My family spent a wonderful week (August 2022) in St Martin. The kids are in college now, so the days of having them sleep on the pull-out sofa in our hotel room are gone forever. It’s so nice to have 3 bedrooms, plus kitchen, dining and living room all for what you might pay for a single room. It is not a huge house, and does not have view of the beach, but there is plenty of space for a family, the beds are big and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and the backyard is a relaxing, quiet tropical retreat. Best of all, it is just steps away from the gorgeous Orient Beach. In the daytime there are water sports, beach bars/restaurants that offer lounge chairs and beach service, plus a couple small local food spots. When the sun goes down, there are several fantastic restaurants. Throw in a great little French bakery/breakfast spot, supermarket, even take-out Pizza and Taco places, and you literally do not have to get back in a car unless you wanted to, until its time to head to the airport. Anna is fantastic host. She is very easy to get in contact with at any time, and seems to really be interested in making sure you will enjoy your time on the island.

We spent 10 wonderful days at Anna's property. The house was just perfect for us! The bed was very comfortable. The A/C worked well. The kitchen was fully equipped so we were able to make some meals at home. The pool was a great place to relax with coffee in the mornings, and for happy hour in the evenings. Orient Village is only a very short walk, and that is where we ate dinner most nights. The beach is also very close, so we watched the sunrise on a few of the mornings. We will definitely be returning to this property, hopefully for our anniversary!

Anna is a great host and has a wonderful private home only two minutes to Orient Beach. Upon arrival she took the time to walk us through the home and then to show us the surrounding area. the back yard is very private with a very nice pool. Would definitely stay at this property in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Anna's villa last week. Anna greeted us when we got there and was very available to us, including suggesting outings and helping arrange a rental car before we arrived. There are three nice-sized bedrooms and each had it's own A/C unit. You didn't need to use them until nighttime and then they cooled the room very quickly. The villa is located in Orient Bay. A short walk in one direction leads you to the beach and a short walk in the other direction leads you to the village, where there's a French bakery that's perfect for breakfast and several restaurants in an adorable courtyard setting. All of our meals were delicious, including going to Grand Case twice--a short 10 minute drive away. We highly recommend Quads and Furious ATV tours, my son and I jet skied from the beach and my son even sky dived from the Grand Case airport--and landed right on our beach. The water seemed to be cutting in and out on the island, but Anna has a very large cistern, so it was never a worry for us. It was great having a pool and private backyard to retreat to, for early morning coffee and for late afternoons when we were done with the beach. Anna really thinks of everything, from sunscreen and bug spray to coffee filters to the soaps in the bathrooms. We highly recommend this villa.

If you are looking for a great place to stay and a super host this is the place. The location is fantastic with lot's of great restaurants and a quick walk to the most beautiful beaches on the island. Anna was fantastic! She was able to answer all our questions and made great suggestions. We brought our older children with us and they loved the place as well. Private pool was so convenient after a long day on the beach. I give it a five star!

When we expressed dismay at this (it’s quite loud and would go off intermittently when we used it), she told our daughter that “someone from McDonalds could figure out this alarm”. Apparently, even if you shut it off it gets reset and it has to be shut off again after 20 minutes or so. (My apologies to the neighbors because it was quite loud for the first few days). The house was very comfortable with an amazing backyard. Beautiful plantings that surround the property and in a very safe area.

We stayed at Anna's place for nine days in November 2021 and found it to be a very nice property with all the amenities needed. The pool area is very nice and well maintained and served as a great place to relax. The bathrooms are nice and modern. Best of all is the location. Easy walking distance to the beach, groceries, bars, and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Anna!

There are two main aspects to share about this villa: Anna is a super host and she has provided us everything we needed (and even more), from little administrative things to recommendations about finding nice places, renting car and do special activities. Her support come before our arrival and it was continuous during our stay. This villa is located in the best place of this island. There is only 1-2 minutes from the villa to the beach and Orient Bay is the nicest area we have visited. Also the villa has everything you might need. My only regret was about the departure ! Thank you very much, Anna!

3 Norwegian couples stayed in this house for 2 weeks. First of all Anna is a splendid houseowner. Always ready to answer my questions and she was really there for us and made our stay a memorable one. The house is splendid and the location great. Only a few minutes walk both to the beach and to the grocery store. We made almost all the dinners in the house and ate outside by the pool. I will highly recomend this house. We did not hire a car. Using taxi or local bus was easy. So thank you Anna for letting us rent your beautiful house.

Very nice home in a great location. We are long time visitors of the island and typically travel during our stay all over the island, however this time we were so content with the home and it's location our car almost never moved all week.

She met us at the front gate after giving us great directions on finding the place. Once there, she showed us around the property and even walked us around the local area so we could get our bearings in this new location. The unit itself is awesome - 3 bedrooms including 2 king sized beds and several bathrooms (1 ensuite shower and sink setup, 1 full bathroom with toilet, shower, and sink, and one separate powder room on the first floor). This setup perfectly suited the needs of our family (3 adults, 1 five year old). The first floor is covered with bright white tile and when you walk in the front door you are immediately hit with an awesome view of the back yard pool and lounge area (big enough to host a decent sized gathering!). We used the kitchen a bit to make some meals and snacks and there are plenty of accessories for normal cooking requirements. The backyard lounge area is very private and perfect for those days where you may be feeling too lazy to head to the beach - which is unlikely given the location. The most attractive part of this place by far is the location. The time that elapses between when you lock the front door until your feet are in the sand is about 100 seconds. Within 10 more seconds you have an amazing view of the ocean right next to the newly rebuilt Kakao restaurant. You really can't go wrong! Other times, when we were interested in going to the village for quick shopping or dinner we took a slightly different route and arrived in less than 5 minutes. We always rent a car when in St. Martin so we can visit other places if the mood strikes us but this is definitely a rental unit that does not require a car. Everything you could want (groceries, morning snacks/coffee, restaurants, beach locations, etc...) is so close by. When it was time to leave, Anna came and met us at the unit and wished us well on our way. Overall we were very happy with the location, the unit, and the management of our stay. There were a couple of times where Anna wanted to have some things taken care of and she always gave us advanced notice and asked permission to enter the premises. We had a very enjoyable experience and look forward to renting this same place next year.

Anna's home was the perfect place to retreat into seclusion, yet be close enough to enjoy the very beautiful Orient Bay beach area. Anna promptly met us upon arrival and provided a grand tour of the local area including the all important local short cuts as well as her home. She was warm and welcoming and we couldn't have asked for a better hostess. Her home was clean, comfortable, well appointed and inviting. The back yard is private, relaxing and meant to be enjoyed. She was prompt in making sure a leaking AC unit was repaired and periodically checked in with us to ensure we were ok and enjoying ourselves. I would recommend Anna's home to anyone wishing to experience the charm and friendliness of SXM. The location is extraordinary!! You are a short 100 yard walk along the local sidewalk to Orient Bay beach as well as the center of Orient Bay's town center. I highly recommend you consider joining Anna in Orient Bay for a wonderful vacation!!

We had a family of 5 stay for week before Christmas and enjoyed St. Martin immensely. The property was pretty good overall but nothing to get crazy excited about. It is difficult to find as no real address is published (on purpose by owner) so you have to call when you arrive to get "talked in". This would be fine but we are from the US so phone calls are not simple, and there is some language barrier due to heavy accents - it would be better to have some directions to give the taxi driver. The house itself is in fine shape but not well kept up or cleaned; several cockroach bodies, pool had small amount of algae (not a ton), hot tub water was a bit murky. Also, there was no welcome book that had information about the house or area (normal to have this, no?). The owner wanted to walk us around the area for a tour, but after traveling overnight for 16 hours an immediate walking tour didn't sound very appealing. A simple book with house info, maps of the area, store and restaurant info, wi-fi log in, how to work the crazy door locks, etc is an easy thing to have. The wi-fi router works but is at least a couple years old and not consistent. Also, if you are used to 120V you better pick up some 208-120 converters because there is only one in the master bath so charging devices with 3 kids can be a battle. There is a washing machine for clothes but no dryer (this might be normal for the island but good to know). The house is about a 3-4 minute walk to the beach down a path so that was close enough but from the VRBO it sounded like it was closer. We bought some food at the local grocery and made simple meals for some of the days. There was enough kitchen items to do this but only if the meals are simple. Side note: Out of two of the bedrooms is a big, beautiful patio (no ocean view) but there is no furniture on it so it was something that was definitely missed out on. If you stay here you can definitely have a nice time but there are a lot of missed opportunities so it was not "amazing" like it could be.

Fabulous St Martin rental. Just returned from 8 wonderful days. Location is perfect just a few minutes walk to beach and to shops and restaurants, but still very quiet and private. Nice to be able to have wine with a wonderful French meal and not have to worry about driving. Anna, the owner of the villa, greeted us on arrival and gave us a grand tour of Orient Bay. She is extremely helpful and very welcoming. The house is very comfortable with excellent AC, refreshing pool and everything we needed. We toured the entire island, but enjoyed Orient Bay best. Nicest beach with quiet places or full service restaurants. We kayaked out to Green Cay on several occasions for excellent snorkeling. Excellent windsurfing on Galion Bay (SXM Surf), but cash only and beware Westin time share scammers who flag down cars and give you scratch cards with winning numbers. To summarize, fantastic place to relax on St Martin. Can't recommend more highly and looking forward to repeat visit.

Just returned home from a wonderful vacation on St. Martin. This villa was a perfect choice for my family of four. Plenty of room, extremely clean and in the perfect location. Short, easy walk to beach, restaurants and shops. The owner was wonderful to work with both before and during our stay. She greeted us upon arrival and walked us to the beach and restaurants giving us a tour of the area. She checked on us periodically throughout our stay making sure we had everything we needed and offfered very helpful advise about the island. It was just like having a personal travel agent on site! We will rent from Anna again and again. Also if renting a car I highly recommend NoNo Car Rental. They pick you up at the APO, drive you to the villa and vice versa for your day of departure. And, Bubbles Dive Shop is amazing for snorkeling or scuba! Can't wait to go back!

Outstanding vacation destination! The beach is a couple minutes walk down a paved path. The village is a few minutes and provides great dining, bars, groceries and wonderful morning coffee & pastries. The villa is very comfortable with a magnificent courtyard. It is very private and cozy with a pool and hot tub. But the privacy and lush greenery make it a wonderful relaxing place. We've stayed at many beach places and this one tops them all! We can't wait to return. Anna the owner lives next door and is a wealth of information. She helped arrange snorkeling tours, cabs, dinner reservations, etc. An outstanding host!

We loved the villa and the location. Anna was a pleasure to work. Three adults and 2 kids. Perfect space with 3 bedrooms, the pool and hot tub were perfect with the kids. When the adults wanted to relax, the kids had the pool and hot tub to keep them occupied. 1 minute walk to the beach and the Waikiki beach bar. We had been to the islands many times, but 1st time with the kids. Anna is a wealth of information and pointed us to new restaurants which we enjoyed. The villa is as described, no complaints or recommendations, maybe 1, an automatic ice maker, ran out of ice for the cocktails a few times. My family and I thank you Anna for making it a wonderful vacation.

This was our first villa rental experience, and thanks to Anna it will not be our last. She made the arrangements easy and was onsite (she lives next door) so if you need advice or help she is there. Thanks Anna. The villa is clean and the kitchen is modern, with a small pool and hot tub for evening relaxing. Almost as close to Orient beach as you can get without staying in a resort, 50m down the sidewalk to Waikiki beach bar and maybe 200m to the village square and at least seven great restaurants. AWESOME location for a beach vacation :) It was the first trip to the island for my teenage sons and the memories we made together were for a lifetime. Happiness is....strolling Orient beach in the morning sun.

We enjoyed our stay in Anna's villa in early May and hope to return. The proximity to the beach, restaurants, and shopping made a car unnecessary and added to the total relaxation. It was a real plus having Anna so close as she shared special restaurant tips with us, even providing special options for a rainy day. We highly recommend her villa.

This villa has everything we wanted and more. The villa is more beautiful than the pictures. There were 3 couples in our group staying here and everyone raved at how nicely decorated and clean it was, inside and outside. The pool, hot tub, outdoor eating area and sunning areas were great and watching the hummingbirds at the feeder daily was a huge plus. When not at the beach or shopping, we spent our time outside either in the pool or sitting at the table enjoying the beautiful weather and great drinks. Anna, the owner, is very friendly, gracious, and made sure we had whatever we needed. Having her next door was a big plus also, and she did join us a number of times for drinks. She took time to show us around the area after we arrived, and the convenience of a 2 minute walk to the beach, French restaurants, bakery where we were able to buy freshly made croissants daily, and small grocery store for forgotten items made this part of Orient Bay our favorite area. I would recommend Anna's villa to anyone staying on the Orient Bay side of St. Martin and I would also like to THANK Anna for her graciousness. I truly enjoyed her emails back and forth before arriving in St. Martin and could not wait to meet her. We will stay here again in the future.

My husband and I stayed here for 10 days with another couple and wish we could have stayed for 10 more! It's really a great price for how much this place has to offer. You could make it a great stay without needing to drive anywhere. The breathtaking beach is a minute away, and we went there every day and went sailing, windsurfing, sunbathing, drinking, and relaxing. The FOOD is to die for; we enjoyed each one of the nearly dozen restaurants we tried. And we couldn't have asked for a better villa; we spent a lot of time in the pool, on the back porch, in the hot tub, and inside cooking. We had the opportunity to stay next-door to the owner, and she was so friendly and accommodating. It lives up to the title of "the friendly island"! We would definitely go back.

We have come to Orient Beach for years and stayed at many places. Lately though many of the properties have gone down due to a lack of maintenance and investment. This property had everything (and more) than the pictures and description promised. We arrived after midnight because of a flight delay , we contacted the owner as soon as we landed and we got our keys and access to the property without any fuss or hassle. Anna, the owner, although obviously sleepy,was very welcoming, even at this hour. The villa actually has a cistern resulting to a steady supply of water, which can be a problem in other properties. It also has 2 bathrooms with shower and a guest restroom on the ground floor, The location is perfect, everything was more than just clean, we did not need to be shown around but still received a quick update of stuff that had changed in the village since our last stay. We are sure to return to this property and recommend it warmly.

We had a fabulous stay at this lovely home. Steps from the beach, beautiful backyard with private pool, hot tub and BBQ, well equipped in every way. Anna was very accommodating and helpful. Orient Beach is the best beach in St. Martin. Ten minutes to Grand Case with lots of great restaurants. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
