Home is just as described. Loved the lanai and hammock. Quiet neighborhood and right around the corner from the beach. We enjoyed the snorkel gear and beach towels. My husband and I were visiting friends in wailua and this was a great location to use as a jumping off point to connect with them and explore on our own. Would definitely stay here again!

Overall had a decent stay but there were some problems. 1.) the bed was extra firm and I think the floor might have been softer, 2.) the pillows smelled musty and were not comfortable to sleep on, 3.) the shower leaked, 4.) the ceiling fan over the bed worked but made a grinding metal sound when on that made it unusable during the night. The rest of the apartment was fine and the neighborhood was quiet. I would stay there again if the price was right.

Nice location. For the most part the apartment was what was described. There were several minor repairs that should have been fixed, i.e. shower valve and exterior door lock. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

I flew out to visit my husband for a quick 5 day vacation. This studio was perfect. We enjoyed the back deck, bbq, and A/C. It was great being walking distance to the beach. Also appreciated the boogie boards, beach towels and outdoor shower. We will stay here again and could easily have our 12 y/o son with us next time.

The property was just as shown in the pictures with great off-street parking. And the beach access was just around the corner! You come to North Shore to be at the beach. Loved to walk on the beach and sit and listen to the waves. Mike was great to work with and promptly answered any questions we had both before and during our stay.

Mike’s property was the perfect sanctuary for a few days north. The studio was very clean and kitchen well stocked. Bed was comfortable. The courtyard was more lovely than I expected. I especially liked having coffee there in the morning. I would definitely consider staying there when visiting the North Shore.

Quiet & private, more than enough for our needs. Ideal location, 1 block to beach access, 10min south of Turtle Bay Resort, 15min to Old Town Haleiwa, 30min to Polynesian Cultural Center.

We selected the unit out the back with private back yard. Unit very cleaned and had everything you needed. Thankyou

We had a good time, the apartment in back was perfect for us. The neighborhood was in a good location for all the things we did on the north shore.

Very short walk to Sunset Beach which has great swimming with crystal clear water. Teds bakery just over the road & Sunrise Shack a short walk down the road - highly recommend. Accommodation very comfortable & loved the backyard area.

We had a good time staying at this property for a couple of nights. Kitchenette is small but everything worked well and it was enough for the simple food prep. we needed. Sunset beach is very close and you can walk to Ted's Bakery, an old pillbox hike and some of the other beaches in the area. Communication with the owner was quick and easy.

Such a cool little spot, right near sunset beach! Could walk 2 blocks and you get to the ocean. Complete access to the north shore and short drive to the east side. Food land is about 6minutes drive, making it easy to get some snack! Mahalo for the stay

We really enjoyed staying here. It was comfortable and very easy to find. It’s right across the street from Ted’s Bakery which was super convenient. The three fans in the place were wonderful to keep cool too.

I don’t think it was used much prior to our stay. It was clean but a little musty. Unfortunately the hide a bed is broken and apparently has been for over a year. So it really doesn’t sleep three. The mattress for a 3rd person is definitely too small for an adult and only a couple inches thick. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay.

This place was everything we hoped it would be! Clean, homey, fully stocked and a quick walk to Sunset Beach! Great food trucks nearby, grocery store and spectacular beaches. We would definitely stay again!

North shore Thanksgiving with husband while visiting son. It was clean and within an easy walk to beach. This is surfing area and isn’t really meant for swimming in the winter, which we knew ahead of time. Positives included beautiful weather and nice backyard, and clean comfortable room and bed. Negatives included lack of larger plates for dinner, and lack of stove; which were only an issue due to heating up Thanksgiving dinner. We were able to figure out the heating of the dinner with the microwave which also can serve as an oven. The other issue was the chronic wafting of pot smoke from nearby residences; maybe due to increased surfers in area at the time. The owner was short and curt with responses, when he responded. I don’t think he wanted to be bothered and alluded to someone else being responsible for telling me about checkin/checkout. It was a beautiful stay regardless, and we had a relaxing time.

This is a good spot to stay at and clean. Close to the beach and a short trip to Old Town center. I saw the reviews for not getting a security deposit back but I'm taking a chance that it's going to go fine. 👍

The private backyard space wildly exceeded our expectations. Beautiful palm trees, monstera, frogs, lizards, and snails were our companions for the meals we prepared and ate at the property. The kitchen had everything we needed, the space was the perfect size for the two of us but also had a sleeper sofa. Comfy bed, great neighbors close by creating a feeling of comfortable community but perfectly peaceful and quiet by bedtime. The property was gated providing a safe spot to park the car, and a quick and pleasant walk to the beach. Owner was friendly and conscious of being a good steward of Hawaii’s resources. Would come back!
