for it's size, it's comfort and was very well stocked as it had everything we needed. It was absolutely great for a relaxing get away. We, and our dog, loved the grounds and the two great beaches at the property are a rare find on the Bras d'or Lakes, This place had everything. Kevin was a great host and even though we didn't really need much, he made sure our stay was as comfortable and relaxing as possible. We are hoping to return again sometime soon, and this time we will bring our golf clubs as the cottage is located perfectly to play many of the courses on the Island.

Cottage is comfortable and has everything you might need. Owner (Kevin) is very responsive and addressed the only issue we had, the internet modem had to be reset, very promptly. Bed, bathroom, kitchen, Smart TV and wifi are all great. New heat pump keeps the cottage cool.

We picked this location since it was central in Cape Breton and we could get anywhere easily on day trips and it was pet friendly. Kevin left us wanting for nothing and was very welcoming and accommodating when our week there ended in a big snow storm.
The view of Lake Bras D'Or was spectacular and we got to experience it in all seasons. It was nice to cozy up in front of the fire each evening.
We didn't get to take advantage of the beach access this time due to weather and the season but it is a short walk away and we look forward to it in possible future summer visits.

We loved our vacation at the Beach House is so beautiful. The view from the deck is amazing. There was nothing we needed everything is included and I mean everything. The beaches were great the weather was amazing. The view from the deck you could see the Bras D’Or Lakes for miles. The place of your dreams
The house is beautiful, very well maintained, has all you need, was sparkling clean. The bed in the master bedroom is exceptionally comfortable for a vacation home (we didn't use the other beds). The location is simply spectacular, peaceful, with a magnificent view on the lake and the gentle hills (great sunrises!). It has a huge lawn, our dog was very happy to run back and forth, and a two level patio. Kevin was very nice and helpful and quick in responding when we had questions. All appliances worked perfectly. The only thing I would suggest is to screen part of the upper patio. Mosquitos were quite a presence at sunset and in the evening (early-mid August) and we couldn't have dinner outside in spite of repellants. Other than that, I strongly recommend this place and will definitely rent it again next time we visit Cape Breton.

Beautiful spot!
This property is very comfortable and very scenic. It had a great deal of sleeping room, but there was an extra charge for more that 4 occupants, which we did not expect. We enjoyed our stay here and would book this property again!

Gorgeous Views
I highly recommend staying at this property. The views are breathtaking form the porch, and just about every window in the house. The house was clean & provided everything we needed. The check in process was incredibly easy, and Kevin was very prompt in response with any questions & checked in regularly to ensure our stay was going well. There are 3 bedrooms & plenty of space for a family to stay. The dogs loved running in the open field & down at the beach. All around a great experience - thanks, Kevin!

Incredible View
We had an incredibly relaxing and comfortable stay at the beach house. It was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Kevin was excellent with communication, the directions were very well laid out and his place is more beautiful than we expected. The vastness of the property is breathtaking and coffee/wine on the patio was my favourite. I'm going to miss it for sure.

Beautiful View
The home was very cozy and offered plenty of space (and then some) for the two couples and two dogs that stayed there. We enjoyed using the outdoor fireplace to make s’mores. The stars are stunning at night! If you are looking for a home away from home with nice views and somewhere to relax, this is the place. If you are wanting to do a lot of area attractions, just be prepared to have to drive at least an hour to most tourist type locations. It was a great stay overall.

We did the Cabot Trail, Louisberg Fortress, Inverness Beach, the Baddeck street festival, shopping in Sydney. Would have loved to do 2 weeks, totally recommend this property!

5 Star Property
Our 3rd stay at Kevin's cottage ,in Jamesville , was prefect, as usual.The view of the Brasd'Or Lakes from the gated wrap-around deck was fabulous. The lower deck and enormous lawn space was great for our 3 young grandchildren to roam. The patio and fire pit were ideal.
The cottage itself was spacious with lots of sleeping space for our family of 7. Huge windows made the place cool. Everything you needed was provided in this wonderful cottage.
It is also ideal for 3 couples who want to experience Central Cape Breton.
The place was clean and well maintained.Great customer service .Highly recommended.
Highland Village; Iona Heights Pub; Iona Legion; Darby's Kitchen; Grand Narrow's Cafe; and Jamesville Beach; are all places we have enjoyed.

Clean, comfortable, beautiful.
The property is lovely and we had a wonderful time. Kevin's communications were always clear, timely, and cordial. He checked in by text to make sure we had everything we needed and was always accessible, though we had no reason to contact him as everything was perfect. We would definitely recommend this property to others.

Peace & Comfort
Our family had a wonderful week at the cottage and the view was spectacular from the deck. A very relaxing place and central to many of Cape Breton's tourist sites. We spent lots of time on the beach picking and skipping stones and also went to the sandy beach in Iona which was only 5 minutes down the road.
The cottage was fully equipped and very comfortable. We particularly liked the Celtic fire pot on the outside patio.
