We loved the resort and the condo, it is an amazing setting on a beautiful island. We definitely would come back, but probably when the weather was more assured. During our stay, there was a cold front that came in that brought gray, rain, lots of flooding, rough seas and gloom. Because of the weather, we didn’t spend as much time outside/on the beach enjoying the wonderful amenities. As such, we had to go out and find fun, and spending more time off island than planned. The local area has a couple great restaurants, but we ended yo driving to Punta Gorda, Sarasota, Manasota Key, etc. to find places to eat and things to do, which is a bit of a haul. But on the nicer days, we walked the beach collecting shells, soaked in the not tub, rented kayaks, and had some nice daily runs on the island. I’d highly recommend this condo and the island, but 1. Be sure to use the kitchen a lot, and 2. Book at a time where great weather is expected

Our initial unit 2424 was in poor condition: broken railing, moldy smell in unit , exposed sheet rock. We were transferred to another unit that was much nicer but lost several hours for items to be moved and the new unit to be ready. The review is based on the first unit that was booked. I was surprised that no one had inspected it before allowing it to be rented out.

A good friend of mine recommended Palm Island Resort to me. I rented two beachside Villas to accomodate my 3 grown children and their families. The pictures did not do the property justice. We found everything to be very clean and well maintained. The staff at Coconuts and the restaraunt were very friendly and personable. I would definately recommend Palm Island to my friends and would like to come back in the future. We loved having chairs accessible for beach use. And the pool was easy to access and maintained well.

Condo rental was nice, but it really needs to be updated. -kitchen, bathrooms, living room- Flooring throughout the condo needs to be replaced. Furnishings are well worn especially in the living room. Beddings could use a more trendy beachy look. Screened patio needs fixing and MB door to balcony does not lock, even though there are two deadbolts. Location is great.

We liked the resort and our unit very much. 1524 was decorated nicely, had new nice stainless appliances, a/c worked good although some rooms got colder than others, and it had a nice view. We were pleased and would stay again! The building is set behind the pool so the view is pool & then beach--I may have preferred direct beach but no biggie.

3 days of fishing golf carting around the island and our units were spacious clean and right by the pool and a great view of the gulf of mexico the staff at the restaurant and bar very friendly and happy. also front desk are friendly at check in and greet you with a smile the most helpful staff at the rental of golf carts and all the other extras were very helpful everyday thank you to all the staff of palm island this was our 35th visit and will be back again soon,

Our family of six had a great week at a Palm Island villa. The property is beautiful and well-maintained. The grounds are fabulous. But the highlight is definitely the 1-2 miles of sugar sand beach and sunsets. Our kids enjoyed the ocean, as well as swimming in the pool and lounging in the hot tub. We were blessed with beautiful and warm Florida weather throughout our stay. The food at Rum Bay and Leverocks was excellent and we were able to have our annual New Years Eve root beer floats from the ice cream shop. We also enjoyed the island activities including tennis, and even a couple of golf cart parades. All said, this is a fantastic family resort with top notch service and amenities.

This was my first trip to Palm Island. My entire family came for my niece's wedding. The resort is beautiful and the three bedroom villa that we occupied was very nice for two couples and three children. I loved the island - very tranquil yet quite warm still in late September! Our grandchildren loved the pool and would have equally enjoyed the beach had the red tide not prevented them from playing there....we certainly hope to return again. And the wedding was beautiful!

Had my daughters wedding on the island. It was a. Beautiful venue, the wedding cordoba toe (Amy) was very attentive and made sure all logistics were handled. My daughter lives 100 miles from the resort worked with the resort remotely. The 3 bedroom was very spacious. We had 90 people on the island and everyone had a very nice stay.

We started coming to PI in 1983 ( It was Island Harbor resort, the Sea Palm Resort in those early years. We have gone nowhere else for our annual Florida vacation since discovering PI. My daughter had her wedding at PI at her "insistence" in 2007. Can't wait to return each year. I can't imagine a better place.

We stayed 2/12-2/19. Nice, clean condo with great view of pool and ocean. In the middle of the week they began replacing the metal roof of the building. There was crashing sheets of metal and riveting that was very loud. Our grand daughter could not nap. They even put yellow caution tape over the stairs to get up to the condo. When we asked them to stop, the workers were very nice and apologetic. When we complained to the management, he made us feel like we were unreasonable for asking them to quit. When you pay $5000 for a week at a place, you would think that not having construction noise on your roof would be a reasonable expectation. The resort is beautiful and not crowded. Other than that, we did enjoy our stay. Easy access to ocean and pool.

We enjoyed ourselves! The weather was perfect and friends were great! However our master bedroom was hit all the time, the guest shower drain drained very slowly so it was taking a shower in ankle deep water, septic tank was leaking and the smell was terrible every time when went outside to go the to the beach, and the guest toilet didn’t flush the last day. I would think after coming there for 18 years and paying more for this unit you would give me a courtesy credit towards my next year stay memorial weekend 2022 since I already booked it. Thank you!

We have stayed in several villas and this one is a top choice. Lots of sleeping room and double ovens so great for larger families. Did have to clear out the bathroom sink drain since it was slow - renters have taken their toll a little bit. Overall awesome place though!
