We absolutely loved our stay at this clean, spacious home situated on a lovely pond! Great for fishing, kayaking and swimming! The kids loved having access to play in the water anytime of the day! It was fantastic having our own little beach to unwind at after a long day at the beach (Old Silver Beach awesome), bike riding (Shining Sea Amazing ) a ferry ride to Martha’s Vineyard (delightful) and sightseeing in Woods Hole (Nobska Lighthouse outstanding) Coming home to such a clean, well appointed house after a day of adventures was just what my family needed! Lots of together time, cooking together, playing and relaxing! So much room! The best memories were created last week for our family!

We had a wonderful stay at the lake house! The house was so clean and the neighborhood was lovely. The lake was warm and my kids loved kayaking and swimming. Dick was very communicative and answered all of our questions. I would definitely recommend this property to all!!

There were 12 of us staying at Dick's, all family. It was a great, clean space that was comfortable for everyone. Easy drive to nice beaches and a wonderful, clean pond in the backyard to kayak, canoe, and unplug. It was so welcoming with a binder of resources, a note, and bottle of wine. We reserved the property a year in advance, and Dick was responsive to my questions and gave clear and easy instructions for check-in and check-out. Definitely recommend and hope to stay here again!

Our family of 8 plus an infant had the best time at Deep Pond! It was well kept, clean, cozy, and the perfect arrangement for us all. The location on the pond allowed us to make use of the kayaks and serene area. It was within a ten minute drive to downtown Falmouth and Menauhant Beach where we spent a great deal of our time. Dick was an excellent host and we hope to plan another trip next year!

This was a family vacation with all our children, spouses and 3 young grandkids. The place was very clean and big enough to accompany all of us with breathing room. It also had all
the amenities we needed! The pond was amazing, lots of fishing, kayaking, canoeing and hanging out by the water. Nice quiet pond. Lots of paths for biking riding and Old Silver beach was beautiful. We all had an amazing time and we will be back!

We loved our week here. The house had everything we needed. Dick was super attentive to our inquiries. The kayaks were very fun and easy to use. Although this property was in a residential neighborhood it was very private and quiet.

Can’t imagine a more beautiful and peaceful place for a family gathering. Deep Pond is surrounded by beautiful woods and crystal clear. Great spot for swimming and kayaking or just sitting and enjoying the scenery. The house is lovely, comfortable and welcoming.

On Golden Pond
Our experience was great! We enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable at the home. It was a perfect place for our family to gather for a relaxing week on Cape Cod with plenty of space for everyone.

Another Glorious Week “On Silver Pond”
This was our second time at Dick’s lovely vacation home.
Once again, we had a wonderful time.

Great place to gather with family
Before we arrived, Dick had provided more information about the house than I’ve ever received before. I loved it! House was clean and very well stocked with nearly everything we needed. We all adored the kayaks and ping pong table. Quiet, private location was great. Beds were wonderful. All in all, it was a truly great vacation.

Amazing house, beautiful lakefront
Our family had an amazing week at this house. The house is comfortable and has plenty of room to accommodate a group but you can also find a quiet corner to read. The kayaks and canoe made for hours of fun and we all loved the outside deck for coffee in the morning. Dick and Joan were great hosts. Very accommodating and communicative. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Perfect Family Friendly Retreat
Well-appointed, family-friendly house on peaceful and beautiful Deep Pond. 10-min drive to town/beaches. Children enjoyed swimming and paddling all day while the adults joined the fun or watched from the dock. Fenced in yard made it so easy to bring our four-legged friends with us! No detail left forgotten. Dick was a communicative and thoughtful host -- would highly recommend!

Fantastic getaway for the entire family.
A wonderful time was had by our entire family at your lovely home.
The location was ideal for visiting the beaches, and seeing the local sights.
We loved the proximity to the bike trail and enjoyed our visit to the local Coonamessett Farm where we picked strawberries and flowers.
There were great running trails through local nature preserves as well.
Your house was always an ideal spot to return home to after our activities.
There was plenty of space for our family to spread out in the house and the younger generation enjoyed a competitive game of Ping-Pong in the lower level.
Our dog loved his daily swim in the pond to fetch a tennis ball or a stick.
The kayaks were great giving us a good view of the rest of the pond.
We spent much time in the morning with a coffee cup in our hands, looking out at the sun glistening off the pond with a chorus of bird songs in the background.
Since the morning sun created a silvery appearance to the water (and with Old Silver Beach in our thoughts), we nicknamed your home “On Silver Pond”.
We truly loved the family pictures that were all over the home as it made the rental house truly a home.
In addition, you are a wonderful artist, and your paintings were beautiful. (In fact, my daughter wondered whether you sold any of them or made prints of them.)
Thank you again for sharing your home with us.

Relaxing and beautiful location
The house was clean and comfortable with all of the amenities we needed. We loved the location and view of the pond. We spent most mornings on the deck and took several walks through the neighborhood during our stay. The house had a ton of room (more than we needed) and we had some great laughs playing ping pong. It was a bit too chilly for kayaking for us but we loved the idea and hope to visit again when it’s warmer to enjoy the pond even more. The owner was kind, helpful and attentive throughout our stay. This all made for a great vacation!

Great Getaway - Nov 2020
Spent Thanksgiving week during Covid with our immediate family of 5. On one of our hikes we found wild cranberries and picked some for our Thanksgiving feast, and even saw a flock of turkeys right outside the house on Thanksgiving! The house was perfect! Clean, tons of room to spread out, beds comfortable, heat worked well, kitchen had all the essentials and the view of the lake from the house divine! We were lucky that the weather was warm enough so we got to make use of the kayaks. Deep Pond is a lovely lake and it was so relaxing paddling around. The house is in a great location as it is close to the town of Falmouth and to lots of hiking trails. I would highly recommend this house and we are hoping to come back and stay during the summer when we can really make use of the lake!

Had a wonderful time

Loved it!
We loved our stay! The house was actually much bigger than expected. There were 9 of us, including 5 teenagers, and we were able to spread out and have some privacy! We LOVED the pond! We spent almost every day kayaking, canoeing and floating on the pond and visiting with the ducks. We also loved the outdoor shower after the long day on the pond! A very relaxing stay in which we had everything we needed. The house was also decorated with the owner's family pictures and his very own artwork. There is total pride in this property. We would love to stay again!

Lovely pond retreat
Perfect family getaway with easy access to all Falmouth has to offer. So nice to come back after a day of biking and take a dip in the pond or just relax in the hammock. House layout made it easy for family time and for everyone to have privacy in their rooms.

What a great area. The house was awesome and relaxing. You felt tucked away while at the house but still had so many things to do and see in the area. The owner was was delightful and very helpful with fun adventures/recommendations for the area. Will def want to stay here again.

Wonderful vacation
This was our second year and it was everything we wanted. The owner is always available to answer questions and the property easily accommodates our extended family, including the new dog. We would highly recommend this house to anyone.

Like a vacation in heaven!
Our family of 10 (2 grandparents, 2 daughters and husbands, 4 granddaughters) have been visiting the Cape as a family for 8 summers. We took a vote as to the best of the 8, and the Deep Pond Retreat won hands-down! It was the most relaxing week we have ever had. The sons-in-law and 4 granddaughters fished the week away, loving every minute on the pond. The house lent itself beautifully to great family time. Board games and cards kept us up past midnight every night. No need for the TV ever. Each of us had private time to read on the deck at the house, do our puzzles, or sit down by the pond and appreciate the beauty and the quiet. Walks in the neighborhood were delightful.
We found everything we needed or wanted in the nearby villages. Downtown Falmouth is beautiful and quaint.
We made great memories during this wonderful week, and we thank you. To us, family is everything! 10 stars for Pond View!

Dream come true
The stay at Deep Pond was a dream come true for our family. There were ten of us and we felt the layout and roominess of the home gave all of us plenty of space to interact well with each other. The children enjoyed the canoe and kayaks on the pond. It was beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture and a friendly feel good atmosphere. I would love to return.

Great vacation
Spent the week with my 4 grown kids and their partners and this house was perfect. Everyone had a great time. Relaxed and enjoyable for all. Loved being able to bring our sweet dog with us. It was an ideal setting and wonderful home. Highly recommend it!
