We enjoyed the space, if you have younger children the two back bedrooms work out nicely as they are attached.
The location was great- there are some fabulous restaurants close by and are within walking distance to the trolley and Audoboun park.
I would have given this place 5 stars, but we had some minor to serious issues with our stay. I will preface that we did check in on Christmas evening- people are busy with their families but there was no urgency in addressing these concerns. Upon check in, we had issues with the front door to the apartment building not locking. We let the owner and property manager know immediately. The door was left mostly unlocked throughout our stay except for the random few times it did work. While the area seemed safe, this left us extremely uncomfortable especially since we traveled with a young child.
The unit was also extremely cold and the heat did not work. We did not realize this until the last night of our trip- it had been warm enough outside that we didn’t notice. There were a lot of extra blankets which we definitely needed. We also did not have hot water the last two days. It went out during our one of our showers and never heated again. It is an older unit, so we thought the hot water tank just needed some time but more than 24 hours later it still wasn’t working. I did let the owner know but got no response.

We've never been to New Orleans before, it was a very nice experience. The home was very nice and just what we needed for nice stay.

Since we had decided to only use public transportation during our week in New Orleans the location was great....just a few steps to a bus stop. The apartment was as described and the beds were very comfortable. the only complaint we had was about the outside front steps which were fairly steep and that first step out the door was somewhat of a challenge but we didn't let that slow us down and we were in and out frequently. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and offered plenty of places to eat and listen to music. We would definitely recommend this apartment and would love to come back and stay again.

Our group of four brothers enjoyed this home. The host was very easy to communicate with and provided all the essentials needed for a great stay. The neighborhood is on the rise with great food options and centrally located to get around. Would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was very nice and clean! I loved the NOLA decor and the access to Netflix! There were restaurants and a nice coffee spot literally in walking distance!
Two of the rooms were connected and had to share a window unit air conditioner which made one room warmer than the other. But it worked out since the other room had two beds in there!

We really enjoyed the location of this property. This area is extremely quiet and felt safe. Yet close to everything. This rental had off street parking which made me feel safe with my vehicle. The beds were very comfortable. The layout and set up of this rental was perfect. Looking for a nice place to stay, then this is it.

We had a lovely stay here. The neighborhood was safe and a great place for the family. We had plenty of room for all 6 of us to spread out, the adults even got a private bedroom away from the kids rooms. Our teens were able to walk around and get coffee on their own, there are many food options within walking distance, it's an inexpensive uber ride to the French quarter, close to a streetcar, and steps from a bus stop.
We can't say enough good things about our stay to anyone who asks, we really enjoyed our trip!
Special shout out to Doris the property manager who took wonderful care of us. Thanks for everything!

We had a great weekend doing our respective “own” things, but it was a great spot to come back together. The location made it possible for us to easily reach everything on our lists very easily. The rooms were well furnished and the linens were very fresh. Thanks for allowing us to use this great space.

The house is roomy and well-planned. Elaine and Doris were available 24/7 to make sure that our first trip to New Orleans was comfortable and worry-free. We were able to walk for a great meal every day of our visit and the nearby Starbucks was a huge hit. We feel fortunate to have chosen the right house and host(s).

This is an older but very nice, and clean, unit with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. We had 3 adults in our party and it was plenty of space to relax in evenings. We bought a week pass for the streetcar; this was about a 15-20 minute nice walk for us, and took us straight to the French Quarter. We choose to tour in daylight hour and it always felt safe. Parking for us was in the street but for most of our stay we were right in front of the unit, and we primarily used the streetcar. Not a fancy neighborhood, but nice and fun architecture, restaurants nearby, etc. We appreciated the unit for its history - if you enjoy older but well-kept accommodations, this could be a place for you. The unit was on the second floor with about 10 fairly steep steps so if you struggle with stairs, you should take this into consideration. We managed OK, but this could be a problem for some. Owner easy to contact and provided full access and other info to us in a timely way. Many nice touches to enhance your stay (e.g., artwork, kitchen items, etc.).

Great stay in a very convenient location close to Tulane. Roads are tight however, but that is the norm with the district. You just have to drive slow and carefully. Host and manager Debra were great.

It is exactly as listed. We never had the need to contact management as everything was there. We would definitely stay again.

We booked this place in October to stay here during Mardi Gras in February. We had spoken to the property manager via VRBO message prior to our stay and were told we could check in at 10 am since no one was in the house prior to us. Days before the stay we had not received a code to get into the door via email. We were told Doris would be there when we got there, but Doris was in fact, not there. We knocked on all 3 doors of the apartment, called, messaged, texted, and even tried calling VRBO from multiple phone numbers; to no answer (the VRBO numbers went to a disconnected line). We got to the house at 10 am and it was not until 1pm that we received a call from VRBO. We didn't hear from the owner of this property until 2 - 3 pm. Needless to say we did not end up staying here and VRBO has refused a refund, siding with the property owner. Stating that she sent an email, when she did not. When we went back to check emails, spam folders, junk folders, etc. there was never any email from this owner. So we had to eat the entire cost for this location. Not worth it. I will never be booking with VRBO ever again.

Really enjoyed the location, walked to Dat Dog and other good places to eat. Off street parking was also nice.

Safe and a good location. Coffee shops close by as well as restaurants. Plenty of space for a family of 6 and it was quiet. I was wondering if parking would have been an issue but we were in and out so much that it didn’t matter (there’s a spot for you as well as parking on street at times, which is easier). There’s also a few stairs so if mobility impaired that would be tough. She also has some good recommendations for restaurants!

The apartment is in an older, well kept building with thin walls. At first we were concerned about the kids being too noisy but it wasn’t a problem. We were able to cook a nice holiday dinner using the pans provided!

We loved staying at this property. It was very clean and charming and in a good neighborhood for walking dogs. It is within walking distance to restaurants and a grocery store. You can walk to the St Charles Streetcar and ride to the French Quarter for $1.25. It is also fun to walk to the Garden District for sightseeing. Elaine, the owner, is very prompt with communication and will make sure you have everything you need for your stay. We enjoyed staying here so much and would like to make it a Christmas tradition for our family.

We came down to watch the Tulane Green Wave win a conference championship in football. The property was in such a cool location next to restaurants and coffee shops. The property was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioner worked perfectly. We will absolutely be staying here again.

We enjoyed our stay over the holiday near Freret and close to Tulane, Starbucks, and a grocery store. . This unit very large and the two back bedrooms are separated from the front bedroom allowing for privacy. Off street parking was a big plus. Check- in was super easy. We would stay again.

The property is located in Freret, where there are a ton of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping within walking distance. The unit, although old, has all the amenities you will need. It has been well cared for, and very comfortable. We would definitely stay again!

We were in town to see our beloved Seahawks play the Saints, an LSU game, and to see the wonderful city of New Orleans. Our stay at this property was fantastic. The place was clean, comfortable, in a great neighborhood, and had everything we required. The owner & caretaker were excellent. Our only suggestion to improve the stay, would be, please upgrade to 2 ply TP!!

I was pleasely surprised with the accommodations. Within walking distance of Trolly. Plenty of near by restaurants. You are in New Orleans, you know the food is good. The only downside was driving in the area. There was a lot of renovation happening.

Prefect location for us to send our daughter off to her freshman year. Easily walkable to Tulane and Loyola. Condo is located in the middle of the action on Ferret. Would be happy to stay here again.
Condo owner and condo attendant both very helpful and easy to work with.
Can recommend!

Elaine's space was perfect for our stay. It was 11 minutes from the superdome where we spent most of our time and right next to all the food and bars you could want. The house was nice and the rooms were set up very well for privacy after a long day, even with 3 people staying in the house. Overall we'd be happy to stay again.

The property is in a great location, but you do have to park on the street. The home is full of NOLA charm. The owner was very responsive to texts and email. I would give it a 4.5/5 because we had a couple of small issues! I would recommend staying here and would be willing to stay again!
