This property provided us a quiet, comfortable getaway with an incredible view. Having arrived later in the evening, we were immediately aware of just how quiet our stay was going to be when we stepped out of the car to absolute silence. The roads in the area were a lot of fun to drive on and with very little traffic we had plenty of time to get our bearings.
The house was well stocked with essentials, the water bottles left for us were appreciated. The two heaters in the rooms were sufficient and we were cozy and warm the whole time.
We had a brief conversation with the property owner who was very friendly and gave us some great suggestions for beaches to visit. The visitor's guide they provided directed us to a couple of excellent restaurants, close by in Atascadero.
Overall it was an excellent vacation and we will recommend this property to friends and family looking for a quiet getaway close to numerous parks and outdoor attractions.

Place was really nice and prefect for what we needed. Our only regret is we didn’t get to spend much time at the place. We were in town visiting our daughter. We spent as much time with her as possible, so pretty much just slept and showered in the apartment. I must say that I slept really well and that is rare for me. As long as our daughter lives in the area we will be staying here. Thanks

My husband and I booked this property for our 16th wedding anniversary. Our goal was to do some wine tasting and visit the local areas such as Morro Bay and Cambria. What we did not expect was to absolutely fall in love with Atascadero.
First of all, the accommodations were clean, inviting and comfortable. The views were amazing and we truly appreciated the quiet serene environment. Our hostess was really great. We had a bit of a difficult time finding the place so we reach out to the owner and sge quickly answered the phone and got us turned around. It was very chilly during our stay and on day 2, she offered us a down comforter and brought it over to us. She also let us know about the local events that weekend and we had a wonderful time getting to know the town.
The only thing we found disappointing was that we did not stay long enough. Next time, we will need a full week.
Wineries were within easy driving as were restaurants, shopping and our favorite little beach towns.
Check in and out was super easy, convenient, and well explained.
Thank you so much for a 5 star stay!

We were heading out of town to celebrate our wedding anniversary and needed a way to get into nature and recharge. The apartment was the perfect solution. The view of the valley below was amazing. The wildlife we were able to observe was just right. GREAT HOSTS! Definitely recommend.

Small but it has everything you need. Ideal for a couple. We loved it and will be back.

In the midst of a brief but jam-packed visit to the area, it was a joy to waken to the panorama and utter peace of the guesthouse each morning. The space was immaculate and Paula was kind and a pleasure to communicate with. The image that lingers, though, is overlooking the sun-strafed valley and the gift of acorn woodpeckers, red-shouldered hawks, a golden eagle, and two deer families seemingly an arm’s length away. Bliss. Thank you, Paula!

We thought the guesthouse was just lovely, very quiet, only the chatter of various birds, namely the cute woodpeckers ☺️. We loved being so close to nature, seeing deer at every turn. Also, the host were very nice and welcoming; a wonderful getaway from busy city life!!!

We were thoroughly pleased with the location. High up on a hill, away from noise, gorgeous views of the valley, deer and wild turkeys roaming about, peaceful, and serene. The little guesthouse was as depicted in its description and pictures. The bed was very comfortable. This was a perfect little spot for a couple's getaway.

Great place. Clean and comfortable and private. Quiet. Friendly hosts. Wonderful view. Lots of wildlife-deer, quail, and woodpeckers. Convenient location to Paso Robles and Morro Bay. A/C worked great during a record breaking heatwave. Beautiful dark starry sky at night. Highly recommend!

There are exspansive views from this lovely place. It has been done VERY nicely and is super clean. Loved it except for the sofa sleeper which was extremely uncomfortable on a senior's back. Overall, exceptionally pleased with our stay!

This is perfect for a couple’s get away! The space is just right and the kitchen is big enough and user friendly. The bed is one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in! (We are currently trying to figure out what model of tuft and needle it is so we can buy one!)
Potential guests: make sure your itinerary includes a morning to have your breakfast on the deck to enjoy the view and listen to the birds.

Even though the space was small, the layout was excellent and made the place very comfortable. The view is magnificent, and the quiet was appreciated. Lots of birds, beautiful large oak trees, and a great porch to sit and enjoy it all.
Great, welcoming hosts, as well. Thank you.

Perfect little place for two people. We stayed to bike around the neighborhood and was challenged with hills galore and miles and miles of country roads with minimal car traffic. Unit had what we needed and we would definitely consider staying again if we are in the area.

If you're looking for a quiet, cozy, out-of-the-way stay in wine country with a spectacular view, this is your place! We loved morning coffee on the deck, watching the mist rise from the valley & seeing the birds. The property is an easy drive from downtown Atascadero; about 20 mins from Paso/Tin City. The kitchen has everything you need, and the electric fireplace was the perfect cozy touch for chilly spring evenings. Our hosts were so communicative & kind; I forgot a favorite pair of earrings and Paula mailed them back to me! We've already recommended this host to friends and will absolutely book here again!

This was our second stay here. It’s small and cozy but has everything you need. Weather was too cold to use outside deck. I prefer this place when the weather is warmer.

Thank you Bill, Paula, and family for a wonderful stay!! We appreciate the kind hospitality, prompt communication, and the thoughtfulness too. The weather was much colder than usual and the heat was not on when we arrived. We hesitated to turn on both the heater in the living room and bedroom as to not cause an overload on the system as per the handbook. The first night was really cold and we communicated this the following morning. Bill, Paula, their family members were so kind and explained we can turn on both without a problem and also offered blankets and also offered to stop by to check on the heater-we found that when both units were on it was so toasty, so grateful! The views were so peaceful the neighbors friendly and we really appreciate the hospitality of the hosts and look forward to returning. Truly a home away from home feeling. Thank you Bill, Paula, and family members :)

The accommodation was everything we needed and hoped for. Compact but had all we needed. The view was magnificent!
Our hosts were very accommodating and checked several times to see if we had everything we needed.

We really enjoyed our winter stay in Paula and Bill's guest apartment! The place is super clean and although it's compact it had everything we needed for our short stay.
The living room french doors look out from the ridge top over an amazing vista of oak hillsides. When the rainstorms precluded hiking we stayed in and enjoyed watching the antics of the acorn woodpeckers, oak titmice and a couple dozen quail. When the power went out during one storm, Bill came around with a high-powered battery flashlight. It was more than bright enough for us to cook dinner by and the lights came back on just as we finished eating. We really enjoyed our visit.

Beautiful quiet area. Directions were perfect - without them we would have gotten lost. The cottage was a little smaller than I thought but nothing that we couldn’t handle. We didn’t see another sole on the property but did see many woodpecker and deer roaming around. We heard turkeys but didn’t see them. I was a tranquil getaway and we loved it.

With a gorgeous view of the valley, we enjoyed bird and deer watching in the mornings, and stargazing at night. Quiet and peaceful location, with full amenities. We appreciated the full curtains and blinds for sleeping in too.

The property is located just a couple of miles off the main road but feels like it is 50 miles from civilization. We couldn't have been happier. Quiet, quaint and much wildlife around. Within striking distance of all the wineries and Pismo Beach, Morro Bay. Area restaurants are fabulous and the surrounding area people are very friendly. Definitely, going to be on the come back list.
